Welcome to TH-cam Amir! It's been a long time coming. It's great to hear your voice after lurking around your website for the last 3-4 years. I've been reading your forum posts for a year now, I've always had questions about the various measurements and the best-case scenarios. This explains all of them. Thank you so much.
I've never posted on the website, (yet!), but I instantly subscribed to the channel. First class Amir, and my Thxs. ... Now I'm booked in to see my analyst as I just can't get a certain avatar out of my head!
Hey Amir. Love your videos. Purchased the Topping A30 Pro (it’s a little moNster, love it!) and ordered my D30 Pro today so in about a week I’ll be set up quite nicely; based in large part on your extremely technical and precise testing. Thanks again and take care.
It's sooooo weird, but quite nice to finally put a voice behind all of these reviews I've read, LOVE your work! Maybe a video where you go over how you measure stuff to finally dispel the head-fiers and such?
This is incredibly welcome! Ever since I came across your site I've been thinking TH-cam would be a nice place for this. Very educational and certain to reach a new audience.
Yes, I have been wanting to do these videos for a long time. Doing the first one is always the hardest as it takes most initiative. Last night I just decided, "heck I am just going to hit record and post it." Good to have gotten that behind me.
@@AudioScienceReviewQuite a few videos in myself I still feel like that sometimes. These things seem pretty straightforward, but if editing takes a lot of time just consider getting an editor. Out of curiosity, are you recording through your ADI-2? I feel like that masterpiece is a foreshadowing of what audio equipment can become if manufacturers are held accountable to their claims and need to develop functionality to distinguish themselves.
Listen to my A30Pro feeding into my Schitt Asgard3. What a combo. Beautiful sound stage, natural vocals, and far more relaxing than an ESS Sabre DAC. I mean this DAC is solid gold even minus MQA decoding or Bluetooth. Trying to get a good sounding DAC has been a chore for me. Thank god. Finally found what I'm looking for. Bravo Topping and Cirrus Logic (Wolfson).
I purchased this morning the D30 Pro + A30 combo after browsing some other channels and forums for a couple of weeks. Later today I found your channel and your reviews are giving me a lot of joy. I also have the KRK Rokit RP5 G4 speakers, so it seems that this channel was made for me, hahaha. Hah! Found this channel through the algorithm. Haven't visited the website for a while, so this was really out of the blue. Really like your work Amir 😊
Great video going through the measurements. Really helps out in putting the numbers in to context for someone that can't relate the measurements to anything really.
I have come to learn its not just about the technical specs, total accuracy that is important but t is the over all presentation be that sound and appearance of the hardware wise that suits the listener.
Congratulations to your first appearance here on TH-cam. The forum you have established (ASR, Audio Science Review) is indispensable, including the contributions of so many collaborators. I am probably not he only one who is interested in learning how measurements work, what the differences between good and badly constructed dacs, amps etc. are and what the graphs and figures mean. Maybe someday you could show how distorsions and noise sound while the deterioration is depicted on a monitor. Consumers will be able to decide for what kind of performance they are willing to pay. Thanks in advance, Amir.

As I write this comment, I see that the up/down vote ratio is currently 209 to 5, but the naysayers didn't post their criticism. Is is really versatile and good enough to justify the high price for this old guy whose vision, like his hearing, is not what it used to be in the past? Lighting near a computer screen is tricky, because sometimes one would like to light up things on the desk while not washing out the screen image.)
