From 1984 unto 2008, Josef Fritzl kept his daughter locked under his own house (where he lived with his wife who claims she didn´t know about it). He had 7 children with his daughter in the basement. Some he kept in the basement, some he took up as "adopted". One died. Real horror. Rammstein caught the mood.

"Wiener Blut" means "blood from Vienna" and is the name of a concerto Waltz and an operetta from 19th century in Vienna (just to understand how Till Lindemann´s mind works connecting stuff). 🙂

Und so entsätzlich und unerträglich das auch ist - es ist gut, dass es Bands wie Rammstein gibt, die so einen Horror thematisieren und musikalisch verarbeiten! Till is a great actor/story teller/performer.rammstein asked the daughter for permission of this song.they have indeed really dark subjects where no one sings about.now you're ready for the hard stuff 😊
based on a real life story where a girl was kept prisioner in a basement by her Dad if memory serves and back on this summers tour live set, yup, Rammstein in top form and I believe the surviving daughter gave permisssion to the Band to perform it live, not one of my fav's but can see why so many fans love it despite the dark subject
Yep nothing like seeing the boys with the afterburners on and they are in overdrive here. Sick music and sick story telling yet again from Till. They’re not afraid to touch on the very dark parts of human history and they do it in such a way that no one has done before. Great reaction mate. Disturbing story but mind blowing performance 🤘🤘
Wiener Blut was inspired by the case of Josef Fritzel who held his daughter, Elisabeth, captive in the specifically adapted basement of the family home for 24 years. There, he sexually assaulted and r@ped her repeatedly ( amongst other terrible things) resulting in the birth of seven children. Six survived, three of which were brought up by Fritzel and his wife after he claimed they were foundlings. The release of Elisabeth and the three remaining children only came about by chance and the whole hideous story was then revealed to the authorities. Fritzel still claims to this day that he did nothing wrong and recently tried to obtain a transfer from prison to a hospital. The request was, as I recall, denied and for that, we should all be grateful. He's a monster who should never leave prison. Till is completely in character during the performance, mesmerising but at the same time, chilling. Everything fits together so well in the song. Great reaction to a song about a particularly difficult subject.

Many of Rammstein’s songs take on dark themes and they highlight things that are troubling for mankind. This song is a perfect example of that. Mein Teil is another example of them taking a news story and making it into a song. Hallelujah is about church abuse… Though the topics are dark, they are all BANGERS 🤘🏼

One thing I forgot to mention is that it’s interesting watching this version compared to Wacken. For the Wacken version they never show the audience’s faces. Great shots of the audience for this one.
I am a German Rammstein reaction video addict. I belong to this herd of "Besserwissers" (people who know everything better and feel the urge to teach the world a lesson). After five years I guess I have seen all reactors, the good , the boring and the snoring. You definitely belong to the first category. It's amazing how you detect the vibe of a song and relate it to the lyrics. IMHO Wiener Blut goes into a deep, not everyone wants to know much about. I like your reaction, though.
