Thank you for this video and the Amazon wishlist. I bought my hawk specifically for work commute only 10 miles one way because my wife uses our only vehicle and I couldn’t justify paying for a car for that little of use. The headlight is the main reason I am here and wish I could give you more praise for helping me with the parts. Many thanks!
Hey RHC. As others have posted, great video and awesome Hawk. Bolting the license plate through the rear fender is very clever. Just in case you need to adjust the shock again removing the airbox makes it a lot easier. Where did you get those fantastic mirrors? You can get rid of the 2x4 block by bending the kickstand mount down and inward. This is best done with a helper so you can "test" the angle before re-installing the kickstand bolt. This procedure is easier with a "helper" and/or a jack or maintenance stand. Remove the kickstand and spring(s). Put on a set of thick leather work or welding gloves. Use a propane or MAPP torch to heat the mount on the kickstand side of the frame weld until the mount (close to the frame, but not the frame itself) is a dull orange. "Sandwich" the jaws of an 18"-24" adjustable wrench around the top and bottom of the kickstand mount. Facing the handle up rather than down will give you better leverage. Slide the jaws as close to the weld as you can get them. Bend the kickstand mount down toward the ground. Test-fit the kickstand on its mount to check for a good angle. Repeat the heat-and-bend cycle until the kickstand is in the proper spot Let the metal cool, Remove burnt paint off of the top and bottom of the mount and frame with a wire brush Prime then paint the bare metal. Reinstall the kickstand and spring. Even if you never use them again, brake spring pliers will make this last step much easier. I did all of the above to my 2015 RPS Haosen Hawk 250. It never tipped over the kickstand again.
Good looking bike! Grand Junction and Buena Vista both have great trails for these bikes. If the cops can find whomever stole mine I'd be happy to join you west of the Divide
a street/trail bike set up for commuting on the hwy. good work! I am ok leaning for full foot support on the ground when stopping but I will consider that seat upgrade and/or different shock. I am still breaking mine in (less than 100 miles so far) and hope for SOME relief adjusting rear shock. Mine is set with the rear shock stiff & most height.
I'm 5.7 and still have my stock shock. It was so high I couldn't get on it hardly. I adjusted the shock to the softest position. Now I can get on it better and be on my tippy toes which is fine with me because u can lean alittle on one side . I'm used to it though having dirt bikes all my life.
I am 5.11. Softening the rear shock is a plus. I consider taking an inch out of the seat foam since I plan to remove the hump the driver position has, anyway. For a dirt bike, it is a phat seat, tho. @@johnjohn7551
I know a guy who bought one and let a friend take it up and down the lane. Coming down from a wheelie the front wheel completely collapsed, it was new.
Love the bike! I have a Raven that I just bought. I would love to change the seat to make it a little lower and more comfortable. Do you have a link to the seat you have? It looks like what I'm looking for. Thanks.
Really nice mods. Did the rear shock make a huge difference? I don't know much about these bikes but saw the 2021 has some upgrades and fuel injection- which should be a nice thing to have for reliable starts. Do you recommend the 250cc 2021 Enduro Hawk? What upgrades are must haves?
How is the 43 tooth gear? Did your dlx come with the new larger chain? Would you recommend going down more for higher gearing? Stock at 7k rpm I can cruise at 55 60, where at you at in that range?
I put the new chain on. I don't do too much riding at 60+mph but I did end up switching back to stock 16/50 setup because of the 6500-8000ft altitude that I ride at. The Hawk just doesn't have enough power to keep the speed up. Sometimes I would be wide open going up a hill, 4th gear and my speed would be dropping lol.
Bro ur mods r tough af u got me with the led break light that blinks 3 times I really like that feature thanks for that bro really sick bike subbed and liked
What is the final seat height after changing the seat and the rear shock? I've been looking for a first bike, and was interested in the hawk dlx but the stock seat height seems pretty intimidating. I'm just over 6 feet tall but it's ALL torso.
They are just a cheap sticker so they peel off really easy. I did all mine in a minute. Just peel them off and wipe down the fairings with a microfiber.
Why are you whispering and doing blow during shooting a TH-cam video? Are you wearing all black Velcro shoes? Joking, I am going to get the Dual USB Charger, thank you for providing the links on Amazon.
"Hey guys, in todays video I will be whispering into the microphone..."
I was whispering so I wouldn't wake your mom. We are both so sorry
That's the best looking hawk I've ever seen
What about the seat cover? Is it also on amazon?
When I saw that front bag and the aggressive tires Days Gone just floated right in.
i was thinking the same thing
Dang that thing looks like it’s ready for the Baja 1,000! Good looking bike!
Dude, you taught me everything about my hawk, thank you. And I like all your other vids.

Nice Bike!!! It looks like a real deal adventure Dual Sport bike. I might have to copy that headlight set up. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Some days I prefer riding the hawk over my street bike. Got just over 1000 miles on mine only issues a cracked gas tank. Like the setup you got going.
innovative stuff. HD bucket with a circular LED and custom brackets >?
I think you have the best looking hawk 250 !
The sweetest hawk I have ever seen
Man that is a beautiful hawk, I love that headlight

That looks like a very nice bike. I own a 2022 DLX.
*Very nice bike, where did you find those front shocks?*
That looks awesome. Looks like a lot of thought went into how you wanted it to look.

What’s up with the skid plate? I can’t find it anywhere
You're in Colorado!? Me too! We should meet up and ride! I'm just north of Denver.
I'm in Denver. Getting my bike in about 2 weeks. I'm down to ride. I have a couple more friends that are down too.
Thanks.

how did you remove the stickers on the plastic??
They are just a cheap sticker so they peel off really easy. I did all mine in a minute. Just peel them off and wipe down the fairings with a microfiber.
How can I find the seat? i cant find it
cscmotorcycles.com/tt250-seat-by-seat-concepts/
Not just overheating the wires, you might overheat the light. I'd find another solution for that.
Been riding daily since this video and no burning or overheating to report. It's working great!
Why are you whispering and doing blow during shooting a TH-cam video? Are you wearing all black Velcro shoes? Joking, I am going to get the Dual USB Charger, thank you for providing the links on Amazon.
🙌🙌
Well done! You switch out the lower fork covers or did yours come in black?
they originally came in white but both arrived broken. the black ones were sent as a replacement
That's kind of a weird move, south Carolina which stays pretty hot to Colorado.
Yo I wanna get a bike. I’m by Vail!!
How did you get all those god awful graphics off of it ?
I think I just used a heat gun and they came right off.
Why not just buy a Honda if your gonna put all that $ in cool mods?
All these mods plus the bike brand new is still cheaper than a grom.
@@gtlogic2362 wow, that’s crazy
