As someone who currently really wants a Navi I’m still pretty shocked to see a trade like this. But sometimes even a better bike just doesn’t feel “right” and something that should be worse ends up being more fun! It’s all personal preference. Here’s hoping I’ll be riding one soon
I added the weight to the clutch and it made a noticeable difference in pick up I’m 215 pounds and tucked in I can do 50 but I can ride at 45 pretty comfortably. Making a trail set up would be freaking awesome trying to find tires for it as I speak
Nice Navi. They look like a ton of fun. Back in 2018 I got my wife a Vittachi Rocket 150. It's a grom clone based on the SSR Razkull 125 frame with a Gy6 150 in it. She loves it still. I've done a ton of work to it 171 kit a Suzuki gn125/250 2.5 gal tank yss Grom shock new fork springs and cartridge emulators cvt work and mobbers. She loves her mini scram. Enjoy y'all's new bike. If it's anything like my wife's bike it will be surprisingly good off road.
Just be careful on the navi, the front forks are prone to bending and parts are like 4 months back ordered. Also the rear brake activates both front and rear. I deleted that feature lol. I daily my navi to work everyday and keep the crf300 for the longer hauls.
Since it's more like a scooter than a motorcycle, I'd love to see you do a segment/review a ADV 150. Curious what your opinions/thoughts on that scooter would be.
That Navi looks pretty good. I would remove that silly tape from the headlight though. Unless you have plans to track that Navi (which would make for a funny video in itself) the tape serves absolutely no function nor, in my opinion does it look good or cool.
On racetracks, people did it so it would scatter less and not hurt other vehicles when things were made of GLASS, people usually do the tape thing for looks now though.
@@DemonIsland that’s what I meant when I said “unless you have plans to track that Navi…” That’s ‘track’ as in racetrack. This is also what I meant in using the word “function”
@@joujimiichi1 I'm just detailing so others have an idea of why it exists in the first place. I'm aware of what the words mean, I ride my self, even rode cross country.
I wish honda offered a navi model with like a maxi scooter powertrain so it could go at least 60 with a heavier rider. where I live the only way to get around is a freeway that's speed limit is 55mph and I'm too heavy 250lb+ to hit 55 on a navi.
The MSRP is around $1800 but from what I've heard from people looking at them the out the door price is double that after all the extra dealer fees they are charging now.
Yeah the biggest barrier to Honda selling these things is the dealers. Why can't I just go to honda's website and order one for delivery? The thing that chased me off from buying a pair of them and switching to groms instead was a couple guys that worked there that owned and sold their navis, because the fuel range was a LOT shorter than advertised. I wish the Navi was EFI, it sure would fix the fuel range issue.
I just got my grass hopper NAVi yesterday. I agree that ranger green is really great color, but thought that grass hopper green is safer in night. It's more pop and cute in my taste.
For 3 years, I prodded my local dealership to sell me the last Honda PS250 Big Ruckus scooter that they had on the showroom floor. It was a 2006 build, I believe the last production year for that model. It sat there with the MSRP tag of around $5600 & the owner wouldn't budge. During that gas crisis, he thought some Yuppie with a BMW would pick it up & leave his car home. Finally, in 2009 I got him to sell it to me for Cost, about $4500. I had 5 motorcycles in the stable & I have to admit, it was so much fun & unique looking with the popup rear pillion seat becoming a backrest for the driver & a molded luggage rack under it, that I installed a Saddlemen XL canted sissybar bag on which made it look kind of a '60's Woody station wagon, that I had guys at red lights rolling their windows down & asking me specs. I would say, "70 mph & 70 mpg, just not at the same time" lol. It was the only & last scooter that I've ever owned, but it had me giggling inside my helmet every time that I rode it!!!
I have that same Harbor Freight case on my Grom's Vagabond rack. It fits 2 cans of 24 oz Arizona Tea perfectly. Or 24 oz of Mike's Hard Lemonade. MSRP is way too high. $1807? It should be $1805. Now that will make it a best seller.
I've bin going back and forth in my head over getting a Navi. I'm a escooter person and think it would be a nice change with a level of familiarity. Not sure how it would hold up against a Southern NY winter but it has to be better then how my nanrobot or my dualtron hold up in the cold weather.
Look into getting something fuel injected if you will be riding a bunch when it gets cold and don't plan to do too much to the intake and exhaust. If you feel like tinkering and messing with the intake and exhaust for power a carb is easier to tune without any special tools, although RollingWrench makes fuel injection tuning tools for scooters and bikes now.
I have a Navi for around town trips, and it is great for that, but trading the 110 for it is not a great choice IMO. Top speed is more like 50 if on flat ground, up any small grade its 45. (stock)
Have you test rode the bintelli beast 150 yet? I first started looking at that but then i started looking at the Navi. There are things I wish the Navi had that the Bintelli has, but I also wish that the bintelli had that storage. I’ve never heard of Bintelli but as I keep researching, it seems like it has more issues than the Navi. I trust Honda but am wondering what kind of aftermarket stuff the Navi could be outfitted with
I bought a cheap cone filter, mnnthbx jet kit from swapshop, and a 15$ piece of coolant pipe for my intake. $80. Youbdont need the 130$ kit from mnnthbx
I just bought a 2022 Navi. I wanted a green one but they only had magenta and orange so I went with the orange one. I am happy with it so far but I want to put nobbies on it because I live in Panama now and there are a lot of dirt roads. I saw a video of a guy who tried to put in Hobbies on his and he ended up having to completely dismantle and cut apart the back fender. And looked like a pain in the ass. Were you able to get Nabis on yours without a hassle?
Great review man! Thinking about a first bike at some point in my future and it's between this in the nut brown colorway, and the Amstar Nostalgia 50 in matte black. I much prefer the look of the Amstar, but it is made in China and doesn't quite have the reliability of Honda. Decisions!
Let's fix some of your miss information. 60mph, not going to happen, more like 50 on a good day. If buying new, you will not able to get it for less than 2000, more like 2500-3000 depending on the dealer. I just sold mine, the biggest gripe which you did not even mention for me was that it is carburated. I tried to make it a bit more off-road worthy but the aftermarket and tire support is just not there, but since you change bikes like clothes, not a big deal ... lol Overall it is a decent bike but as you said, Honda is cheaping out lately on basic stuff.
@@just.my.2cents yes and no, carb I did know but did not expect to have problems early on, tires were told by the sales guy to be easily swappable, not the case.

I bought one Yesterday in Canada brand new 2022 red on clearout. Paid $2,735 CAD ($2,068 usd) out the door. Price was $1,799 CAD ($1,355 usd) plus fees and taxes.
He spent more money on the seat and grips instead of a jet kit, and cone filter. I spent 80$ total on all that. Take the corks out. >IT DOES NOT DO 60....< 48 tops until intake and jets and youll only go 53 >tops
i have one and my main complaint is the gas mileage u can only go about 55 miles before u have to refill or ur walking about 65 miles total also needs high test so the extra money in the long run u could have a grom or any other mini. i have little over 3k miles when it hits 5 im trading it on another scooter. honestly dont buy this little turd
It absolutely did, second time it’s happened to me actually. Back in HS we flew out to CO to snowboard and I damn near lost it. A bit claustrophobic I guess
Honda says $1807. True cost out the door is always $2200-$2800, depending on dealer. Honda says 110MPG, yet real world shows ~75MPG, with some getting as bad as 45MPG at top speed with some headwind. Heck, my 21 year old 250cc Honda Reflex gets 65-70MPG. So NAVI's level of performance and efficiency is quite bad... Let's see how the long term reliability shapes up. He already had, or still has (?) a Monkey
A Monkey is a lot better bike.
Monkey is the best. I sold my 2021 monkey for $4000 and now they are much more. My local dealer has a few navis though that’s why I’m here.
I traded it for a pair of Nikes
Good to see a review on the navi but the Ct was a keeper.
