I just installed this unit for making 0 tds reef tank water. The unit is great and installed with no issues. With the float valve I am now a happy camper. Is there any issue drinking 0 tds water? Hate to have all that equipment just for the fish.
I already had the 6 stage filter and got the filter for the reef tank, it is very easy to install but I find out that the water pressure slow down in both sides it's there anything else to install for the water pressure? Before I didnt have any problem with the pressure in my drinkable water. I did everything from the video. Thanks.
Why the manufacture makes the waste water line goes through the faucet? It often causes back flow. In stead just bypass the line and hook it up directly to the drain. You agree with me? :) Great video by the way! Regards!
This is exactly what I was looking for. But I have a quick question. I have a 5 stage 180gpd RODI system with a booster and a permeate pump. I will be setting it up the way you guys are indicating, however I want to be able to add a float valve on this with an auto shutoff. Is this possible? Would the auto shutoff be put in the regular spot? Does the check valve in this setup, stop the high pressure valve for the booster from working properly when filling up the pressure tank since water cannot flow pass the check valve to create the pressure? I hope I made sense. :)
Great video guys! Is there a way to install it without it having to be a permanent installation or having to drill into the main water line? I am trying to install one where I rent, but before I purchase it I need to know that I can remove it and leave the house intact. My idea is to fill a bucket with Drinkable Water, and another bucket with Tank Water each week, but the only faucet I can use is used for other purposes as well, so it needs to be placed only when needed. Thank you.
@Rapter630 I found the same thing. My waste water keeps flowing when the tank is full. I watched the installation instructions for the auto shutoff valve and it seems to be specific to the float valve. But I too thought it would have to work with the pressurized tank. Not so.
i just installed my rodi drinking water system. this video made it very easy to install the only thing is the faucet has like a loudish air swoosh sojnd and has a slight leak i double checked everything and it seems that maybe the faucet is damaged. i inspected the faucet and it seems like the sound is coming from the internal.
Why not just let it go through the resin? I am actually just looking for something to make good water for my African cichlid tank as my tap is 30 ppm in nitrate :( , I guess if it makes water for me to drink thats good to, so should i just go RO and skip the DI for my fish and me to drink? Just curious if i gave my African cichlids RO DI water would it kill/hurt them??? thanks a lot
I own a Premier RO system. Is there a way i could buy a BulkReefSupply DI system (only the DI system) and just attache the DI system to my Premier RO. Or would i have to buy a hole new RO system?
For some reason I’m not getting water into the tank. The valve is open and I made sure water is getting to the T. The faucet has water coming out if it but it is only a small amount like the amount in the system. Any ideas?
It sounds like you need to let the RO system run longer. The tank is shipped dry, so it can take an hour or two to fill, depending on your water pressure. If you're still having issues, give our customer service team a call and we can help troubleshoot further.
once im done drinking water am i suppose to turn off the valve from the pressure tank because i still hear water coming through the black hose down to the waiste drain (waiste water line). once i shut off the valve the water stops. i connected a shut off valve to whenever i need water ill open it and close it so that i dont waiste water otherwise wqter wont stop coming through.
BulkReefSupplyCom yeah was interested in doing a drinking water supply and a reeftank water supply. Make the wife happy with healthy filtered water and me rodi water for reef 👌🏻😊
Bought a new aqua medic 3 stage easyline 150 ro system. cleans just 88% of the TDS. output is 30!! input is 230. preassure is not to low abour 4 bar. is the membrane faulty? i added a di unit to get down to 5 tds but that to muh imo.
***** it a german brand. germans dont do bad quality from my experience. and the membrane is american. i used to have such one before and it was great.
ahh i am disappointed he didint mention how the water flows through each filter .. i am looking for instructions of what order the filters go in and the water path flow...
Just spent the most uncomfortable 2 hours under my kitchen sink setting one of these up. No it had nothing to do with your system but the people who plumbed my sink... Gods Below I want to find them and beat them with the biggest monkey wrench that I have. Anyway I'm done setting up this system and I'm letting it run before hooking it up to my reservoir. P.S. the system was easy to connect, my only complaint is that I'm hooking metal nut to plastic threads and that's not something that I'm too keen on, it is too easy to crossthread plastic.
Thank you, this video is just what I needed to get everything right.
I love how y'all explain things. Y'all should really have a TV show
Fantastic video guys! Well done and thanks for all of the information.
Great explanation ! Now . My question is . Can I get second pressure reservoir tank to keep water for my Tank and how can I connect it .

Should I install the ball/shutoff valve before the DI (so the canister is not always under pressure) or after the DI so the (DI stays wet)?
It is true not to drink water coming out of the DI? only throught the RO? Can I do a tee fitting between the DI and the RO for drinking water?

What do you do with the other 1/4 inch drainage line next to the 3/8 one coming from the faucet?

Awesome demonstration
Thank you so much, great video!
the faucet i bought from you guys didn't include the waste water pipes??
nice camera work guys

and do you have a video that explains how to change and flush out the unit so we could start to use the drinking water
How would u install the brs drinking kit to a 4 stage rodi unit with only one water outlet.?
i just installed my rodi drinking water system. this video made it very easy to install the only thing is the faucet has like a loudish air swoosh sojnd and has a slight leak i double checked everything and it seems that maybe the faucet is damaged. i inspected the faucet and it seems like the sound is coming from the internal.
Send me the link to the version that lacks air gap
+BulkReefSupplyCom what can i do tofod this air gap maybe i did aomething worng but what can i do to fix
Does the "BRS 4 Stage Value Water Saver Plus RO/DI System - 150GPD" produce potable water?

Would really love a updated video about this and some experience story's

just tried it, 92%.

nice but why are you installing it in the bathroom tho
These units can be installed in a number of locations. For some this may be the best spot available.
@@BRStv well i guess thats their choice but i wouldnt want to get a drink of water after someone has finished a number 2

will be nice if you and to the system a booster pump.

Waaaayyy to complicated. What's this for? Drinking from a pond? This is something akin to what restaurants [should] use, not households.
I don't care about drinking water. This is a reef supply channel.
