My Dad, Jack McKinney from Sun Lakes Az actually built this plane. He is 97 years old now and still builds and flys planes. This one was one of his favorites for sure.
Indeed he did! And what a great job he did! Jack and I met at the show (which was a goal of my trip), and he had a chance to have a seat in his (now modified) creation :-) I have a few pics of the meet-up I could email you if interested.
This would be my perfect plane if it could only be just a bit bigger to accomodate night flying equipment and retractable gear, even manually retractable with a lever ala ending of "Dunkirk". Then how about a 2 seater in single file. Just a bit bigger.....
What a sexy plane! I love the mirrored metal look
Those take a LOT of hours of polishing to keep looking good. -Dan

Jeanie Sharp your dad is amazing! How old was he when he build this plane? Example to aging people, you don’t have to sit down and wait to die!
I sure hope I can be like your Dad!!
Something okay

How much Power motor (HP)?, Thanks!
I’m not the owner, but I do know that this plane is powered by a 1/2 V/W engine. They typically produce between 28 and 45 horsepower.
love it !!
Beware Jet Blast, heha!!
