I remember in 2007 when I was working in real estate seeing people buy homes new from builders with the intention of selling before close of escrow to a new buyer for profit. The crash was so brutal and fast that I remember seeing a lot of these units foreclosed on with the builder plastic still on the carpet.

Most people find it difficult to handle a fall since they are used to bull markets, but if you know where to look and how to maneuver, you can make a size-able profit. Depending on how you intend to enter and exit, yes.

Real estate is great! I just finished up my first year as a real estate agent here in Dallas, I still have a full time job, and serve fully in my church.I managed to close 885k in real estate transactions as a solo agent. Self motivation, hustle, having a plan, and a extra income source are key in starting out in the business!

Find a great mentor, get a coach, learn basic marketing. You do not need to own real estate to become a successful agent. Get comfortable with being told “no.” Being shot down, and keep moving forwards.
We all got into this business for different reasons, just know it’s very hard, and it’s not a get rich quick scheme. Just don’t quit, make a solid outline and goal. Find a mentor that keeps you honest and accountable for your goals. Every transaction is different, and it’s always changing. Good luck!

    • @URBeingVeryUndude

Truth. The initial training and test proves only that you can pay attention and learn things. Your real education in real estate comes with every showing, every written offer, every inspection, every closing, every disappointment. If you're willing to continually learn, and willing/able to make absolutely nothing the first year, you'll be fine.

I want to get into real estate. I want to do it to earn money I’d be lying if I said otherwise.Currently I sell appliances for a living and repair. Well at the moment it’s repair only since I don’t have a place to fix appliances. I’m just tired of getting no where with it. Too many downs not enough ups. I don’t enjoy it much. I’m good at fixing but it’s not my thing. So real estate would be a change just have lots of questions. I really want to make more than I am to be able to buy my first home, to be able to give my kids a better future, to be able to even give a wedding to my girl friend. I just want to be able to afford these things and you cannot with no money. I also like working for my self been working like that since 19. I just like to work on my own terms. It’s always been like that. I would like to try this I am a bit familiar with sales and with hard work. I just think it’s time for me to move on and try something maybe will turn into a passion. I do like talking to people making connections. It be nice to make people happy rather than what I do now where my work is not appreciated and it’s exhausting to deal with many people who take you for granted. But enough said real estate could be my way out of misery could be my way out of this hole I’m in.

Maximize both if you have the necessary funds to do so, IRA max contribution for 2021 is $6000 for the year . The Roth IRA is growing tax free (taxes are taken out) while the traditional will be taxed once you start to withdrawal when you retire.
Also take advantage contributing to 2020 year and Max it out also ( I believe you can still catch up if you haven’t)
Invest in low cost index funds
