Lecture 4 Gauss Seidel method

  • In this lecture, the Gauss-Seidel method is explained to solve a system of linear equations. In order to have a better understanding of this method, two-dimensional steady-state heat conduction problem is considered. The governing equation, i.e., Laplace equation first discretised using finite difference method. A step-by-step calculation is explained so that the audience can perform the same calculation on pen-and-paper. The final result of temperature distribution within the domain is obtained using a FORTRAN code.

    Sir please put jacobian method and also successive over relaxation method
    Gauss seidal method is good
