I've ordered one of these for myself. I'll be on the lookout when assembling it to make sure all the screwed pieces are tight after seeing this. But overall, I'm very impressed with the kind of performance you got out of this bike. Thanks for the demo
I'd recommend contacting Heybike support to see if they can provide torque settings for the crankset bolt, as well as other bolts. That can not only lessen the chance of a bolt coming loose but also help avoid overtightening. You can set the PAS settings to 3, 5, 7 or 9 levels to offer a more discrete differences. You can also adjust the percentage of motor power for each PAS level (such as setting PAS 1 to use only 10% of motor power). I like seeing someone who is not a "bike expert" evaluate the bike. Sometimes the expert reviews concentrate on things that don't address some of the questions first time purchasers might have. Your results reflect the results of other range tests for this bike, which is actually better than most bikes of this type and price point. Replacing seat, brakes and pedals is generally the first upgrades on bikes in this price point.
I’ve had one for a year and put 589 miles on it. If you’re on the fence about it, I’m telling you this bike is a great purchase. Keep the chain clean & oiled and be sure to fully charge the battery before each use and you won’t have any issues.
Awesome! thanks for the honest review of the haybike 👍 Looking to get a scooter or bike, and right now I think I'm leaning more towards the "Apollo phantom V2"
You sure can tell how good a design the Lectric is. Everybody (including the Chinese) is copying it! I'll keep my original, thank you. Solid as a rock!
Nice demo of the heybike. About a week out on my XP2.0 showing up. I'm going to double check tightness on my bike before I ride after I saw your crank arm. That looks like a nice ride up there on that end of the Burke. I'm going to have to hit that up.😎
I really appreciate you doing this video. Few have gone as in depth as you have with respect to range. I am close to buying one but hesitant because claimed range by all the manufacturers is so inaccurate. No where that I ride is flat, so range is a real concern. It’s not very easy to pedal these heavy bikes uphill. My advantage is that I’m pretty small and only weigh 145 but the tires and the bike’s weight creates a lot of resistance. Their other Mars bike, the Hyper, comes with a 15Ah battery, at a cost, but far less than buying the battery separately. Do you think the spoke wheels are a liability? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
I just want to say that it’s funny you mentioned that it didn’t give you any warning, but at the same time said you only had one bar left on your battery😂😂
i'm thinking about buying this for my commute to and from work. its not super far. there are some hills 1 pretty big on the way back. but the rest are pretty average. do you think this bike would be good for that?
@@GingerOnWheels Yeah, the amount of bug splatter on my Exo R2000's faceshield is kind of gross. That said, it's much better than feeling bugs smack my face when I'm down there haha
Nice work! It is amazing how much further a bike will take you vs. a scooter for the same amount of battery capacity. With fat tire bikes you will typically see a pretty huge range drop off over 20 mph and if you are riding throttle only. You should get that bike out where you shot the Mantis Cinematic stuff, sand is really where fat tire bikes should be in my mind and they ride so great on sand!
Just got mine and love it!!! Confused about bike gearing. When in PAS 2, what gear should the bike be in? Or does it make any difference? Picked up a screw the first 1.7 miles, so not a lot of saddle time. Going again tomorrow. Liked and subbed your channel. You really have a nice place to ride
I got this bike and got it put together tonight but it's waaaayy too cold to get it out right now. I'm curious, when your battery died at the end of the video could you pedal back to your car/house/wherever you started from like the old fashioned way? Or is the bike too heavy for that even in gear 1?
I have been looking at the Lectric XP 2.0, Engwe ep-2 pro and this HeyBike MARS. My commute is on the same trail you rode this video. I Join the trail in Kenmore and get off in Bothell. There are not too many hills, but there is a hill after the trail to get up to my house. Have you ridden either of the other two bikes in my list? I am curious about hill climbing since I am 6-4 and 245.
Great video! Currently living in a situation where all my daily commutes around 2 miles. Walking is doable, but it gets old. I don't really have a need for a car at the point in time, so I'm looking for alternatives.
Pricing really isnt a factor, as this is going to be my main mode of transportation. Are there any electric scooters youd really reccomend? I also want something with the most range, if i want to take trips farther out. I'm thinking scooter over bike, as I have to hall it up a flight of stairs.
Hi there! Anybody can tell me if, when folded, this bike can be lifted and taken, say, into the subway or along a not too long flight of stairs, or whether it is literally impossible with that weight? Thanks!!
Great vid :) e-bike looking fun too. I just got myself an E-scooter and im looking forward to riding it. im just waiting on my slime to get here before i take it for a ride. How much slime do you recomend putting in the tires? (10 inch)
I have a very similar bike here in Australia and mine fits into the boot easily. I have a Holden commodore sedan. You have to play the angles a little and when I lift it I slide the wheels in first then the rest is easy.
It is such a bonus having my bike in the boot for any time that I want it. It lives there full time and if I’m out and about I can whip it out, go for a ride and then stick it back in easily.
Bro I don't see what I came here for nobody has commented this how long does the battery last how far can you go on this bike with that battery before it gives out?
You can use the stock charger plugged into an extension cord. Charge time equals charger output in amps / amp hour rating of the battery. + about 1 hour for cell balancing at the end of the charge cycle.
Nice video Ginger! Riding my Ninebot Es4 makes me wish I had more power and range. I definitely want an ebike someday as well! I'm thinking the Lectric XP 2.0 might be a good choice.
Im actually nuying this bike over letric bc its basically the exact same pats n all execot the hey bike COMES with a seat suspension. Letric u gotta buy separate.
Nice bike but very bad quality control that should not be coming loose like that I would call up the company seems like maybe a defect a brand new bike you shouldn't have to be doing that kind of stuff
How does the motor 'break'? Did you overheat it? Modify it? Over charge it? Motors usually don't just stop working, but if they do, this bike has a warranty and they'll send you a new motor with proof of the broken one.

Non-drive side crank working it’s way loose is common. Always a good idea to check that bolt on new bikes. Loctite is excellent as you mentioned 👍🏼
Mine was missing a part though. HeyBike was quick to reply and ship out the part, but it did take about 3 weeks to get.

hello i ordered a lectric xp 2.0 which bike would you consider better the heybike mars or the lectric xp 2.0
Amazing video! Glad the biker had the tool to help you. I wonder what you would have got if you felt confident the pedal wasn't going fall off on you.
So you got 38-39 miles on a full charge using PAS 2 for the first half of the trip, and max throttle speed only on the 2nd half of the trip?
I got this bike and got it put together tonight but it's waaaayy too cold to get it out right now. I'm curious, when your battery died at the end of the video could you pedal back to your car/house/wherever you started from like the old fashioned way? Yeah you can pedal it like a normal bike if it dies. Hard work though. Bike is heavy like you said.
You may need to adjust the brakes, and replace the pedals with stronger ones.

My wife can carry it up to our 3rd floor condo. She just folds the handle bar down and carries it up
Do you like this one more or the jasion eb7?
I've never used Relive app. What are the yellow markers for?
There is a marker for max elevation, max speed, and any time you stop and take a picture along the route.

This was just a range test 🤷♂️
How long does it take to charge? and can you charge with a regular extension cord?

About 6 hours if almost completely dead.
What’s the top speed of this bike ? And is there a way to make it a little faster r?
By pedaling and pressing throttle you go faster 😂😂
I hit 29 mph pedaling a little and small down hill area.
