Considering both bikes, I tend to like the vertical battery as a natural place to put a big heavy object under the seat. That config givess lot of power in the smallest package. Wish Hey bike had 14-16 inch tires, not for speed but to put in cars or luggage. Portola is 51 lbs for 28mph which is my leading choice atm.
Great review guys, I can tell you were honest thank you for that. I own both bikes for almost 2 years now and I agree with your conclusion, but I will say this I am expecting my 2nd Lectric bike today woo whoo. I wanted to buy another Lectic because I had to replace the for lack of knowledge I will call it the mother board, error code E107 I think. It is the component that plugs into the battery probably the most expensive part. Lectric gave it to me for free and I am 7 months out of warranty. They also gave me a free again lack of knowledge a new dash board because I cracked mine a year ago. So as far as service is concerned there is no comparison. I use Lectric as my golf cart because it is about 10 pounds lighter, which for me at almost 69 and no more guns easier to lift into my suv. I ride every evening after supper 12 miles mainly on the Heybike Ranger but now that is has I think 3500 miles so I'm switching and am riding the Lectric now. I call the Heybike the beast because it just is more stout. They both are good bikes for the price, but I like Lectric because they have a local dealer and as I said their service is awesome. I really haven't had to use Heybike's service so not sure about that, but I like the ride of the Heybike. My original Lectric bike would still work if I put the mother board and got rid of the e107 code and all would be fine, but instead now I have some spare parts and I will scrape the original one. I do have a bike shop that will work on both if needed, but luckily I have had no issues. Oh also Lectric gave us all free hydraulic break upgrade several months ago, I don't know how they do what they do but that have awesome customer service. Although I will probably upgrade the Ranger to the Mars at the Christmas sale, lol Happy trails...
Hey bike makes some good bikes but if I had to choose it would be lectric for 2 reason #1 hydraulic brakes #2. Great customer service and the quality of the product I own the expedition and it's become my favorite of all my e-bikes it does it all and then some , awesome vlog as always u and your brother are a hoot , keep up the good work
the Jasion X-Hunter is another 1000$ folding ebike with pretty much identical specs but it looks like it has a nicer suspension. I'm split between that and the mars 2.0
@@ElectricRevolution you guys are awesome! We need more guys like you! How’s the battery life and the durability on both bikes at this point. Did you change any parts yet? Thanks in advance!
you can see one of the bikes has lower pressure in the tires when they do the side by side acceleration test... I wonder how much that effects results. I'm watching this because i am buying one of these two bikes on black Friday and trying to get the best bike for my money. So far after watching several reviews and looking at the 2 bikes in person at Best Buy, I'm thinking the Heybike is the right choice. So i do agree with the video. However I literally know next to nothing about ebikes so don't take my word for it watch the video.
man its a tough choice between these 2, I already have the lectric and it does have suspension on the seat tho the one in this video doesnt seem to have it.. also lectric is offering 2 batteries right now, tho the heybike is more easy to take the battery out or so it seems and buying a spare one is cheaper.. heybike does have hydralyc breaks if you chose the 1000w version of this
Silly question Can a woman drive fat tires e-bikes? I’m sorry I’m just new to this stuff and want to buy wife an e-bike , she never drove a fat tires before and I’m wondering how difficult that can be to her Tia

Love to see a comparison using the Jasion EB7 2.0 foldable, under it's also 1K, ie $750. Front fork and rear frame suspension.
I'll see what I can do

It's hard to beat their customer service, they've got that dialed in. Thanks for watching, it's always good to hang with the fam
Nice try lectric customer service.
Mars has hydrolic brakes now

@@ElectricRevolution whats the real weight on the heybike mars 2? website says 75lb tho it looks lighter
Sorry but you are wrong about the motors in Letric bikes. They contain Sutto motors which is a sub-brand of the Bafang motor.
Is that a Lectric bike 2.0 or 3.0 version? Thanks
That's the 3.0

would the heybike be a good choice as a first timer in a e bike?
Yeah, lot's of power, good range, all the things you want in an ebike with an affordable price
Did the app get a firmware update because I heard it was having issues as of a review from two months ago whereas this video is a month ago
I would assume so but don't have the bike anymore, so I'd reach out to Heybike to confirm the issues have been resolved
Just got the Mars 2.0. App works fine no problems
What he was saying was almost broke my gooch 😂
Did you unlock the lectric xp 3.0
I don't think he did
Great idea with the two of you. What about riding without power assist (can happen at times)?
Thanks! That's a great idea! I'll add it to the next comp vid

Good to know! Thanks for the comment
Letric ain’t bad but juice bikes are better than probably both.

Tia
Absolutely, if she can ride a normal bike, she can easily ride a fat bike, they have better balance because there's more tire hitting the road
