I just wanted to share that there is a easier way to fish out the sound post if it falls inside the cello. A wooden stick with double-sided tape on the end works perfectly and does not damage anything. It's easy to make and cost about $2 to make.
!! DO NOT STAB at it !! This is how you damage the cello, as you can see, this guy is missing and jamming the tool into the back of the cello. This is also putting risk to the F Hole being damaged. You can just flip it upside down, stop it with the tool or finger and pull it out
"and slightly behind it". Behind is a relative term. Please indicate what behind means in this case. Do you mean toward the center line of the instrument? Do you mean toward the bridge? Do you mean toward the fingerboard? After watching your video I still do not know where to put the sound.
Shaking that instrument like you did and stabbing the back of the instrument like that after slipping off the sound post, I hope you don't do that to other people's instruments.
The hole in the post is located in the upper half of the post which tells you which is the top and which is the bottom of the post. You just installed it upside down with the setter turner the wrong way. Please get proper training before you post a how to video.

I was waiting for that tool to come out through the back of the cello. I shall look elsewhere for a method.

No mate! Anyone who follows what you do is just heading for trouble!

hi there just wondering could you use more than one post ? and would that give it more of a full sound?? thanks.

What a pain in the back that is. Also "f" hole sounds a bit rude, no?
Oh wow. Please do not do this to a real cello.
At least it's a cheap Chinese cello. I don't feel as bad, but this is still painful to watch. And I thought dwarves were skilled craftsmen...
Please do not follow this. It's all wrong.
