Awesome video on your LS swap. I did the same thing on my 1991 Toyota pickup regular cab with 2 wheel drive. If you use a LS1 corvette water pump and pulleys, you can fit your electric fan behind the radiator for better cooling. I am using an aftermarket low profile rear sump oil pan for ground clearance and to clear the frame crossmember and sway bar. My 5.3 is hooked up to a 4L60e transmission and has been running great for the last couple of years. I used a LS1 low profile intake manifold to keep the original hood and have the sleeper stock pickup look. Enjoy your killer truck.
Look at the holley 302-2 pan or to save money, the summit LS swap pan is pretty much the same for less. They are shallower in the front. designed to clear inner tie rods on chevy muscle. The summit LS cast iron manifolds which are the same as the HOLLEY/HOOKER cast iron would have fit better than the headers. They are tight to the block and dump next to the bell housing. FYI.
Man, this is getting me all stoked about doing an LS swap on a 2nd gen sidekick. Ive wanted to do that for a while and im just waiting for the right candidate to come across Facebook marketplace lol
Thanks for the vid. I went for the LQ9 (aka 6.0 LS).Still working on some cooling issues and I did the SAS which needs a knuckle rotation. Why I did it I still don't know, but I love it. Just waiting to inevitably break something.
Any advice I have the current advance adapters setup in my 94 Toyota bolted to a 350. But I’m using the w56 trans. As long as I don’t run it hard could I use my current trans setup and drop in an LS. I would rather have the R150 but it’s hard to find in my area
Can you guys add the link for the motor mounts? I’m sitting on an LS and just got a somewhat built 1984 toyota pickup in trade for a 2 door Cherokee I had and was gonna swap. So glad yall dropped this!! I’m gonna do it.
How much did you have to beat the fire wall back? Or did you just leave it alone and it fit? im really curious because the 5.3 swap is what ive alwasy wanted to do, just seemed a little hard at first. Awesome swap, this video is giving me a lot of confidence i can do the same.
I probably have the oldest LS swap in my 1991 Toyota pickup. State certified in 2003. CA legal. A mix of GM parts that work perfectly with Toyota parts. No major cutting whatsoever. I love my truck. Best decision ever.

Oh “brother”, we goin’ on a ride today!!
You can always try the Corvette accessories crank pulley water pump etc
Should give you another inch or so
@michaelkoch5236 works great as is though. So no need at the moment
I love this but am curious as to why not swap in the nv4500 with a transfercase as well?
Can’t wait til you get a 2post hoist. Cab off, endless room for activities 👍

What throw out bearing did you use and flywheel/ pressure plate?
Need more content on the ls swapped one
@dannyreid1845 There is a few videos now 🤣 Its a new build, we will certainly have more in future
I’m wanting to do the same in my 94. What did you guys do for wiring? That’s the part that I’m not sure what route to go.
What a unit! Yeah i bet that has more jam thsn the 3.0 lol
loved this one!

What did you do for intake tube and air filter? Looks like the maf is just bolted directly to the throttle body
For now that's how it was to do that test drive to get footage. It's gonna have a proper intake 🤣 Still needs a bunch of tidying to do really.
i hope he upgrades that oil pump and pick up
What differential you guys have? I did 6.0 on my 79 but no burn tire like this one , sick 👍
4.56 gears on stock rear axle
What drive shaft? Just put my 5.3 and factory 5 speed together just looking at the next step.
Custom
Love it 🔥
What spring length y’all runnin up front?
I’m ls swapping my 91 with the r150 what slave cylinder and master did you use for the clutch?
@dannyreid1845 slave and master came from a FJ40
You think it’s possible to LS swap with r150 it with ifs?

Sick engine swap! I gottta ask why boyboy as a name haha 👌🤘🇨🇦
Turbo that thing
800whp that thing will safely make
Will make 1000+
With the right setup🤙
Sweet, and all without completely rebuilding it for your piece of mind lol
Nope, straight from the junkyard. Just the way we like it!
Will that bellhousing work with a 6.0?
Yup!
No fuel pump upgrade? I thought ls need more pressure?
Nope, works great without an extra fuel. The Toyota is pretty high pressure. I've used stock 3.0 pump for years with my V8
@@DirtGarage Thanks! Keep up the great videos! Loved this one
That’s rowdy AF
Boy boy's 5.3 toyota build is freaking sick. Only real men add more pink to their truck.
What a beast
People GOTTA know.
Holley 302-2 oil pan
Should've put a bigger camshaft in it
was that a half turkey / half duck?
looks like a Muscovy duck
His name is duck duck and is just a duck 🦆
Hell yeah!
Beautiful
Very awesome
Oh fuck yah I can’t wait to swap out my 3.0l to something better
A burn out with an LS is a rite of passage...if not done owner is deemed....and I’m sorry, a poser. So well done guys🤘😆

@@PseudoKirby Dont worry this is coming.
ewww. Why put chevy garbage in a perfectly good Toyota?
Did you miss the part where we mention that this Yota is not "perfectly good"?
@@DirtGarage Nope. You should have put more yota parts in it!
@@jasonmuse1866 the ls is a way better engine lol, actually has power
