Fantastic! This how I first encountered Watchfinder years ago. I hope this indicates a return of that disassembly /maintenance / reassembly series that so many of us enjoyed and looked forward to.
Watchfinder goes back to its roots!
THERE'S ONE! I found it first 😊
A narration by Andrew would be the icing on this cake for sure.
watched this during my lunch break... it helped to calm me down and reduced my level of anxiety lol
Not watched a build video like this before. Brilliant. Must admit with my eye sight I struggle to tie my own shoe laces nowadays.
Skechers Slip-Ins.
(Had mine for months now. Love ‘em!)
I've been struggling to find a career to go into, and I think I just found it. I love tinkering and building with my hands, and I love mechanical things like watches and engines. I'm going to look into this as a future job as this is the first career I've actually been interested in.
We'd love to hear more from you as you progress!
I said the same thing about a year ago. Go for it
I think the course ran in Manchester costs about £18,000.
We need more videos like this, it’d be awesome to see the disassembly of something complicated
No one does an assembly video better. Glad these are back 😊😊😊
I would never but a Rolex, but still appreciate the craftsmanship of those that rebuild them
Very well made video, thank you! Mesmerizing and makes me appreciate the care and process it takes to get a watch like that onto my wrist!
*Simply, **_incredible_** on multiple fronts (think also of the processes that had to be created just to engineer/fabricate those parts).*
Any alcoholic with a Leatherman can build this.
NOT!
Great video, please make more. How were the parts for this Rolex acquired?
MORE OF THIS!!
THIS IS SO SATISFYING!!!!
Great video. would've loved some captions to say what each stage was that he was doing.
So amazing I often take for granted whats going on inside one of my little mechanical marvels keeping time on my wrist.
Truly mesmerising video. Cannot believe how intricate the workings of such an iconic watch truly are. My eyes hurt just thinking about the minutiae of the details. Great, great video.
The balance is the one of the trickiest part. Attaching the KIF or Inca block spring and to capillary connect and aline the two synthetic rubies (concave/convex for the balance pivot) by using damn near the perfect amount of oil is something that takes quite a while to master efficiently. I can assure you those KIF springs ends up on the floor every now and then no matter how many times you've done it.
Thank God this is what I liked about this channel the macro footage.
Amazing following the entire assemble, brilliant update:)
Thank you for that, enjoyed the build immensely🙏
0:56 when the screw fell off I assume that wasn’t an important piece.
He was actually removing something at this point of the process.
Love this kind of content! More please!
Nice! Love stuff like this
Literally just got the call from my AD the next day after watching this video ❤ My first Rolex DJ
Great video vintage Rolexes rules I still have my Rolex submariner from 1958 recently serviced by my local watchmaker £ 200,- !
Fascinating!
Classic and wonderful watchfinder!
You just know these guys are legit when you see the top of the table is level to their neck - I see so many where the top of the table is at chest level or lower and it just look so uncomfortable when assembling the watch back
That would be so fun to do correctly.
Watch is a piece of artwork.
Now I understand why there why there is a huge wait for a Rolex longer than the Mayan Calendar long count.
I could watch this for hours
This is something what I would love to do!!!
My brother in law sent me a video of my Breitling on his workbench in pieces. I never appreciated the work that goes into servicing a watch until i saw it totally dismantled. Servicing Rolexes is his day job, how you manage to do that day after day is beyond me.
This is such an amazing expression of art. Well done @watchfinder
So satisfying ❤
Some company needs to sell all the pieces and tools to put together a timepiece like this. This would be so fun.
There are a couple of online watchmaking schools that can help. I did the Timezone Watchmaking School several years ago, and it was great, but there are others that may be more interactive. TZ has a partnership with one of the big parts and tools houses so you get a complete kit of tools, along with the movement. I found the kit to be a great starting point, and have successfully serviced many watches using the skills I learned. Cheers!
That company is called Bergeon 😂
Beautiful 😍
That's an amazing skill.
Hold on babe, new watchfinder video just dropped
Amazing 🤩
I do these kind of work as an hobby. These Rolex movements are ok, not too difficult (even tho they have quite many parts, respect to a same function ETA 2824, still less than a Miyota 9015 anyway). The only really difficult part is (when needed) setting the enplay of the balance... It should be in the order of 3/5 micron if I remember right and you can adjust them so finely that it runs until it's on the movement holder but slows down (or stop) if you pick the movement in your hand (with latex non-powdered gloves of course) because the heat of the hand is enough to expand the length of balance shaft enough to "eat up" the endplay if you have set it too small...
What are you talking about? Here we see jeweled calendar works, jeweled barrel arbors, serviceable reverse wheels to name a few differentiators. This thing is built to last. While 2824 is a good movement, it is nowhere close.
@@uniqname4sure It's funny, the chinese clones of the ETA 28xx HAVE the jeweled barrel arbor (as like as the Sellita clone). I've seen 30yo ones working fine after a service, and I've seen 15yo 3135 in need to replace the escape wheel because it was worn out (at their pivot). The counterweight not on bearing (on the 3135) is something I hate too. I think that Rolex, for what I've seen, is highly overhyped. Nothing more than a machine made movement. And now even perfectly replicated (apart the free sprung balance hairspring with stella screws regulation) from Chinese, so well that you can put there genuine parts...
To me "special movements" are something else. Rolexes are just "workhorses" and cost too much for what they are.
Awesome! 😊
I just literally bought the 16013 with tapestry dial today, have been staring at it for the past couple of hours. It's my first watch and I'm loving it. How serendipitous.
seeing this reminds me of how awesome the inside of my datejust is LOL
How did you get this Rolex factory footage?
Wonderful
Fantastic video, love watching skilled professionals at work, and thats a beautiful mechanism why don’t Rolex do sapphire case backs?as its a shame to cover that work of art up
Very nice editing i must say ❤
Love that you're still making time for stuff like this in between the always enjoyable commentary on watches and watch culture.
That is the exactl datejust i want
Any chance of showcasing the newer 32xx series of movements?
Sure don’t want to showcase their timegraph results lol 32xx having all kinds of issues
I'll admit , this is very satisfying to see 👍
Edit: I dig the music too. Makes me want to learn how to fix my older keyboards and drum machines 🤓
Brilliant 🍻
Mesmerizing. Would have been perfect if it mixed ambient sounds and low volume music
Mezmorizing.
that song, what's the name?
Nice
Bro just didn’t lube halve of the keyless works
My father had done the job professionally and i enjoy that wasn't easy and cheap
How much to build a custom Rolex for me
Elevator music for days
Easily watchable on 2x speed.
if the assembly is this quick, why I need to wait years for my rolex?
Imagine having one screw left over
Isn't this a watch repair guy putting back together an old watch? This isn't the actual rolex assembly process of a new watch.
How much
I’m slightly more efficient than this guy…
I give you back all the parts I couldn’t find a spot for! 🤣🤪
good job govna
There’s a lot of people who have these watches and have no idea what’s going on inside.
Nice video, but without Marshall @WristwatchRevival narrating it and explaining everything, it felt sterile and uninteresting. 😂
Interesting, but some commentary and explanation would be much better than the awful music.
Pls don't the watch use battery
40% chinese parts on that table. 😉😂
This video, along with Mr Morgan’s comments in his own channel, makes me nervous…
Iam shocked that Rolex goons haven't kicked in his door and dragged him off camera for showing us the "magic"!! Thank you for putting your life on the line so we may peek behind the curtain!
Where can I buy the tiny finger rubbers? Asking for a friend....🍤
Very cute and all, but no, just no.
PS, let's hope they found that screw at 0:56 seconds!
So now we can see why they cost so much, I hope the watch makers are on 1 million a yr salary
Enjoyable once I muted the intrusive music
Im certainly no expert, and would never suggest the guy who did the reassembly did it wrong, but ive never seen the automatic works being reassembled after the movement had been put back in the watch. I guess whatever works for you. 👍🏼
That does seem a bit odd! I’ve never serviced a Rolex or taken their classes, maybe all the guys in the service department do it that way because it saves x min per watch?
never seen someone start with the stem and keyless works either, I guess everyone have their own preferred assembly routine

Very nice video. Really cool to see how a watch is put together 🙂.
It's relaxing and you can learn a bit about the inner workings of a watch.
There is something else I learned. This watch is put together with parts made in a CNC machine. No "haute" horology in side.
That is a shame looking at what A Lange does for you for the same money.
Marketing is king, takumi is jester at Rolex.
*sneezes*
$37.48 worth of material
This is not how they are made.
Lazy video from Watchfinder. There’s plenty of this type of video on TH-cam. Watchfinder- review watches like you’re supposed to.
Their first videos were like this too. That said Andrew seems to be striking out in his own now, so maybe we will be better fewer talking hands vids in the future
This is so therapeutic! 🫠
