Something I noticed was setting graphics to Classic seems to really now be classic. For example in the RoC Campaigns the damage types are set to how they were in RoC whereas in Reforged mode they're as they are in TFT... It's an odd but interesting thing to note.
I feel like the scale/size of the Moonwells with the Classic HD graphics are a bit off. For example, look closely at the size of the Moonwells versus the DH and Thrall around 4:15 to 4:30, and then look at around 16:00. The Classic HD Moonwells feel like a bit bigger compared to the heroes than normal. At first I thought it was just that 4:15 to 4:30 is more zoomed in, but looking again it feels like the Classic HD Moonwells are literally larger than the FS/DH, while the Classic SD Moonwells are about the same size as the FS/DH.
I like more the details they've added apart of the graphics, this is very important and shows that they care about gameplay. Since it's easy to get the budget to reimagine graphics, but to make gameplay better in 20 years old game is a much harder task to do
It seems that only the player that selected a skin will see it. So you will always face a default skinned enemy. That's why in the replay from the elf perspective yoy dind't had any skin while he has. And the opposite during the real gameplay.
Looks like it only applies the skins to you own stuff so the Illidan fire trail won't be an issue. That's kinda nice I guess even tho the skins showing would be cooler.
I'm sorry but this still only fixes like barely half of the major problems with this remaster. The skins are cool and all, but the fully remade Reforged graphics and models really should just look better and be aligned with the original art style. The terrain is especially bad, though that might be because Grubby has foliage turned off. The models could have so much more detail now than they did 20 years ago. The quality of the Dead Space and Resident Evil remasters, Starcraft 1 Remaster and Diablo 2 Resurrected are what every remaster should be aiming for. Make it look how we remember it looking, not how it actually looks nor something completely different with inconsistent art style. The campaign is still not at all as advertised. The W2 music is a neat addition though.
The Reforged graphics sucks because the art team outsourced by Blizzard only knew how to make cool models for general stuffs, not models for an RTS. Doing models for RTS is much different than for a cinematic or other games, because the silhouettes have to be readable from a topdown view. If curious BTW I am gonna suggest their to be an opt out feature for going against people using said options as I don't ever want their to be like a reforged but with how the game plays situation going on. But like I want to suggest Autoqueing units as an option for players who have a build in mind, but are not able to implement it as efficiently due to issues regarding either memory or co-ordination disabilities. Increased size in max control groups as if your army is say Rifles and paladin needing two control groups to move one army to one location can once again co-ordination wise be more difficult and not necessary. Putting all workers on gold mines automatically. (Although TBH I think this should be universal, this is done in StarCraft 2 automatically as keeping all workers idle is kinda pointless and you can always move workers from gold to build things right away) (Also objectively is too advantageous so would need to be universal even for those who opt out both on accessibility controls or going against those against accessibility controls) I kinda was thinking these on account of my own disability but also considered people with issues like Arthritis where clicking a lot of times may be too strenuous hence auto queuing and larger control groups making it easier for those players to enjoy games more whilst worrying about memory/painless. But of course, making it like a toggle you have like with reforged classic HD so players who don't want to play like that or go against people with those options feel like they have to lose out on their experience. For the autoqueing feature I was going to refer to the first Dawn of War game and it's expansions as an example of how it's done along with increased control groups with starcraft 2, but feel like it should still be balanced against those who would want to stick to the classic controls vs assisted controls if they wanted to have a game like that. (Imagining high MMR players seeking a challenge or average wanting to go against a friend in a non-ladder situation) Like may not be implimented at all but do kind of want devs to consider accesability options as I want more people to want to play the game along with having disabled players who played the campaign and enjoyed it and older players who may have lost their touch but where good at the game to have fun in melee and have the option whilst keeping people who prefer not to interact with players with those options to not be hindered in anyway as well.
How do they handle named heroes facing another copy of the same named hero? Is it just 3 thralls on the battlefrields? And 4 Arthas if its 2 humans vs 2 undeads?
Do you think unit skins become a thing? Instead of Footmen and Peasants you can have Swordsman and (Bloodelf) Workers. Chaos Orcs as free skins for finishing the RoC Orc campaign and the TfT Bloodelf campaign (without cheats) would be a nice treat too. It will need some tinkering for them to work properly but I am sure people are ready to pay for new skins that will be available in the Editor. Something like this would make it worth replaying after they are done with QoL optimizations and start to make new content like updating outdated campaign missions (like promised) without replacing them completely. I think about bad map design decisions like the ogres and shaman gnoll behind trees in the second Human mission (can we also change Humans to Alliance and Orcs to Hord?)
I would ask though, do you WANT to have the enemy race available openly if you’re playing random? Seems some of the skill expression is proper scouting timings to find that out and adapt, no?
I don't know what it currently does, but I think it's better if it doesn't tell you what a random opponent is if they wanted to make it so it was similar to the original game, then it says human when a player selected human, orc whne a player selected orc, but when a player selected random, it should say random, not what race they are
i tink its bad to already encounter 3 faults after 1 time playin te new patc. wen i make a custom ame vs ai, i could add computer enemy muc faster before. now i need to move my mouse to et to te next field were i add te ai. and if worker is sowin idle, i click te icon bottom left, it usually switcted camera to te worker. now i need to click te icon and ten its portrait to et to te worker. and y and z were still switced for my key layout, ad to manually cane tat aain.
This looks amazing! Oh, and will you also play mods again in the future like you did before? There is a mod that came out two days ago that is already updated for the latest patch, which is the High Elf Remnant by Wa666r :) I can't link it here, because youtube, but one quick search will show the mod. It's pretty amazing honestly, and his best player race mod so far! It lets you play as the High Elves in a sort of mixed Alliance/Sentinels way that is pretty fun to play with!

Like may not be implimented at all but do kind of want devs to consider accesability options as I want more people to want to play the game along with having disabled players who played the campaign and enjoyed it and older players who may have lost their touch but where good at the game to have fun in melee and have the option whilst keeping people who prefer not to interact with players with those options to not be hindered in anyway as well.
Ah yes. The first gameplay of Thrall and Mogul Kha... I mean the corrupted Grommash Hellscream. XD
Illidan's footprints don't show up if he's not visible on the map
wtf I thought Grubby gave up on WC3 games and only played custom games now. Praise the lord, he's back!
at last V-sync on wc3, now the smoothness will be awesome for every monitor and pc in general
How do they handle named heroes facing another copy of the same named hero? Is it just 3 thralls on the battlefrields? And 4 Arthas if its 2 humans vs 2 undeads?
did they make customizable hotkeys within the game and not some program i have to download?
Am I the only one NOT seeing the upscaled classic building and units graphics? Like from the screenshots on the official site?!
Got one question: Did the fix the avatars? The lifeless faces of the selected units?
Duuuude that’s so cool playing with thrall and grom. Hope we get more hero skins
Where exactly is that setting about the campaign hero skins? I still can't play with THRALL!!!
thats awesome. i want as much warcraft stuff possible ❤
Its something about the ground for the depth of view is weird with HD hard to put it on
They disabled shining around units. That's why they look more detailed. Actually not sure if it's better now.
I feel this game in my soul
Its felborn Grommosh!
Game looks awesome, Hope you guys have fun! As a mac user, still can't play as of update 2.0.....
Not sure if I like the new lighting, but the graphics overall definitely look sharper
That looked good to me. I could tell what was happening lol
I'm sorry where to check race? Allies?
"God I really wanna play with Arthas". Don't we all.
What is that jacket/hoody you've got on Grubby??? The colour is awesome
Id love if they had a skin of Thrall without his mount. Now everything is possible, cahos orc skins for the whole race, etc etc, would be really nice.
Still will not launch on Mac with new 2.0 patch
Can someone explain to me why he clicks back and forth between his buildings early on?
Is this the rumored Warcraft III: Repackaged?
Lighting, Shadow, Terrain are so obviously different!
I would ask though, do you WANT to have the enemy race available openly if you’re playing random? Seems some of the skill expression is proper scouting timings to find that out and adapt, no?
I don't know what it currently does, but I think it's better if it doesn't tell you what a random opponent is
if they wanted to make it so it was similar to the original game, then it says human when a player selected human, orc whne a player selected orc,
but when a player selected random, it should say random, not what race they are
It won't show you their race for random. It only shows you what's available at the loading screen.
@ Oh ok awesome
i tink its bad to already encounter 3 faults after 1 time playin te new patc. wen i make a custom ame vs ai, i could add computer enemy muc faster before. now i need to move my mouse to et to te next field were i add te ai. and if worker is sowin idle, i click te icon bottom left, it usually switcted camera to te worker. now i need to click te icon and ten its portrait to et to te worker. and y and z were still switced for my key layout, ad to manually cane tat aain.
i found this new grass too sharp for my eyes, really hurts, i suppose it would be better to reduce saturation, or maybe it's just my perception?
Grubby, brother
Ты на презентации🎉 "Oh my god"
Крутой момент, лучший орк в игре!
I really want them to have Fel Orcs and High Elves as skin for units/buildings
Did the trees always become transparent when the units were nearby?
It's a setting
0:04 i hate that sound 😂😂😂
The FPS went up when you increased the light
This looks amazing! Oh, and will you also play mods again in the future like you did before? There is a mod that came out two days ago that is already updated for the latest patch, which is the High Elf Remnant by Wa666r :) I can't link it here, because youtube, but one quick search will show the mod. It's pretty amazing honestly, and his best player race mod so far! It lets you play as the High Elves in a sort of mixed Alliance/Sentinels way that is pretty fun to play with!
I would not lie if i say that playing blademaster as a Grommash make you more powerful
What music plays when you are undead or night elf?
Where can I see the changes?
We want more of Grubby the lumberjack
