All those mappacks for matchmaking gone and i have to reinstall them again, sadly enough you cant online matchmaking anymore because of the update and i force to disconnected my internet if i have to play the old one, and painfully download the custom maps again. I remember seeing this cinematic as a kid and re-watching it every time I missed the >real< Warcraft, which, for me, definitely is and will always be Warcraft III, both Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne. Thank you, Blizzard!
I was quite disappointed to see that the reforged cinematic didn't zoom out far enough to reveal the human knight's arm had been severed. It wasn't just a "haha wow gore" moment, it was dangling a little hope that the infernal just knocked them out, only to reveal that not only were they definitely dead, the infernal had utterly brutalised them, and so swiftly the muscles were still spasming. It was a great way to set up just how deadly and vicious the burning legion was.
God, I remember watching the original version of this trailer on a dial-up internet connection when I was like 11 years old, then I waited three years for the game to finally come out. It was worth the wait. I'm SUPER excited about this one.
I really wish they hadn't redone ANY cinematics. It's a waste of a limited budget. The original game had a far higher budget than they could possibly have put into the re-make. Therefore, they should focus resources on the parts that weren't already good, like the God-awful in-game models. The original cinematics were damn fine.
@Tomik 05 Blizzard doesn't act as one entrepreneurship, with one head determining how much to spend out of one corporate wallet. Much to the contrary, spending has to be justified in front of a council. Whether or not the corporate assets are high enough isn't the point. If a project isn't living up to its budget, it can get cancelled.
The best game of all time, getting remake it deserves, HELL YEAH! I just hope this means there might be hope for Warcraft IV to happen one day! All Warcraft RTS fans, show support for this remake, so that we might actually see that happening in the future! Anyhow I really hope some ppl will re-create some of my favorite custom games like Darwin's Island and Uther's Party!
When thinking of Warcraft 4 you have to think about how it ties with WoW. The story would have to be set long after anything in WoW or long before WoW.

Make sure to get your refund if you feel you were ripped off. This relaunch is a monumental flop. Falsely marketed buggy and people are getting banned from the forms for telling people how to get their refunds. The worst part is the old game is GONE this one replaced it

Good news. Having spent months playing Warcraft 3 & the Frozen Throne, I can say without doubt that W3 was the enjoyable RTS I have ever played, and here I include Starcraft 2 and Age of Empires 1, 2 and 3. Unlike AOE DE, I think a remastering of W3 would work better since the mechanics of W3 are already reasonably good. While I would have preferred Warcraft 4, I think it would have been very difficult for Warcraft 4 to rise to the level set by Warcraft 3. That said, it would be nice if this remastering paves the way for more expansions.

This is going to take the Gaming world by storm and I hope that Blizzard takes this engine and reforges Warcraft 1 Orcs and Human, Warcraft 2 The tides of darkness and Warcraft 2 Beyond the Dark Portal. Those games were huge and if reforged would reach an audience that never got to see them.
I don't think warcraft 1 and 2 can be remastered. They can improve graphics, but the games themselves have nothing to offer that is up to standards. Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 1 are games that are still playable as modern games, they just needed new graphics.

Ahh reign of chaos , I remembered playing it's story campaign from orc to nightelves , from exodus of the horde to twilight of the gods , the memories brings back and in much great detail in this intro cinematics .
Blizzard or anyone has a platform or connections with Blizzard that may read this. I’m just as excited as the next guy for this games release. This in my opinion is one of the best decisions blizzard has done. I love Warcraft III. One of my favorite games of all time and has my most favorite character of all time, Arthas Menenthil. I know the release date is supposedly December 31st of this year however. I’ve seen gameplay, pictures and side by side comparisons and it looks great! But it still needs polish. Animations. Lighting. Color textures. I know fans are impatient but I would rather the game be pushed back to be worked on more and then be released.
I got the Warcraft 3 Battlechest for my birthday one year and things were never quite the same since. Really excited for people that maybe jumped in during WoW to experience the fall of Arthas the way we did.

You’ll have the option to switch between old audio and new audio. But they are re-recording a lot of the hero voices with actors from WoW.

I really wish they hadn't redone ANY cinematics. It's a waste of a limited budget. The original game had a far higher budget than they could possibly have put into the re-make. Therefore, they should focus resources on the parts that weren't already good, like the God-awful in-game models. The original cinematics were damn fine.
@Tomik 05 Blizzard doesn't act as one entrepreneurship, with one head determining how much to spend out of one corporate wallet. Much to the contrary, spending has to be justified in front of a council. Whether or not the corporate assets are high enough isn't the point. If a project isn't living up to its budget, it can get cancelled.

When thinking of Warcraft 4 you have to think about how it ties with WoW. The story would have to be set long after anything in WoW or long before WoW.

If you ask me, the ONLY possible and sensible thing for Blizzard is to let Warcraft IV either retell story of WoW in much more detailed and better way or rewrite it entirely of as seperate timeline....but one way or another Warcraft IV would HAVE to continue the story from WC3:TFT....ANYTHING else would be like big fat "fuck you " from Blizzard to all those of us who have waited WC IV all these years but havent had time or will to play WoW and everyone of its damned expanisons or experience its lackluster storytelling
So if you ask me I woud rather not see Warcraft IV at all than see Warcraft IV that doesnt pick up and continue where WC3:TFT ended

Great to here that there are some new fans out there that would open their hearts for Warcraft on RTS format :). Unfortunately I know many WoW fans that I follow who are not giving flying **** about this and likely would never play Warcraft in RTS form...not even when they know that Its mainly thanks to this game that their beloved MMO Even exist in the first place...

This relaunch is a monumental flop. Falsely marketed buggy and people are getting banned from the forms for telling people how to get their refunds. The worst part is the old game is GONE this one replaced it

One of the best games I have ever played is finally gettting the treatment I wanted... ok sorry for being emotional but this game had such a huge meaning on my young little self. I didn't speal good english when i played this game the first time. But I still could follow the amazing story... that tells you about the quality of the story telling.

Good news. Having spent months playing Warcraft 3 & the Frozen Throne, I can say without doubt that W3 was the enjoyable RTS I have ever played, and here I include Starcraft 2 and Age of Empires 1, 2 and 3. Unlike AOE DE, I think a remastering of W3 would work better since the mechanics of W3 are already reasonably good. While I would have preferred Warcraft 4, I think it would have been very difficult for Warcraft 4 to rise to the level set by Warcraft 3. That said, it would be nice if this remastering paves the way for more expansions.

This is the look and feel that I've wanted to see out of World of Warcraft since the beginning, but never got it. Darker, atmospheric, mysterious, with no kiddish Disney/Hollywood exposition.... At least they maintained it for the remaster of WC3.

This is going to take the Gaming world by storm and I hope that Blizzard takes this engine and reforges Warcraft 1 Orcs and Human, Warcraft 2 The tides of darkness and Warcraft 2 Beyond the Dark Portal. Those games were huge and if reforged would reach an audience that never got to see them.
I don't think warcraft 1 and 2 can be remastered. They can improve graphics, but the games themselves have nothing to offer that is up to standards. Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 1 are games that are still playable as modern games, they just needed new graphics.

Blizzard or anyone has a platform or connections with Blizzard that may read this. I’m just as excited as the next guy for this games release. This in my opinion is one of the best decisions blizzard has done. I love Warcraft III. One of my favorite games of all time and has my most favorite character of all time, Arthas Menenthil. I know the release date is supposedly December 31st of this year however. I’ve seen gameplay, pictures and side by side comparisons and it looks great! But it still needs polish. Animations. Lighting. Color textures. I know fans are impatient but I would rather the game be pushed back to be worked on more and then be released.

I got the Warcraft 3 Battlechest for my birthday one year and things were never quite the same since. Really excited for people that maybe jumped in during WoW to experience the fall of Arthas the way we did.
