I’m glad to know that it took you 5 years to get down to a system that works to keep a house clean and tidy. It’s such a relief to someone like myself, just starting.
I truly teared up when you said to appreciate having things to clean because other people don't. What a powerful statement and I will definitely look at cleaning and organising differently. Thank you.
I just want to say thank you. I have anxiety, and I've had a recent flare up. I used all my energy to put on a brave face and continue my day to day life, so when it came to household chores, well, they suffered immensely. My house got so overwhelmingly disgusting that I just didn't know where to start, which made my anxiety worse. I came across your awesome videos, some of which I binge watched multiple times - so thanks to you, I got my home back to a pristine level, and am finally feeling so much better again.
This is why I’m here. My husband gets so frustrated with me. But I totally give him the right to be. He’s not a dirty man, he is very clean and puts everything where it goes, and I just throw things everywhere. I’ve been putting things off because I’m so anxious about where to start or what to do.

I love when parents get their kids involved in cleaning the house. All my kids help out even our 2.5-year-old. It is so important to teach the next generation how to keep a tidy home.
I'll send you my 9-year old. He let his clothes fall everywhere in the house. And his toys. And my tools he keeps on taking. And he loves to cut paper scraps that fall on the floor. Not to mention that he keeps eating outside the kitchen...
As a writer, this is key for me. Perfectionism is the death of all writing. I’m trying to not shoot for perfect, but perfectly acceptable, and I can go from there. An idea is of no use if it lives only between my ears. I could have the next huge book in my head and no one, including me, would know if it never escapes onto the page. Perfectionism is a horrible trait for so many reasons. 😖
@@SunflowerSpotlight Jeez, I'm a writer too and your comment, if I didn't know better, I would think I'd written it. Same problem here; how do I relax enough to concentrate on writing, to let my mind get into and stay in that flow state it gets into when I'm into writing, when my to do list is NEVER EVER finished or even close to finished? I used to think when my kids all left home I'd finally have time to do some of the things I wanted to do. But now, although I've a lot less work to do, my age, health and being slower all around mean I'm still up to my neck in it. I try to force myself to keep some kind of schedule for writing but that ability appears to have gone the same route my quickness did ....away from me. lol. I need to figure this out .
I wish I had learned this at your age! Now in my 60's, every habit you explain has become part of my day. It is now second nature to me, and it makes my home a sanctuary. I am blessed, relaxed, and thankful for my home and my things. The less you have, the more you appreciate what you have. Just subscribed to your channel.....
Ahhh thank you so much!!! I also wish I had started implementing routines and being more disciplined when I was younger but I'm happy I am finally in this better state - thank you for watching and for subscribing ❤
Omg love seeing your son cleaning! Good job, mom! It is everyone’s home and all need to help! I totally agree with never going to bed with a mess or dishes in the sink! Your day starts with a smile!!
Watched this within the last few days of 2019, hopefully foreshadowing my new habits for 2020. Probably has the potential to be one of the most transformative videos I've seen on TH-cam.
I really liked your tip about getting 1 color for towels so that you don't have to wash separate colors. I am changing all of my towels and bedding to white so that if there are stains you just bleach everything. Thanks for the great video.
VL H saves sooo much time, I love white towels and used to have them but dark hair dye and self tanner are not a great match 😅 thanks so much for watching 🙌🏻😘🙌🏻
I had white towels for years but I added some darker colors - olive green and medium gray - for times when someone (guests) would feel better wiping hands on a darker colored hand towel. That has saved me from soaking and bleaching.
Yea I did that years ago. I also stopped buying red clothes as it used to bleed on things. Makes life so much easier and darker clothes easier to clean with kids. My son only wears black socks. At camp kids took his white socks and he alsl came home with dirty socks so then I got black socks (gold toe) no one has those and I never had to keep buying socks.
I stopped buying anything white. Give up that highly toxic cancer-causing bleach. Wash in cold water. No need to sort colors. Rarely use my dryer...clothes stay so 'brand new' when u put them right on the hangers to dry. I'm tall, so I can't afford any shrinkage.
Just now came back to watch this again after 2 months. Back in June this video inspired me to make changes and I started looking into minimalism, watched Marie Kondo, then ended up vegan. 😊 I just wanted you to know how inspiring you are for some of us coming out of depression and wanting a change for the better💙
@@The-Sunday-Diaries that’s ridiculous! I’m in Melbourne not much better paying 550 a week, landlords of charging, whatever they want to and getting away with it.., it’s becoming impossible, too rent,
The Flylady system is huge here in the U.S. she says “you can’t clean clutter”. You basically are doing her system. Routines! Great video with super important principals for living. 👍
Yes!!! I started incorporating TFL principles into my home when my first baby was born way before even Facebook was popular - she has great basic routines 💫👍🏻
Misunderstood Squirrel yes it’s the quickest way to decide for me and spending too much time agonising over deciding whether to keep the most insignificant things made my process 10 times longer than necessary 😅 honestly never missed a single thing I’ve gotten rid of over the years 🙌🏻💫🙌🏻
It’s a great one. I had a ton of office clothes and clubbing I never wore anymore since I hadn’t worked in an office in years and not into clubbing anymore. Donated it all. Even after that I STILL have a ways to go with purging my way-too-big collection of clothing. It can be so overwhelming to even work on it. Gotta muster up the motivation though.
Me too! My wardrobe is nice and organised so I’m ok clothes wise it’s everything else that I need to start getting rid of, like odd bits and bobs of items that ‘I may’ need one day but then never actually use.... I’m getting to work this weekend!! It’s time to start de cluttering!! 👊
MoonSpinners I took five years to go from bursting at the seams to just the right amount of stuff.. the great thing now is that there’s so much inspiration available 💫🙌🏻💫 thanks for watching 🙏🏻
THE SUNDAY STYLIST ...thank you for your reply, I confess to being stuck in a rut with my so called decluttering, but watching your videos is giving me that kick up the backside I need to get going again. The problem is, I get too comfortable watching you do all the work! 😂
I live by the 6 month rule, if I haven't used it for that amount of time I get rid of it. Maybe it's just me but I've come to find duplicates of something a waste of time and space. When reasonable I get rid of duplicates or invest in higher quality items in order to get rid of multiple items.
Nonhlanhla Pinzi the thing is, my stress level depends largely on how my house is. It’s my haven and I’m not letting my husband ruin that for me. He’s learning though :)
Love you energy! What resonates with me is when you say that we are blessed to have things that need to be cleaned. So many are without so embrace your cleaning routine. Great video.
Yes, I'm 'house proud'. I't 'fun' for me to set my timer and see what I can find to wipe down/dust for 5 minutes...or 10. My place is never more than 5 minutes away from ready for guests.
This is my favorite part, can't agree more : "DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT." 😆 (I just keep saying this in my head to save me from perfectionism and procrastination)
I loved how you are not on the minimalist band wagon but stress DONE and not PERFECT. Your space looks orderly and everything is in place not a showcase. Inspirational.
I like some of the aspects of minimalism e.g not hanging on to things you never use...but I like our home to feel cosy and inviting and like people actually live in it ❤💫❤
I learned most of this from my dad, but I live with a family that does not want to be like this. It felt very calming to watch this video. Also, you live with two superheroes.
I grew up in total chaos which is why I am sure I like things to stay under control and clean & tidy 🌷my two boys are definitely my SuperHeroes 😊🙌😊thank you so much for watching
I’ve watched a TON of these and this is literally the first cleaning video that was so encouraging! Especially your comment on being grateful to even have a home. I believe that is most important! ❤️👍🏾
let me tell you de-cluttering is the best thing I ever did. I will never ever ever keep clutter again. Its amazing how letting go of all these things that you think you may need sometime in the future but don't ever miss once its gone can make your quality of life soooo much better. Having less is living life. Simple, stress free, easy. Thanks for all the great tips. I am already doing most of the things you have suggested but your do less more often tip is gold, and doing things even if they don't need to get done. Thanks!
You're kinda like the mom I've always wanted but never had. My mother was always absolutely mad when trying to clean the house, but never had a method. You keep things simple and get straight to the point. I absolutely love your content and appreciate it so much. You are awesome!
Great video. I work hard at keeping my home clean, tidy and uncluttered, but always welcome new time-saving tips. Your home looks lovely! And, as a perfectionist, I really love your advice that “Done is better than perfect”.
Thank you for sharing this. It has changed my life! I now enjoy tidying up and occasionally I get little help from my 2 year old which thinks that tidy up, or ta da as he calles it, is a game. I’m totally inspired, so is my husband! Words cannot describe how grateful we are for your video!
Thank you for this awesome episode. I am old enough to know better but 'adulting' can tire you out at times, and you feel defeated. I found this refreshing and soooo encouraging. And also, I am so happy you didn't use the word 'guys'. "hi guys" "you guys" "bye guys", which is so prevalent in other TH-cam clips. It was a pleasure listening to this.
Gratefulness goes such a long way. Like, I used to have really bad mental health issues (I mean, I still have them I just manage it much better and feel much better these days) and addiction and things. And I found that making lists of what you're grateful for every day (or week, as much as needed) or thanking God - if you believe, I do, but I know not everyone does - for things every day can REALLY make a massive difference in how you feel. I even thank God and add to those lists things that wouldn't seem like good things. Like, certain struggles and challenges I still put on the list because, most of those things make you stronger or teach you something, so you can even find ways to be grateful for hard stuff. Maybe you don't need this advice, but maybe you do, so I thought I'd put it here in case it would help you out, or anyone else that reads it. :) Merry Christmas.
All these tips are so practical and helpful! I’ll tell you what else helps to keep a clean and tidy home, not having a man around making mess and doing nothing to help clean and organise the space and making you feel bad that you can’t get on top of everything on your own. Good on you for making your home clutter free and beautiful you deserve to enjoy your space xo
My mother taught me how to iron. She ironed everything; I toned that down a bit. Still, it's a lot of work. When I got really ill, I wasn't able to do any ironing at all. So things were just folded and put in the closests. To my amazement, almost all the wrinkles would be out of clothes after 15 minutes of wearing them! The body warmth and movement did the trick. Never ironed a T-Shirt or jeans again. Saved me tons of work. Sharing to help you save time too.
And if you think it has to ironing. Than hang that tshirt on the closet when it is still a little bit wet after you shake it 2-3 times. Seems like ironed. My cousin have a ill child and need to be smart by home things so I learned from her.
We recently retired and moved from a 2800 square-foot home with 2 acres, a pool and a 2 1/2 car garage. It was overwhelming through the process. But, the best thing we have ever done! We now live in our 800 square-foot home and it’s so cozy and organized and we are free from all the unnecessary stress and maintenance. I 100% agree that less is everything!
I always feel tired after work and making dinner that the last thing i wanna do is clean the house.. fr now on, i will put aside 20 mins a day for cleaning an area.. thks for the motivation!
I also feel like this A LOT but I think if I don't feel like doing it now when it's a little mess, then I'm really not gonna feel like doing it tomoorow when its a BIG mess, also I get in and do a bit of cleaning before I stop or sit down otherwise I'm less likely to get back up again 😅thanks for watching 💖💫💖
That's why there's such a big meth problem among working wives and mothers. Unless you're very young, and energetic, too, you can't do it if you have a family AND a job. The Flylady method helps, but even she isn't mentally geared for people who have too little time and/or energy and she has no sympathy for it. I was rather shocked at her response to a lady on Facebook; Flylady has zero interest in anyone but stay-at-home women who are just too depressed or discouraged to clean. She says she just wants people to get out of their chairs and move, but what about those of us who do too MUCH moving? We're left twisting in the wind.
@@edennis3202 the last thing I feel like doing after a 22 hr shift is clean. İ go straight to bed, no energy for cleaning stuff but that's maybe because I don't just do quick simple tasks. Maybe I should try one or two quick fixes.
@@edennis3202 I had subbed flylady on a recommendation & 1 vid. When she insisted you can't be ready for the day until your wearing your shoes, I unsubbed. 1st I have a leg full of metal, shoes don't add to my comfort. 2nd, living in apartments and wearing shoes all day causes ppl to stomp on the ceilings of those below. Without shoes it's painful on legs & spine to stomp on your neighbors. Mine apparently wear army boots, stay at home & never sit down. Clearly they subbed flylady.
This is the first cleaning video where I actually felt it was practical & realistic & you actually understand the stress & difficulty of keeping things clean. I appreciate the different outlook you offered as well. I do have a very beautifully designed home & you're right, so many ppl don't get to live in the style & beauty that I get to live in. So many ppl don't even know how to decorate their home like I can & I should feel blessed to be able to clean it & enjoy it rather than take it for granted. I really appreciate you offering that mindset. That's big for me. I had the idea to get into a habit of cleaning of doing 5 mins of cleaning for every hour that Im home. I work from home so it would be a nice break from the computer for me & I could make it fun with music for the kids too. Like a quick Cleaning Party every hour. I'm the worst at cleaning up after myself so maybe this will be a good start. We'll see. 😊 Thx!
My favourite is clean as you go. It makes it so much easier. Also the short evening routine. It’s something I’ve started doing and it really does make things a lot easier.
I really like the "Would I buy it again?" question (more forgivable than the "have I worn it in the last year?" question). Also, the keeping of a basket in your car for donatable items. One more goodie I picked up is the "if I can sell it for $50.00 or more, and am pretty sure it will sell quickly, then I'll list it" idea! Sometimes I wonder what to do with items I'm not using/needing/wanting but am reluctant to let go of if I paid a lot of money on them! Thanks so much!
I'm a professional housecleaner and these tips are fantastic! Also - never feel 'bad' about hiring a helper to clean if it's overwhelming you or you just plain dislike cleaning. - I have built a career on giving families (mums especially) get their time back to spend with their families. Cleaners are actually the gift of time and I LOVE what I do xx
Girl you just blew my mind folding laundry in the kitchen. WHY do I always take it right past that exact place in my home straight to the table or the sofa and complain in my mind that its all too short and hurts my back???? What have I been thinking? I am ashamed of my brain atm lol
I am moving after 6 yrs... I’ve had so much anxiety about down sizing and decluttering because a lot of things are not going with me. This video was very inspirational and helpful... Thank you
The struggle is real... We moved this past Dec, even though we went from a small 2bed/1 bath apt to a 4bed/2bath home, we still declutter and have plenty to sell (at a garage sale or online)...
Wow, refreshing and unique content! Finally, someone who talks about the BEHAVIOR of cleaning, instead of the “hack” of putting essential oils in a toilet roll to help the bathroom smell “fresh”.
+Helena Andrade wow really? My ex husband used to work at IKEA in Australia over ten years ago and the whole time he worked there we never bought a single thing with his staff discount 🤣
THE SUNDAY STYLIST are you serious? 😂😂😂 what an opportunity wasted 😜 with the amount of products you have now from IKEA, you almost deserve a discount 😉
Thank you for this. My two biggest struggles are the laundry and cleaning dishes. I’ve gotten better at the dishes and cleaning the kitchen every day. But I will work more on the clean as you go. The laundry is such a dreadful task for me. Especially getting it put away! I have that same exact problem of having too much and I get so exhausted at the end of the day. I’m going to work on purging and donating items so they aren’t over stuffing my drawers. Thanks!
I first got started with cleaning routines 12 years ago when my eldest was a baby and just worked things into my own routine, always remember to be patient with your progress 🙌💫🙌 thanks you so much for watching 💖
also: if you don't mind- just leave out the folding! not everyone can be Kon Marie. As long as the clothes are clean and put away. This saves me so much time and effort!
Laundry is my favorite! I love the clean smell and hanging it on the line in nice weather! I also love dishes bc awesome smelling soap and bamboo drying rack make me smile. My struggle is emptying the dish rack, so hubby does that ; )
We are sisters from another mother! My mother (RIP) was a firm believer in all 10 of your steps. I am so blessed that she ran a household of eight children like you. She would say ask these questions: do you like it, love it, is it useful? Or is it taking space and something you don’t want to be caught dead with? LOL. Thank you for all of your practical and organized suggestions. I am sharing this! Thank you!
I love what you said right before habit number 9. You try to appreciate that you have all these things to clean. You are very fortunate and do have a beautiful home. Thank you for the video.
"don't put it down, put it away" !!!! i read this 30 years ago in a hospitality book ( an elderly lady giving advise to a messy newlywed ) and you are the first person i hear saying it since then- i haven't all that much implemented it over the years, getting better !!
Realising I prefer to do things before they need to be done and also prefer doing a little bit every day instead of weekend chores has changed my life.
I love how you do things during the week to have time to spend with your family. This is great , much needed advice for me. I also like how you clean as you go. I often wash the dishes and don’t put them away... like the laundry. This is SO what I needed to hear. Thank you for the great advice!
Done is better than perfect - is the best quote, for all who looking for perfection.(like me). I love your videos. You are keeping your small apartment really organised in a limited space.really inspiring! All your decor pieces is lovely!! Keep going!! ALL THE BEST...
love this! "homeless clutter" - yep! i definitely have some of this in my life. "do things whether they seem to need doing or not." OMGosh! MIND BLOWN!!! This will make such a difference for me. THANK YOU!!! :) :) :)
Your tips are right on the money. As far as the statement regarding perfectionism it is so true. I was frozen for the longest time because I didn't have time to do it it "right" and I lived in chaos and was so stressed as a result. I can't not say something about you ironing T-shirts though. Is that some of the perfectionism peeking through? ;-)
Denise Holloway hahaha no they are work T-shirts and I work for a company that supports returned and serving service veterans, so I am mindful of military standards 😅 I’d happily wear leggings and a sweatshirt everyday if I could!!! Although I do iron my tea towels which I’m sure is crazy to most people 🤣 but only the ones that hang on the oven 😂🙌🏻😂
Very practical advice that feels like should have come with life's user manual. Oh wait.. Where is that manual?? Must have misplaced it in all the mess.. ;)
My husband always turned his t shirts etc outside right and it saved me soooo much time when doing laundry. I asked him who taught him to do that and coming from a family of 5 kids... his Mom did. I always appreciated he did that. What a time saver!!
Haha love it although I don’t think I’ve ironed more than one or two work shirts for important video calls throughout the last 8 weeks....it’s going to be tough when school goes back Monday and we are back to uniforms!!!
Funny how it's so relaxing to watch someone else clean! I love that braided ball pillow and the water jugs with the spigot to hold the liquid detergents! I'm going to copy that idea.
10.Done is better than perfect! “Putting of cleaning and tidying your home because you think you don’t have the time to do it perfectly will leave you living in constant chaos” This was the message I needed to hear! My OCD strangely stops me from doing it unless I have the time to do it perfectly.
Excellent video because it includes all the essentials and for us many perfectionists, "Done is better than perfect" stops us from build up and procrastinating that robs us of our weekends. Thank you "Sunday Stylist"! and Thank you to "It's Helga" for listing the points and where to find them on the video. Wishing you all a kind and more organised holiday season!
Great video. I watched it twice! One of your tips hit home for me, 'do it till its done'! I find I rarely complete the task. I am sucker for immediate gratification, so if it's 'almost' done, I turn to the next thing. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I thought it was only me but obviously you have gone through this and rectified this now. So there is hope for me..... Lol Lovely home, by the way.
The two best tips for me is to have less stuff to clean and change my mindset. I have a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood that I get to clean.
The Sunday Stylist is by far my favorite company for cleaning. I've watched these videos soo many time. Very great way of thinking when it comes to your approach to cleaning. Thanks ah mil!
I love the idea that if you've lost something, the first place you look for it is where you should probably store it from now on. That's actually a useful tip that I haven't heard of before!!
I love how you get right into it instead of talking about yourself for 10 to 20 minutes. Thank-you.

I love when parents get their kids involved in cleaning the house. All my kids help out even our 2.5-year-old. It is so important to teach the next generation how to keep a tidy home.
And kids actually like to help at that age. When all do their part, there's more time to go to the park together!

"Done is better than perfect." Is memorable for all of us worn out perfectionists. Thank you. I enjoyed your video :) Blessings to you
Absolutely!!! I have to remind myself all the time still 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Lol seriously
"Perfectionism is the perfect lie"
Sooooo true.....We are very lucky just to have a home to clean / look after. So many people do not.
"Done is better than perfect", this will be my new cleaning motto. Thank you for this video!
Same here!
Omg love seeing your son cleaning! Good job, mom! It is everyone’s home and all need to help! I totally agree with never going to bed with a mess or dishes in the sink! Your day starts with a smile!!
"Just a simple change of mindset helps you look forward to cleaning". I need to hear that; thank you!
Watched this within the last few days of 2019, hopefully foreshadowing my new habits for 2020. Probably has the potential to be one of the most transformative videos I've seen on TH-cam.
I feel like this was such a good, concise video. I’ve watched a lot of cleaning videos, but this breaks things down well, and isn’t too long.
Chidiya79 I felt the same way
me too, this is actually the only cleaning video that made me want to clean my house after watching it lol
Just put all the towels together lol
I loved your apartment with the white kitchen, views from the kitchen is amazing ! ❤
Me too - it was a tiny apartment and incredibly hot with afternoon sun - I looked at the price to rent that apartment now is $850 per WEEK 😱
Thanks for that tip on asking oneself if “I would buy it again,” it’s a keeper. I’m going to use that as I go through my clutter. 🤗
Misunderstood Squirrel best tip!
I love watching videos like this, while I sit in my filthy overstuffed house.
MoonSpinners I took five years to go from bursting at the seams to just the right amount of stuff.. the great thing now is that there’s so much inspiration available 💫🙌🏻💫 thanks for watching 🙏🏻
MoonSpinners 🤣
THE SUNDAY STYLIST ...thank you for your reply, I confess to being stuck in a rut with my so called decluttering, but watching your videos is giving me that kick up the backside I need to get going again. The problem is, I get too comfortable watching you do all the work! 😂
🤣🙋🏽♀️
😁
I feared you would say: “Does this item make me happy or not?”.... but you said “Would i buy it again?” ... better
Spiegelvoorelkaar yes!!! It’s unrealistic in my opinion. This made me feel so much better
If I went through my clothes and asked, "does it make me happy?" I would have almost nothing to wear.
I go one step further with “would I buy it again,” replacing it with “could I buy it again,” and then if yes - toss.
Spiegelvoorelkaar correction the standard question is does this item spark joy 😁
I live by the 6 month rule, if I haven't used it for that amount of time I get rid of it. Maybe it's just me but I've come to find duplicates of something a waste of time and space. When reasonable I get rid of duplicates or invest in higher quality items in order to get rid of multiple items.
I love the storage shelves. I have a hard time figuring out how to store so many items.
If I got rid of my husband I could have a clean and tidy house too LOL!
Suger Babe I’m with you on that one.
@@vanessan7serrato208 so true
For me it would be my kids
Don't clean up after your husband. He has hands
Nonhlanhla Pinzi the thing is, my stress level depends largely on how my house is. It’s my haven and I’m not letting my husband ruin that for me. He’s learning though :)
The best tip of all was when you mentioned being grateful for having the space & stuff to keep clean. Thank you for the tips & motivation!
I appreciate your last tip: done is better than perfect. This sounds like avoiding procrastination or excuses to postpone things! 👍
I love how you get your sons to take their part in cleaning and tidying up the house 💕
"Would you buy this again?" excellent!
Be sure to hit that like button if you'd love more de-cluttering, cleaning and organizing videos :)
Im glad to find ur channel. New suby! Check my channel out as well.
Yes ! More , please !
I like some of the aspects of minimalism e.g not hanging on to things you never use...but I like our home to feel cosy and inviting and like people actually live in it ❤💫❤
finally a video with original advice on how to keep your place tidy and not a repetition of the same 5 tips that everybody already knows. thank you!
100% it is the most important to have an attitude of gratitude 💫🙌🏻💫
@@The-Sunday-Diaries I agree!!!❤️❤️
let me tell you de-cluttering is the best thing I ever did. Thanks!
Simple mindSET live guest ready... the body just follows... and everything has a home/place put it there first ❤️❤️❤️🙏
You're kinda like the mom I've always wanted but never had.
I agree...'Less is everything' and 'clean as you go'!!
Absolutely!!!🙌🌟🙌
Thank you for sharing this. It has changed my life! I now enjoy tidying up and occasionally I get little help from my 2 year old which thinks that tidy up, or ta da as he calles it, is a game. I’m totally inspired, so is my husband! Words cannot describe how grateful we are for your video!
Thanks for sharing!! I love the ta-da!!! and also that you get your 2yo involved - great habits start early xxx thanks for watching 💫❤🙌
I appreciate your rule "do less more often" thanks dear for sharing such a nice video, stay blessed 📝🌿
Just the tips/hacks I needed. Will be rewatching many times until I master these. Thank You!!
8:36 what a wonderful and grateful way of thinking
@@zzevonplant you are so sweet... The way you think.. God bless you ♡ merry christmas

I am with you, nothing feels better than waking up to a clean kitchen and make yourself a nice cup of coffee
That's been my method to not iron but then my partner thinks I need to take up ironing?
I truly never ever iron lol. If it looks like it will need ironing I won't even buy it
And if you think it has to ironing. Than hang that tshirt on the closet when it is still a little bit wet after you shake it 2-3 times. Seems like ironed. My cousin have a ill child and need to be smart by home things so I learned from her.
Whoah whoah whoah who irons their t-shirts?? This is a whole other level. I iron maybe once a year if there is no other option. 😂😂

I couldn't agree more!!! I wish I had done it sooner and quicker but I am so happy to have less of EVERYTHING 🙌 thanks so much for watching 🌟
SO GLAD TO SEE THE KIDS HELPING OUT!! Very important.

Her house looks great btw. Simple colours, proper amount of plants and decorations, not too busy on the eye.
We'll see. 😊 Thx!
The laundry detergent in the beverage dispenser is a great idea. "Put it away, not down" will be my motto this week.
I’ve always done most of this naturally, but not to that extent. Your place is very cute! Good for you for teaching your kids!
Thank you!!! I am definitely going to make sure my boys will never be a man-child 😅
My favourite is clean as you go. It makes it so much easier. Also the short evening routine. It’s something I’ve started doing and it really does make things a lot easier.
Yes! It is way easier to keep things clean as you go instead of letting a huge mess build up :) thanks so much for watching!
This is so helpful. Thank you!! I always feel so resentful when I am cleaning. I will try to implement these habits in the new year!
Storing glasses in a flower vase? Now that is just brilliant!!🙀
Gray Glider Girl I agree!!!!
Thank you
It is honestly one of the best things I have EVER done, good luck with your move 💖💫💖
The struggle is real... We moved this past Dec, even though we went from a small 2bed/1 bath apt to a 4bed/2bath home, we still declutter and have plenty to sell (at a garage sale or online)...
You are such a great mom teaching your boys to help around the house , your house looks wonderful .
Wow, refreshing and unique content! Finally, someone who talks about the BEHAVIOR of cleaning, instead of the “hack” of putting essential oils in a toilet roll to help the bathroom smell “fresh”.
I have to say the tips regarding the towels are totally life changing !! thanks for the advice

My issue also! We moved in our new home last Dec and I kept on top of laundry and dishes - till about Valentine's Day... I'm getting back on track!
She would say ask these questions:
do you like it, love it, is it useful?
Or is it taking space and something you don’t want to be caught dead with? LOL. Thank you for all of your practical and organized suggestions. I am sharing this! Thank you!
I love what you said right before habit number 9. You try to appreciate that you have all these things to clean. You are very fortunate and do have a beautiful home. Thank you for the video.
“A place for everything and everything in its place”. I saw that quote on a piece of Torquay pottery! Love that quote! ❤️
I just started my decluttering journey. This was great to see! I can tell you’re a really hard worker!
Instead of discarding clothes you can't donate, give them to stores that recycle like h&m. You'll get a discount in return 😊
"don't put it down, put it away" !!!! i read this 30 years ago in a hospitality book ( an elderly lady giving advise to a messy newlywed ) and you are the first person i hear saying it since then- i haven't all that much implemented it over the years, getting better !!
Realising I prefer to do things before they need to be done and also prefer doing a little bit every day instead of weekend chores has changed my life.

Must have misplaced it in all the mess.. ;)

Shira Z. Carmel - every time I learn the hard way, I really think about writing volume 1! 🙂
My husband always turned his t shirts etc outside right and it saved me soooo much time when doing laundry. I asked him who taught him to do that and coming from a family of 5 kids... his Mom did. I always appreciated he did that. What a time saver!!
I am NOT the only person that irons T-shirts and Polo's !!!!!! LOVE IT!
Haha love it although I don’t think I’ve ironed more than one or two work shirts for important video calls throughout the last 8 weeks....it’s going to be tough when school goes back Monday and we are back to uniforms!!!
This was so motivating! Thank you! We’re moving right now and I’m all for getting rid of the clutter.

Lol
