- Surprisingly light and comfortable in hand, this slim, nimble Spanish Bowie feels like it's giving me an appealing hybrid of Bowie and Stiletto in terms of martial potential.

I found that this knife sits very comfortably in my Buck 119 sheath. Fixed the problem with the original sheath’s pesky snap ring in a heartbeat.
"Food Prep with Big, Scary Knives" yes please! Sounds really cool.
Also 8:33 Squirrel!! lol
That would’ve a good hunting knife.
Check out the Work Tuff Gear Puzon Wilderness Bowie
Beautiful knife!
That is exactly the same response i had to the 6 inch Muela bowie when i got mine. it really surprised me with how durable, light and responsive it was.
and much like you, that mid handle secure strap on the sheath made me crazy lol.
I've got a Puma SBG review coming. Similar size and blade shape, but full tang.
The Cazorla reminds me of the Buck 119. I also like the Muela Cherokee which is a bit larger. :)
You could always use a Magnet to test how long your Tang is. That is an Eye catcher of a Knife.
Sometimes a magnet will not help, I saw a video of a disassembled Muela Scorpion 26 N handle, and there you can see an interesting design, a short tang and a long skeletal structure made of non-magnetic metal, apparently an aluminum alloy, on it. I read that such design is quite reliable.
Magnet says half-tang (same as on the cable tang CS Laredo). I watched some video of the Muela factory that showed glimpses of both rat tail and partial tangs. They used to sell bare blades with welded-on rat tails. Company CEO warned against chopping with them, but still calls them "outdoors" knives. I was going to buy the Muela Mirage but saw a video of someone breaking it inside the grip, cutting away the rubber and finding a very short half tang with a single rivet inside of what turned out to be a pretty fragile aluminum or Zamak frame. So: no heavy use.
@@michaelrizzo5523 Yes, I found a video "Muela Mirage 18 with broken handle" , this knife has the same handle as the Scorpion 26. I also watched the Mirage`s heavy test and it passed without damage, but the author said that the seller warned him that this knife is not intended for heavy duty works . Well, yes, these knives are designed for other tasks.
In the past in the ussr , cheap so-called “hunting-souvenir” knives from the GDR were often popular as outdoor knives, the " outdoor " function of which was mainly to cut bread and sausage. For serious camp work, a camping ax was used.)
Cheers. I'm back. Just a lazy thing I do. Is I anticipate, inwhich I snap the straps together, getting em out of the way. I also prefer to carry Dundee style. 🖖☘️
Yes please to "food prep with big scary knives!"
Sexy knife? Absolutely! Food prep with big scary knives? Count me "IN"!!! And btw, excellent video Mike! I really like that type of swedge sweep. Like on the Prather Bowie. The Puma video of yours also has that type of sweep but, no mystery tang which I like and the shorter guard (which I also really like). But no lie man, I really like that knife's look AND, it also stood up to your tests which counts, A LOT!!! Again, GREAT VIDEO Mike... Still undecided as to which one to get but, it's definitely gonna be one of YOUR reviewed knives!
Warning on this one (and the Joker "mystery" tangs): Magnet test says it's probably a partial tang, maybe only 1/3 length.
@@michaelrizzo5523 thanks!!!
Beautiful. Like everything about it. 🤙🖖☘️
