A vergance is a nexus in the force. The only time it has been a person is Anakin. Headland made it a point in an interview to say that the girls are not a vergance themselves, but a vergance was used by the witches to create them. It appears, and this is just my guess, that the hole they are standing around is the vergance, or contains the vergance.The tree that Luke goes into on Dagobah is a vergance. It just means a place that is particularly strong with the Force.
Qui Gon tells the Council that he has encounterd a vergence in the force. He also tells them about a mysterious worrior he believes could only be a Sith Lord. Mace Windu asked if the vergence is centerd around a person. Qui Gon tells him about the boy and his midiclorean count. Mace says bring him before us then. All happends in the council chamber, when they return from Naboo. It's the first time we see the council and the same scene where Ki Adi Mundi says, the Sith have been gone for a thousand years. Mace says he dosen't belive the Sith could return without them knowing. The Phantom Menace.
It's going to end in one of two ways, either it's a two hour finale or they go the She-Hulk route of basically admitting they were fucking with everyone the whole time. I'm placing my bets on the latter being the case.
It's going to end with them trying to paint the Jedi as the bad guys the entire season yet the Horny mother will end up being the Sith master and the coven of witches are dark force users. Shills are going to have to figure that one out to keep the Jedi are bad meme going.
It will end like Ahsoka. At first more boring time, than all at once and finally a stupid cliffhanger that will never get a solution.
They backed themselves into a corner.
They wanted to make the jedi look bad, but then they put females in positions of leadership. So, they couldn't make the jedi look too bad that it will make the female jedi look bad.
That's why you get this lukewarm bad jedi plot.
Yeah, it's really weird. You have a female Jedi who generally just.... takes a tough love approach to guiding her Padawan... then suddenly takes a smotheringly maternal approach to Osha..... after having previously wanted to just leave her on Brindok?
@@marhawkman303 the motivations of their characters are just all over the place. I've seen better character development in a wattpad story than this POS.
@@rickrollrizal yeah it's like the motives change to suit the scene, and are thus malleable. It'd work if it was a character trait, but not when it's EVERYONE.
The constant damage control shows they know its bad. No other project is getting this much "explanation" after the fact. Her pretending not to know about the Ki Adi Mundi complaints was so fake.
The outro song on this episode was the absolute distillation of mediocrity that the Acolyte is.
in babylon5 the first encounter between the minbari and the humans (who know nothing of each other before this point) ends in disaster because the minbari think opening their gun ports is a sign of respect that here are our weapons we mean you no harm. the humans do not inerpret it that way. but mind fucking a jedi and going full smoke monster is not some misunderstood gesture. both groups are human or have been around humans long enough to know that is not a peaceful gesture.
Excuse me, sir. I believe it was a "sword" that began that war.
But you are spot on. Watching this whole thing play out, all I could think about was how the Minbari War started, especially from the way it was depicted in "A Late Delivery from Avalon".
@@Uzarran The Minbari war got started because the races literally didn't understand each other. This doesn't have that. In fact, the witches talk quite a lot about what they expect when meeting Jedi. It's not a "misunderstanding"... they're deliberately antagonizing the Jedi.
@@marhawkman303 I'm referring to the episode "A Late Delivery from Avalon", where a character who was present for that event has PTSD that manifests as him believing he is King Arthur.

The thing is that they succeeded to make it even more crap, we have to give them props where it's due, that's impressive 👏😂
Master Sol witnesses Anaseya use her abilities in an aggressive fashion twice before the fateful stabbing: 1) Anaseya uses her abilities on the twins knocking them down, 2) Anaseya uses her abilities to mindrape Torbin. Sol witnesses Anaseya using her abilities once again making it seem like 'Osha' (Mae) was being vaporized. Sol has no reason to believe what Anaseya is doing is benign. Regardless of who Sol thought Mae was at the time, he thought he was saving a child's life (which, ironically, he does at the end afterall - Osha).

I did think about the “trans allegory” thing but I was like no way I must be crazy… however:
- the whole episode is about the mother telling asking what they want
- they say they can change their mind at any point as they grow up but they need to do what feels right
- the witches saying the societies don’t accept them
- the jedi being like this is the way you should think
- they have been saying how gay the show is and Headland saying she wrote the part of Mei/Osha to an activist

This show is a demonstration of mass psychological operations, specifically the _Alice in Wonderland Technique._ It's a CIAduh psychological torture technique from the 1960's; look it up, completely consistent.
I doubt the show runners have such info
I take back everything bad I said about Batwoman and all those other CW shows. I would rather watch Batwoman 100 times than to watch The Acolyte one time.
So Mae's really gonna shank Sol then, he just told her he killed her mum and left her to die to save her sister cos he thought her sister was the 'good one'...if ever you need more motivation...🤦🏻♀️
Mae ends up back on the Island with Osha and Qimir, and then her evil mum appears too as some Sith Lord with a name ending in 'Ous'.

Probably mentioned below, but cant be bothered to check. But yes Qui-Gon DID mention Anakin as a 'vergence' in the Force. "I believe I may have encountered a Vergence in the Force. A young boy with the highest midi-chlorian i have ever seen in a life form" To which Yoda replies; "A vergence you say."
The mother's terrible parenting advice and terrible decision making during a situation of pressure (which they provoked), lead to the events. what were we supposed to take away from this? lesbians are bad parents? lol
The Republic is 25,000 years old. The Jedi Order is even older. They could have created new characters in a timeline that no one has ever seen before, but instead, they choose 100 years before A New Hope and crap all over Star Wars continuity.
The Acolyte could have been good. Witches versus Jedi could have been a fun story. From what I’ve seen, the writers don’t know anything about Jedi or witches.
The Crapolyte may be a complete mess but at least these guys can make it funny. 😂
This Shows biggest Mystery box went open and we found nothing but black smoke on a pile of missunderstandings on both sides. And the whole Show will just end with a stupid cliffhanger and then forgotten withing 5 days.
The only thing people remember will be that 'a Woman did it first', the Twins came before Anakin and the fight of Jedi and Sith over the power of the Twins came also before the fight over Anakin. Which is the same playbook as shown in StarTrek and Doctor Who. Finally, the same song and dance as in every other geek-related Franchise that gest corrupted for moidern audiences.
No matter how bad the show is, and it’s awful, you can’t admit that the last episode is the most highly anticipated tv show of 2024. How will this end and what disappointing cliff hanger ( that will never be answered because season 2 will never exist) will be given to us.

There is no character development. In fact it’s soo bad even the characters in the show can’t tell the difference between May and Osha. What’s the difference? They are played the same by the same type of actress.
Nothing about this episode has convinced me that the Jedi did anything wrong.
Not defending the show, but from Sol's first impression he's watching that little Psycho Mae, terrorize a small critter using Force powers. Trash show, but trash writers, producers. I'm certain most of the directors were just happy to have a job lol.
