    Guys your videos rip! Your channel is great and your tips are very useful! I was wondering if you could give some advice to either longboard riders, like how to perform a correct hang 5, hang 10, walking the steps, old-school turns and many other maneuver. Thank you! Cheers

    Cheers for the video, I was literally struggling with this today, every time I tried to bottom turn my board didn't come with me and I fell. Thought I was doing everything right (opened up shoulders, looked), but in hindsight I needed to compress! Everything happens so quick on a wave :/ Congrats on the 50k fellas

    Hi guys, thank you so much for all the videos, I find your channel really useful and super well done. I was wondering if you have any tips for beginner/intermediate surfers who struggle with front side surfing... I guess it's quite uncommon, but I am a regular footer and I find it much easier to catch and surf left hand waves. Thank you in advance, and hope to hear from you :)

  • @michaelwilson8760

    Thanks Ryan and Kale's, for your fantastic lessons, ... yep keep low, this is a key tip, it's how I ride, altho' sometimes my speed is too fast, there's also these tips, if I may please contribute something to discussions, $$$ use your back arm as a rudder in the wave , $$$ place your powerful back leg inside the centre of the rear fin triangle, for maximum control and power in turns, $$$ plus get both arms up in the air, try to do only one manouevre on each wave delected in order to develop best timing technique and choice of selection of the most suitable repertoire until you've perfected each type of move, then move on to another skill , good luck thanks 4 shareing keep up high on the waves! Aloha from the cold waters of Kulinia ! Also, if you are goofy, switch to regular, if you are regular switcb to goofy, you may be surprised how fast you develop in new ways by turning to your more powerful side, good waves one and all, please exscuse me ,,

    Hi guys! I love your videos and you guys give me so much inspiration so I'm really gratefull to run into your channel.
    I started surfing last summer in Bali at 25 yo, came back to Italy I kept surfing but here the swell in everything but consistent so you're already lucky to go surfing once a month. So besically I decided to quit my job and to move to bali for at least a couple of years because I DO really want to learn and get good enough at surfing. Do you honestly believe I can do it or I'm "too old"?

    • @HowtoRip
      @HowtoRip  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course you can do it, you sound driven and very committed, especially making that move to Bali. They say it takes 10,000 hours to reach 'mastery' at a certain skill, so the more hours in the hour the better! Keep at it and you'll get it Umbo!
