You can tell there is a huge difference with the CGI, special effects, and lighting. Netflix definitely gave them a huger budget than season 1. It's way better.

It will never be Game of Thrones because the entire story already exists so there will not be a HORRIBLE letdown, ruining the entire series like with GOT! They are adapting one of my favorite series from fantasy and it is already ALL THERE. It is brilliant.
I read the books and got immersed in the universe before they were "hip" and "cool". Are there things that are different than the books? Yes. Was I shellshocked when the show did things different than the books? Absolutely. Do I give a fuck? Why would I? If you love the books, read the books. If you want to treat games as cannon, go ahead and do that (Although the ending in the books fit the world that we were put in, I liked how the games continued the story). I read, played, and watched all I could and now I'm more than happy to consume a different story than there was in the books. Seeing Cintra, the golden dragon, Geralt helping with the strzyga (idk how it is called in english, foltest's daughter), those scenes reminded me of the time I used to read witcher as a kid. Just be happy for the ride and don't be so ass mad. And I won't lie, as a Polish person, I'm just happy that so many people are immersed in the universe that was created by a Polish person. It's just like the people who read LOTR and HP. The book readers were crying about the differences made in the movies, while people new to those worlds fell in love and got immersed into it, perhaps reading the books afterwards. People who care about the books will read the books, people who want to enjoy the show can enjoy the show. Just a while ago people were shitting on Sapkowski and saying how the games popularized his books, what do you think will happen after the show after so many people watch it? For many people it starts with a movie, show, maybe a game, and if they will want to see the books for what they are, they will.

I have never watched Game of Thrones. I have watched all of season 1 of The Witcher and am 4 episodes in to season 2. Season 2 was only released 30 minutes before I started watching. Back to work tonight and complete watching season 2.

It's better than Game of Thrones because Henry Cavill is a better actor not to mention he is even better to look at than any actor in GOT. He is even better looking than Brad Pitt. Witcher is completely different. That's what makes it so great I'm totally hooked. I thought he was the perfect superman, but he is the Witcher. The female lead is incredible as well. Really enjoyed the first two seasons. It was a bit confusing to me in the beginning (I had never heard of it before and had no idea it was a game…I’m old! Lol). But I wanted to see it play out and eventually caught on.
I am still a die hard GOT fan- up until like season 7...post battle of the bastards was tough to watch, but season 8 was abysmal. That being said, I think the witcher is going to be better. The books are all complete, way stronger fan base, and actors/writers/directors/etc that are truly fans of this show and wish for a truly adapted delivery over 7 seasons I think they said.

Now Game Of Thrones was the greatest show on earth, I don't think anything will ever take its place, but I feel The Witcher will become my favorite number 2 show on earth. I can’t believe the fanboys/girls singing this shows praises. Did I not watch the same show as you all? Waited a super long time for another huge let down. And I’m a huge fan of the game. Nothing interesting happens till the last 5 minutes of the last episode. Need more episodes to flush out the character development in season 2. I can’t believe they didn’t even do a flashback to flush out Vesemir at all. For none of the other Witcher’s. I had no reason to care for Vesemir or any of the other Witcher’s. One thing game of thrones did right aside from how it ended was we could really connect with the characters and all of them were multidimensional - but with Witcher for the most part it’s very shallow. Like Jamie from GOT - you despised him and then ended up understanding/appreciating and even loving him. Amazing story arcs with all the main characters. 2 seasons in and we know very little about Gerald beginning and relationship with Vesemir. The main character of the show has not had nearly the character development of Yennifer - only character with good character development. Oh and maybe Ciri. I’m saying for those who are not familiar with the games and/or books. Maybe it just needs more seasons and I just need to be patient. Admittedly, I never read the books. So I might be wrong.
The fight scenes so far in season 2 are lacking. They LOOK choreographed and that's not a good thing. George might have thought that more talking would help but I disagree. Too much talking will lose the audiences attention. It's certainly losing mine and I'm only on EP 2.

The main character of the show has not had nearly the character development of Yennifer - only character with good character development. Oh and maybe Ciri. I’m saying for those who are not familiar with the games and/or books. Maybe it just needs more seasons and I just need to be patient. Admittedly, I never read the books. So I might be wrong.

Acting, production and cgi ramped up quite significantly in S2. Unfortunately, writing and editing are still bad.

The fight scenes so far in season 2 are lacking. They LOOK choreographed and that's not a good thing. George might have thought that more talking would help but I disagree. Too much talking will lose the audiences attention. It's certainly losing mine and I'm only on EP 2.
You're thinking the fast man to have died in The Avengers. You guys make a new movie with a new hero to the Fast Man, like Spider-Man.
