I started to appreciate WANG HAO more nowadays. He perfected RPB...and is without a doubt the player with the best RPB in the world. His RPB has caused nightmares to all the Handshake players and more often than not, his RPB proved to be even more lethal than the Handshake players' backhand stroke. He also has a strong and quick analytical mind during the match ...and knows what to do next against the opponent.
Wang hao was fantastic with his footwork and recovery. Very compact in his shot making. Almost always seemed to be in position without too much effort.
I fucking hate the umpire but Ma long is such a good sportsman being honest with the let. I love it hoow Ma didn't look the umpire in the face when they shook hands!
@DaniloDividina Yeah, but the meta-implication is that you cannot let your mental game crumble if something unexpected happens. I fully support umpires "meddling" like this. If the players can't handle it, then they're playing the wrong sport.
You know what? Way to go Ma Long. I really appreciate moments like that, such as Wang Liqin in the 2007 Japan Open against Wang Hao. They really show that being honest in a match is a good thing. :) I applaud Ma Long and I can definitely understand his frustration at the referee.
yeah this ump was a fucker... however this is an awesome video. for the first time I find myself rooting for Wang Hao..seems like he's been eating the humble pie recently. Way to go wang hao!!
@DaniloDividina the point where ma long lost a point because he didn't toss the ball was total BS because in the rules it stats you get one warning before you start to lose points for no toss serves. clearly he did toss it, it might not have been a high toss but still was a toss and usually there isn't old refs that can't see lets and they normally don't call out no toss serves because its the world champions not just regular people playing in a tournament...
This umpire has applied the service rule quickly & correctly, in one of the most important matches on the planet that year, in order to avoid one or other player taking advantage (outside the law, ie cheating), deliberately or accidentally, so that the match can be decided by skill on the day. Thank any god you like for that, no matter who is your favourite player.
Ma u deserve to win every TT honor out there .... which you would surely, just stick to the game.. you are such an inspiration to the entire TT community worldwide
Wang Hao was Ma Long’s natural enemy.

Umpire brought Ma Long out of his concentration.
Stijn TTCM agree
Stijn TTCM Umpire made the right call. It’s obvious that Ma Long threw the ball not high enough.

his win/loss record against Ma Long is almost equal..
yes, and at least the one in 2010...their matches were both strategic and lots of rally...love their games
