I feel like in hindsight maybe this was Tallstar's way of seeing Jake through Fireheart. Seeing that same spirit in both cats and acknowledging it. Tallstar always respected Fireheart, but after reading Tallstar's Revenge I kind of see why he would respect him so much even during the journey back. And even with that respect, Tallstar never let ThunderClan just tell WindClan what to do and held his own while still being respectful about it-he would only resort to fighting if pushed enough. Where as Onestar.....oof. Dammit Tallstar.

I think that’s my weak point too . Character who get pulled appart not because of outside forces but upon an understanding they can’t leave together and both be happy . They are just shooting star and eachother lives . Gone too soon but leaving no regret or sourness behind

Tallstar always watched over Firestar more than anyone else in Starclan because he always considered him as his own son. The reason why he never had a mate was because he always considered Jake as his mate, even though he knew Jake would probably settle down and have his own kits. He always vowed to never fall in love again and he kept his word.
I really hate to burst your bubble because I agree and think that's really cute, but I'm pretty sure Tallstar actually did have a mate. I think it was Morningflower or something. Never mentioned in the books tho

Tallstar and Jake's relationship is just so wholesome!! I think my favorite scene in the whole book is at the very end when Tallstar is getting his nine lives and he says, " 'Every cat I have known--' He paused as Jake filled his thoughts. He pictured his old friend's green eyes glowing with pride. 'Every cat I have _loved_ has taught me the meaning of friendship and the unbending power of the warrior code.' " (ch. 45)
Like, I know it's a small thing, but seeing Tallstar say out loud that he really _loves_ Jake just makes my heart swell with happiness. Aaaaah! I just love these boys!!!
I cried so much in Tallstar’s revenge. I even cried when PALEBIRD TOLD TALLKIT TO EAT FRESHKILL INSTEAD OF MILK. mmm this book is so good.
Jello Pitts SAME Tallstar’s revenge is one of the only warriors books that can make me cry. (But also I realized that a lot of warriors books make me cry and I cry really easily. Examples: Leafpool’s wish, Twilight [i actually don’t remember if it’s Twilight but it was the book before Sunset], Crowfeather’s trial, Ravenpaw’s farewell, every single manga with Ravenpaw, etc.)

Silverstream was just made out to be a sexy 1 dimensional character. And it made Grey a play boy
Dumb, Enby, and Doomed ya, I agree, but I think it was mostly done to create drama between riverclan and thunderclan.
While I agree the relationship soured Graystripe’s character, Silverstream was in no way a 1 dimensional character. She has so much depth and personality and made me laugh and cry and is honestly just an underrated character. Do you want me to continue?

When the video from the Tallstars revenge music started playing I got so damn emotional. It’s probably one of my favorite books like ever. TallJake is just so adorable and wholesome and the art in this video is gorgeous

all my favorite ships seem to be the ones where they were “friends” but also so much more. like purdy and mousefur, their chemistry throughout their time together was so cute and i love the so so much! and that’s scene where purdy burys her in a patch of sun cause that’s where she always wanted to be broken my freaking heart.
also jay x briar GOSH briarlights funeral is so heartbreaking and i will ALWAYS sob when i read it. seeing jay so shattered and blaming himself for her death is terrible. having to see him not even be able to speak at her vigil broke my heart in a way i never knew could over fictional battle cats.

Ahhh. I love this ship.
I loved it so much that i wrote a piece where Jake ran into Smudge (since we get to see Firestar and Tallstar know each other).
Since Smudge is described similar to Tallstar and his official art has a really big resemblance.
I thought of a scenario where the two ran into each other and discussed about their friends after the clans had to leave the forest. It's from Jake's POV.
Edit: they think each other is their missing friend (jake thinks smudge is tallstar and smudge thinks jake is fireheart)
My fave is Raven/Barley. Just love me some wholesome barn boyfriends. I'm gonna sit here and wait for the eventual Clearsight/Darkstalker video for Shipuary :3c

dustpelt and ferncloud has always been my favorite canon couple and is honestly one of my favorite written couples. when brindleface died dustpelt was there to comfort her and ferncloud helped dustpelt with his jealousy and insecurities. they went through so much tragedy with their kits’ deaths and really cared about each other more than anyone. when ferncloud died dustpelt was devastated and bramblestar’s storm really showed how much her death affected him and when he died i had to stop reading for awhile because of how upset i was. they had such a bittersweet relationship and stayed with each other till the end.
I haven't even read the book but thinking about taht makes me wanna cry

Actually, The beginning of LeafxCrow it made me want to cry. They were so helpless but head over heels for each other, and when Leafpool and Cinderpelt lashed out at each other because of it... *It all made me cry* and then they left the clans- AND THE FACT THAT CINDERPELT (ON OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS AT THE TIME) HAD TO DIE! ROGHT AFTER THAT!
