It’s mainly because people don’t get timing right, sometimes you could have armor or inf in the right place but too late or too early. It’s like if armor was locking down an enemy hab but you have no friendlies around to secure it, eventually that armor is gonna get blown up unless friendly infantry can get there on time. In another scenario, if infantry get entrenched in a capture point but then enemy armor starts hitting them and they have no friendly armor to respond to it, they’re going to stay cooped up inside buildings or behind cover while enemy infantry pushes up to them and flushes them out. 99% of the time on invasion, logi’s push way ahead of armor, and 50% of the time run into some guys with an RPG, HMG, etc. and die first. If they just dismounted early and pushed on foot with armor, they all wouldn’t get eviscerated at the same time. That’s another problem with squad too. People go into places blindly thinking it’s clear when they have no intel on it. The only time this is acceptable is at the start of the round, when you know 100% there’s no enemy contact around. It’s better to take it slow rather than to risk blowing up and costing the team 14 tickets. The only thing about this is that it can be pretty boring sometimes to just wait for armor to catch up to you or get into position, but IMO the most successful way (though usually not fun) to play squad is to play very carefully and patiently based off of how your team plays instead of following a strict plan.
