SimCity and F-ZERO were the two launch titles we bought along with my SMW-bundled SNES back in the day, I was such a huge SimCity nerd. SUCH NOSTALGIA. 😌👌
Sims 2 Castaway did have a PC counterpart actually, Sims Castaway Stories. Premise was the same in concept except it used the TS2 engine and even had a story mode.
The original Sims for PS2 was and still is one of my favorite games ever. So many good memories, and so fun. I also enjoyed Bustin Out and Urbz Sims in the City
The Sims has always been a really easy game to run on pretty low end laptops and computers (except The Sims 3), so if you really want to the a game like The Sims 4 than just buy a simple laptop and you can still get a pretty decent exerience.
When I got The Sims 3 on the 3DS, I was surprised at how similar it was to the PC version. There were no expansion packs and you could only have one save file with Sim, but it still played a lot like the PC version especially when compared to The Sims 2 on the DS.
The Sims Bustin Out was everything. Just for the story mode and it’s outrageous events. Even better in Free Play you get to have kids and everything. It was soooo much fun.
Sims 2 was the best for me especially because you can take full control walking around using ur controller instead of clicking on things to send your sim to and the story was 🔥
honourable mention to sims 2 ds? the weirdest but coolest sims spin off, whole game is a fucking fever dream and is strange af but it was fun to play 💀 one of my fav childhood games
I grew up with Sims on console, it was great. Bustin Out was my favorite closely followed by Sims 2. Urbz wasn't bad.. Sims 3 is where it stopped working on console for me.
I had Sims 2 for PS2 and me and my husband, while we were dating, would have so much fun on 2-player split screen trying to set the house on fire, kill each other, and haunt the house.
my first experience with the sims was the gamecube release of the sims1, and i mainly played them on console bc my family didnt have a pc until i was in high school. i think that helped me enjoy both styles since when i did get to playt he pc games i could still aprpeciate the console ones for the fun they gave me as a kid
I really liked the Sims 2 on the DS and GBA. They have nothing in common with the PC Sims 2, but are standalone stories. In terms of gameplay it is more like a RPG. In the DS version you run a hotel, on the GBA you star in a movie.
@@rysc12345 the DS and GBA have those, too. In the DS version you have a waterpistol which you can use against alien-invasions. Also you can tip over a cow, milk her and you get a milkshake you can use to restore your sanity while looking for mummified aliens in the desert 😆
Now that I think about it... you also have a cult. Ava Kedavra askes you to build a shrine in your hotel and they all get posessed with a statue. In order to get them back to their normal state, you have to burn this statue down
You forgot the Sims on mobile! Back in the day of flip phones, your sim was limited to a household size of 1, a tiny house, and super pixelated graphics. Like, doing "woohoo" was standing next to the opposite gender and dancing. Love My Sims Kingdom, though, don't know why that was a perfect game for the Wii but it was so, so fun! Just tended to lag once you actually constructed any large building.
Sims 4 console had supior controls over pc , till they changed them in January, since then their most back the way they were now again, with slight changes that aren't as good over all as before the first control change
i grew up with sims on the PS2 and the 360... i loved it alot, only later in 2013 i bought my first pc and played the pc sims, and it was also good, but i find the ps2 vibes greater
I always liked the GameCube version of Sims 1 back in the day because it was basically Sims 1.5, Sims 1 on PC was just 2D from four directions, it worked well enough but it wasn't 3D. Sims 1 on GameCube was a proper 3D game way before Sims 2 ever came out, and I loved that! Plus they added a story mode which was actually pretty fun. And SPLITSCREEN? Two player Sims is something you'd never dream of on PC, and here they did it, and with a DIAGONAL split?! They're insane! Actually just lots of good fun. I actually recently replayed the GameCube version of Sims 1 on my phone on vacation with an Xbox controller, and it honestly still holds up to me. I brought Mario Sunshine and Sims and somehow I only played Sims. I don't get it either.
I can’t believe you didn’t talk about urbz on the ds, or sims 2 on the ds, or sims 2 on the psp. Those are all insane and unique games and they didn’t get a mention lol
If you had never played sims on pc then the console controls didn't feel bad, I played console version before I got chance to play on pc so never really knew any different, but oh boy its hard to go back to a pad now lol
I actually also prefer the SNES version of sim city but my cart has a pin issue I guess so any minute movement will wipe your saves. I learned that the hard way in college when I bumped the desk my snes was on after putting like 30 hours into my city and ask my progress was lost. And now, roughly 5 years after I bought that cart, the battery has presumably died bc it doesn't save at all anymore. Time to emulate I guess lol
Wait, we GOTTA talk about how broken the sims 3 for wii was though. Start the game, make a sim, buy an empty plot of land. Place a fridge and a bed. Go to the store, buy 103 3 star catfish, go home and put them in the fridge and sleep. When you wake up, take the catfish back out of the fridge, go back to the store, sell them all back to the store for infinite money. If you buy the biggest plot of land in the game, and try to put the biggest pre built house on it, it either will flat out refuse, OR it will place it, then it will catch on fire constantly because there are too many furnishings on the lot and the game is mad at you. Loading is based on where your character is currently present, so if you walk onto a lot you have to load that individual lot, and if you leave the lot you have to load the overworld. This takes an insane amount of time.
I played the sims 3 on the wii as a kid and I remember spending HOURS playing it and enjoying it a lot until one day I argued with my brother and he ended up breaking the cd as revenge. I bought it again years later as an adult just to remember the fun time I spent playing it and I realized it’s a terrible game 😂 there’s not much to do and everyone in the city just dies so quickly. I started wondering how I spent so much time playing it as a kid. It was my only option to play the sims because I didn’t have a computer
*As a kid I loved the Sims games on GameCube. Now as a grown man I don't see the novelty in playing a life simulator. I haven't been much of a gamer in recent years but have looked at Sims 4 & I have to say EA are the most gouging the consumer games company on earth it legit costs around £700-$800 for the complete game with all DLC & crappy cosmetic add ons they jam into the game. My nephew asked if I would get him it I just said nope,*
I believe the switch is the perfect platform for PC games on console cause the games are fully optimized for controller and touchscreen unlike the Steam Deck.
They could have easily put the sims 1 with its expansions on ps2 i have a computer that was less powerful than a ps2 that did it. When sims 2 came out they could have probably just waited for the 360 and ps3 and released expansions through the new hard drives on consoles. Then sims 3 would probably be the hardest cause in 2009 it would be hard to put on console until the xbox one and ps4 I wish they would re realease sims 3 pc on xbox series s/x the tech was too far behind in 2009
Slightly disappointed he didn't mention The Sims 2 on DS. It's pretty much the same as Bustin Out on GBA, just in 3D and with a storyline about an alien invasion, yes, you read that right. I used to play that a ton as a kid, but then The Sims 3 came out on DS and it was more like the PC version, which really disappointed me at the time.
It's good to know that Scott is an advocate for dogs to not be dressed in funny suits.
Get em outta there!
Cats are perfectly fair game though it looks like
But he also purchased like 17 Ubisoft SpongeBob games over the years, so can we really trust his judgment?
Oh man, the "Or a third zoo" delivery kills me every time !
SimCity and F-ZERO were the two launch titles we bought along with my SMW-bundled SNES back in the day, I was such a huge SimCity nerd. SUCH NOSTALGIA. 😌👌
Holy sh*t, we don’t got just the Sims but the whole damn City too? We bout to have a night just as great as getting drunk after a divorce!
Sims 2 Castaway did have a PC counterpart actually, Sims Castaway Stories. Premise was the same in concept except it used the TS2 engine and even had a story mode.
“Death, Taxes, ….Ants”
- Scott the Woz (2022)
That sounds like a line from Dreamworks Antz
I love this video. Console sims was my life as a kid and the nostalgia was great watching this.
0:26...did you predict the future lol
I was about to say I heard that line and had to double take
I’ve got some history with The Sims 3 on Wii. Although if I go back to it, I’ll just complain of the frame rate
My favorite game series to do weird stuff on
The original Sims for PS2 was and still is one of my favorite games ever. So many good memories, and so fun. I also enjoyed Bustin Out and Urbz Sims in the City
When the 1st things said are,
“PC Games on Consoles:”
“Dogs in funny suits:”
*GET EM OUT OF THERE!!!!*
You know this oughta be good XD
The Sims has always been a really easy game to run on pretty low end laptops and computers (except The Sims 3), so if you really want to the a game like The Sims 4 than just buy a simple laptop and you can still get a pretty decent exerience.
A basic laptop is what I play Sims 4 on

This man knows comedy 😂😂😂😂
When I got The Sims 3 on the 3DS, I was surprised at how similar it was to the PC version. There were no expansion packs and you could only have one save file with Sim, but it still played a lot like the PC version especially when compared to The Sims 2 on the DS.
Original Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Red Alert 2 and Morrowind

"Special Edition: Free Black Eyed Peas music downlaod"
what a fucking time capsule, this might be the most 00's game in existence
You’re doing the great work that LGR used to do so well. Thank you!
Accurate
I remember I got Mysims on my ds once and I was so upset because I thought it was the regular sims. I still won’t forget that😂
trauma
The Sims Bustin Out was everything. Just for the story mode and it’s outrageous events. Even better in Free Play you get to have kids and everything. It was soooo much fun.
0:41 i thought he spoke in sims language XD
Sims 2 on console is what the games all shouldve been like on console. Give us free control and click control
Yep... i always loved ps2 controllers i dreamed to have this mode on TS3 and 4 =(
I love random console ports of PC games especially genres like simulation games or strategy. Hope you make more videos about this subject!
Bustin’ Out was fantastic!
4:37 😂😂😂
Sims 2 was the best for me especially because you can take full control walking around using ur controller instead of clicking on things to send your sim to and the story was 🔥
“Rub the mutt’s stomach a bit, thats a new sink right there”
Dogs with suits
Get 'em out of there!
honourable mention to sims 2 ds? the weirdest but coolest sims spin off, whole game is a fucking fever dream and is strange af but it was fun to play 💀 one of my fav childhood games
I loved bustin out on GameCube. It has couch coop. So fun
Urbz and Bustin Out were always my favourite as a kid- I mean who doesnt want to listen to the black eyed peas singing in simlish!
Just discovered that Scott has a bidet 10:27
I was shocked when Scott said 'The President's been shot', as that was the name of a short film I made for a school competition
It’s hilarious to me that’s Sims game was released on the N-Gauge of all things
I spent hours playing the multiplayer mode on sims 3 wii where you did a choose your own adventure story style game
my first experience with the sims was the gamecube release of the sims1, and i mainly played them on console bc my family didnt have a pc until i was in high school. i think that helped me enjoy both styles since when i did get to playt he pc games i could still aprpeciate the console ones for the fun they gave me as a kid
You know, with Scott The Woz and Scott's Stash getting clips, soon Scott's Snippets will get clips
So why cant we use keyboard and mouse on sims mobile?
crazy having scott talking about sims tho the console versions are pretty interesting so im glad he did :)
I really liked the Sims 2 on the DS and GBA. They have nothing in common with the PC Sims 2, but are standalone stories. In terms of gameplay it is more like a RPG. In the DS version you run a hotel, on the GBA you star in a movie.
On the PSP version the story is crazy and involves cults, cows and aliens
@@rysc12345 the DS and GBA have those, too. In the DS version you have a waterpistol which you can use against alien-invasions. Also you can tip over a cow, milk her and you get a milkshake you can use to restore your sanity while looking for mummified aliens in the desert 😆

Ok Urbz on the DS was wildly good. One of my most played games of all time.
9:19 Oh no, no, no, this wasn't supposed to happen!!
I played so much of the sims 3 for Xbox 360 growing up. I wish EA would make it backwards compatible on Xbox Series X
The direct control was by far the best feature on the early console and gameboy advanced/ds titles.
10:26 We're just doing things that make SENSE TODAY
You forgot the Sims on mobile! Back in the day of flip phones, your sim was limited to a household size of 1, a tiny house, and super pixelated graphics. Like, doing "woohoo" was standing next to the opposite gender and dancing.

9:23 is that Vinny Vinesauce
Sims 4 console had supior controls over pc , till they changed them in January, since then their most back the way they were now again, with slight changes that aren't as good over all as before the first control change
Sim City 2000 on Sega Saturn is a slappin banger. I love how it barely runs. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Omg i remember buying sims 3 on ps3 thinking it would be just like pc and got devistated but still loved it anyway
i grew up with sims on the PS2 and the 360... i loved it alot, only later in 2013 i bought my first pc and played the pc sims, and it was also good, but i find the ps2 vibes greater
The sims 2 on ps2 was my childhood I would always fill my house with the all the arcade cabinets
Get em out of there!
The Sims 2 Castaway is on pc as well ! ! 😀
Sims 3 on Wii was so broken after awhile each save everyone would just die off and leave graves everywhere..
Really liked the sims 3 wii but it always crashed my wii. The ds sim3 missed out on a lot of stuff. Not babies or anything.
I always liked the GameCube version of Sims 1 back in the day because it was basically Sims 1.5, Sims 1 on PC was just 2D from four directions, it worked well enough but it wasn't 3D. What about The Sims 2 DS? That's my 3rd or 4th favourite sims game
get ‘em
Out of
there!
Scott please upload videos again. It’s been a month
How are we gonna gloss over the sims 2 for psp. That is by far one of the best story games for psp!
What the.. did SimAnimal take the god hand from Black & White?!
Now that's a crossover I didn't expect.
why u didn't mention ports of Sim City 2000
I played a lot of MySims Racing on DS.
I can’t believe you didn’t talk about urbz on the ds, or sims 2 on the ds, or sims 2 on the psp.
Those are all insane and unique games and they didn’t get a mention lol
I love The Sims games they're one of my favorite game series
where can i get a beaver allen shirt
PETA approves of that Squirrel’s treatment.
If you had never played sims on pc then the console controls didn't feel bad, I played console version before I got chance to play on pc so never really knew any different, but oh boy its hard to go back to a pad now lol
No mention of sims 2 ds is a right shame, that game was epic
I actually also prefer the SNES version of sim city but my cart has a pin issue I guess so any minute movement will wipe your saves. But which version works best for emulation on your phone?
Sims 2 castaway is on PC, but maybe its Castaway Stories?
Simcity DS is just SimCity 3000 for handheld. SimCity creator on DS was fun tho
I played the heck out of all the Sims 2 game on PSP
ooo you wanna make the half life segment a scott’s snippet sooooooo bad ooooo
Get ‘em out of the number 2
Always preferred sims console versions. Sims 2 console games were the best 💯

Sims 3 on ps3 was kinda interesting. It didn't have the fully open world of the sims 3 pc.
For some reason sims just lagged and froze all the time on my ps4
Did you noticed the transition at 0:26?
oh, i didn’t notice that
In other words:
SimCity wasn't made for ya
Looks like Scott learned the error of his way just this once though
I'm a little disappointed that the Sims Online wasn't even mentioned.
I had the sims on original Xbox, it was actually good.
RiP we haven't got another Sim City game since 2013.

i do worry that these clips are gonna encourage scott to organize his videos in a format that's more easily cut up this way
I believe the switch is the perfect platform for PC games on console cause the games are fully optimized for controller and touchscreen unlike the Steam Deck.
Is this an official Scott channel?
Yes, it is an official channel made by Scott.
No it's a bootleg
what about THE SIMS MEDIEVAL. You are a king ruling a kingdom.
How does your whole review on a console port revolve around the controls.. haha
They could have easily put the sims 1 with its expansions on ps2 i have a computer that was less powerful than a ps2 that did it.
