A Newbies review: EFE Rail LNER J94 Review

**Update**
Found out AFTER recording the video, that it does come in LMR Blue, so will be getting one of them!
Time to have a go at reviewing my view EFE Rail engine, which is the stout LNER J94, also known as the Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST, and compared to the original back in the day from Farish, this engine is much more improved since that one!
The detailing is superb, including on the inside, has a nice weight to it, no traction tires and runs very nicely!
Also sorry on some of the blurry shots!

At first I thought, "where is the coal stored". Then a closer look and listening, has a little coal box, big enough for the as designed purpose of LNER J94. Moving cargo around the yard, docks, etc. Your camera did a nice job with details. I'd be looking to have something like that with a few open carriages as I would like to recreate a narrow gauge sugar train layout, from late 1800's Hawaii, Kauai in particular.

It is quite a small coal bunker on the back, and yes it was mostly just for shunting or just small trips, and cheers very much, did invest into a close up lens for the camera considering how small everything is heh
And have thought about doing a Narrow Gauge layout before, however haven't yet worked out the theme for it so it's on the back burner for now!

Something to keep the track clean? There is the gaugemaster unpowered track cleaner, bout £30 if I recall correctly, though does need a generally strong loco to pull it round due to the extra friction.

A fair rake of coaches that little loco is pulling. What is it like over the points James? Does it still pick up ok from the mainline to the goods shed for example?

It does pull a good amount round the layout, even up the slight incline, as for the points, I've not had any issues with the mainline ones since the relays work properly on those ones (well mostly) though there are some along towards the goods are (the second double slip) which I need to replace so bit hard to test as I know there's an issue with the track there.
