Easy lad . Good to see you back at it I think you need a mk2 g60 front and rear engine mount and a mk3 diesel mount for the gearbox, I mean all the metal bit of the mount from a mk3 then you can use all the oe mounting points . The G60 rear engine mount bolts straight to the block and if I remember right gives you the lift to straighten the engine up and standard G60 front engine mount bracket bolts up as normal . It's been a while since I seen it done but I'm sure that's what my mate used . Hope all is good your end. Dave
Hi Dave, thanks dude I am down to 1 day at the farm so it's been slowly building it be nice to get back it full time, yes the mounts have been a sod but I happen to have a 16v kicking around so going borrow some mounts. Also the gearbox turned out to be 02r rather then 02j so that's why I had drama. It was human error
@@CRAZYRUSTYVW hi mate. Good things come to those who wait mate . I think the 16v mount will let the engine still backwards bud it dont lift high enough so its sits level if that make sense. You can try it but I'm not 100% it will sit the back golf the block up . Mmmmm that's a strange one for the box mount . I'm sure you can use early ibiza ones to if I remember right again I'm not 100% on that I know once you have the right ones you can use mk2 rubber mounts I'm sure they all work fine
It's all trail and error at the moment I found out I will have to change the master cylinder and there is a long list of things todo I suspect the engine will be back out in a few days haha
@@CRAZYRUSTYVW ye you will have to change the master cylinder defo . You can use one from a ford focus mk1 as there short enough to sit in place when the engine is there . Oh I know there is a big list of jobs to do lol
