I still see the song as Rammstein's answer to the criticism of the two big churches, the Catholic and the Protestant, to the cover of the Mutter album. The criticism was at its peak at the time when the song was released on the Links 2 3 4 single. But suddenly all criticism was silenced. Even though CD releases are planned months in advance and not just another song can be put on the CD, this was the band's perfect response to the criticism. I think Rammstein knows the media only too well and had already expected this.

Not sure if it's Paul or Richard that sounds like they're putting an "R" on the end, or which is doing the falsetto, but I dig it. Then Flake comes in with the spooky organ! It's just such a funky song.
Hallelujah, a Song that is less well known and was only released as a Single in 2001. Only to be found on Rammstein - Rarities (1994-2012) I think the Song is ok, I didn't even know the Video, it was a good Performance! Good Reaction! 👍

Not many bands would so blatantly criticise and condemn, not just the perpetrators of these crimes but also those who turn a blind eye to what is going on. They hold a mirror up to society and yes, make many uncomfortable with what they're showing. It doesn't mean it's any less true though.
