I first met Terry Callier in Detroit Mi.at a club called " Dummy Georges " .I fell in love with music from that point on.He was definitely underated in life ; underated in death as well.
This is a great funky cut on the 1972 album. I had my doubts about hearing a recent version. My fears were misplaced; Callier is in fine form here. Great version, great upload.
Marco from the young disciples put me onto Terry when I met him in Melbourne many years ago and he has remained my favourite artist of all time. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this up, has made my year!!!!!!
@gremdek Video was shot by filmmaker Beatrice Tillmann from modzilla films - there s also a DVD with more videos from the same venue ( Quasimodo Club) 'Terry Callier-Live in Berlin'
He conocido ste tema x mi hijo David.El lleva el rock.Jazz.Blues en la sangre.Tambien hace sus temitas te hip hop pero como digo lo suyo es el rock y si no es asi me lo cargo jjj
Does anyone knows what is the kind of song Jim Muller is playing ? awesome song by the way. love it. don't you feel like travling just liinstening to Terry ?
Fuck me what an amazing version of this beautiful track, I've heard it before in a previous life, but I'm literally reproducing with this fucker xxxxxx
Boggles my mind why someone would downvote such wonderful artistry instead of just moving along if they don't like it. Anyway, I just heard the song "Live With Me" by Massive Attack and was blown away (as others) by the vocals and someone commented it was Callier. All these dudes are really good, but check out that song if you can. Edit: OK, really good is an understatement!
He was a janitor when Curtis Mayfield discovered him. I saw him twice in SF. He signed my CDs and then someone broke into my apartment and stole them. Fuck SF .
Terry is so underrated , and this tune is so powerful. The mix here doesn't give it justice but nevertheless the performance was still very good, especially from the lead guitarist. Way too too shore though, they could have jam the hell out of that tune !...
Do you ever notice how it must be a completely conscious choice on a musician's part to have an all-black or an all-white backing band? I always think it must be because those particular musicians are the best, but there's usually a color line there.

The way Terry looks to Jim, is something fascinating 1:50 2:53 . Just great friends before musicians.
Great artist! He finally got the recognition he deserved. His guitarist also has a superb sound and the base line really compliments this song.
A bassline of pure gold!

I love this version with the great guitar jammin in the background, sounds a little bit like BB Kings Lucille, but as if Eric Clapton would play it
That's all we like... Real, real, real... Blues in live.
"Who Care about", like Johnny Lee used to said, 'the way you play it, if it sounds..
