What's not to love about Gorkamorka? The variety of choices for making your mob is great it makes for interesting campaigns. Not to mention upgrading weapons & vehicles. So much fun to play (and watch). WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!
Things we did in our campaign, based on the models that were available way back when. Traks are probably the most cost-effective transport, as you can have a "truck" style body (to hold more boyz) so long as it has treads instead of wheels; the lost of 1" movement isn't critical (or at least not in our campaigns). The ability to not suffer the movement penalty for traversing dunes made traks a must-buy in our campaign; so much utility and save five teef. Bikes, while fun, are fairly expensive once you start mounting weapons on them. Tip with those is to model a sidecar (I used a space marine attack bike chassis as a base...ah, the old days of Troll when you could buy bitz) so you can ferry your boss or hand-to-hand combat specialist across the field quickly. Also have a yoof in the sidecar (as a meat shield). There was absolutely no benefit to taking a buggy; the cost the same as a truk and could only have a drive and gunner. Sure you can mount a weapon on it but you're better off taking a trak (or tracked vehicle with a truck body). We made them "maneuverabla" so if you suffered a spin-out result, you could make up to a 45-degree turn...handy for keeping that heavy weapon trained on your opponent. Heavy shooters were *the* heavy weapon to take as the sustained fire and high strength put holes in vehicles, boyz, grotz and muties. Customization with more sustained fire and higher strength are a must. Best way to train up a yoof safely (well safe as you can living on Angelis) is to make him crew either a wreaking ball (if you're a gambling warboss) or the grabber claw; the claw's good for possibly picking boyz off a vehicle and holding them hostage but only does one penetrating hit (which is fine...experience for that yoof to quickly become a boy). I don't recall if experience for ramming was mentioned in the rules but we awarded experience for the driver if they rammed a opposing vehicle and caused damage. Kannon with more dakka and higher strength were fun but really close ranged. Six-shootas with more dakka/higher strength were great, especially when used by someone with the rapid reload, gunfighter and decent BS. Best way to take out a vehicle? Wrecker/good right arm skills and S4 with a 'uge club/choppa (one of my boys had an oversized prybar, great for breaching engine blocks or tough mutie hide). Ah, fun times.
A yoof can't man the wrecking ball because is not a boy, as per rules. Also, kannon can only have more dakka as upgrade. And yes, ramming counts toward awarding exp but only if is done on purpose (if you fail a boost check and Ram into a vehicle destroying it, it gives you no exp)
@@17blaziken My bad, been a LONG time since I played last. Diggaz were just 'meh' because their vehicles usually had that 'annoying damage' but we did have one mob that had several diggaz with decent BS; their preferred tactic was the 'drive by' or run down models on foot thanks to extra spiky.
Serious injury means you avoid the death result. A warrior can't die from those additional wounds, you reroll that. On the downside, you also reroll full recovery. Those are meant to be wounds and nastyness. At least you can attempt to kick an ork off the gun and replace him with a bit of brawling.
Love that you're doing this campaign. I'm a vault member so will watch all of them. Always wanted to play this game when I was a teenager when it came out reading about it in white dwarf. Cool to watch it get played. Let's go rockers!

Methinks Dave didn't learn about the perils of having a vehicle the size of a canal narrowboat from watching Quirk and Steve in season one... but there's no denying "Da Rool o' Kool" when it comes to the traveling stage (and why isn't it called "Da Stage" anyway?). Looking forward to watching the rest of the campaign!

hey, i see you commented a year ago, but if you're still looking (or if anyone else is, for that matter), you can now find all the rules on yaktribe (there's even an updated community-made version of the rules, but you'll want to check the scan of the original rules, too, because it contains all the weapons profiles/gubbinz/etc)
Work hard at content on TH-cam. It may be that the shorter videos are more impressive and more enticing. Probably giving your crowd way too much here. And honestly after a whole two minutes of listening to you guys yell "WAAA" I'm done. The handheld moving around camera is difficult to watch. Put the camera on a stand shoot for seven different angles and make it Dynamic and editing. Swooping Hammer around only gives me a headache and makes me a little sick to my stomach. Will be much more interesting with several dinette Dynamic shots as he says he talked about the manager and talking about the miniature shouldn't take a whole 15 minutes. Yeah I know it's a really nice truck or whatever but dude! On a train Builder he never has time to game. I've actually adopted your original motto I work so you can play. I think you guys would be better served doing shorter videos referring patrons to your patreon account which I'm assuming you have one. Also kickstarter's and go fund me this could be very helpful but on the seventh comment here it sounds like you have a very small viewing base to begin with. And I'm guessing it's because people are just stepping away after the first couple minutes. I'll see you guys on here who said you got the right idea of putting a whole campaign of all. Maybe you do maybe you don't. What if This Were a great teaser you left several Cliffhangers you left people wanting to see more and then went running to your patreon account so they could watch more. if you're having thrusters move +d6", it rather begs the question why anyone would buy a trukk when traks are 5 teef cheaper
