does the barrel crush the darts because I did a brass barrel and it was a great performance then it started to quickly drop off. I switched back to the old barrel and the darts just were so slow out of the barrel and the drop was much more than stock. The darts had a pertinent crush on them and I want to know the longer-term performance of darts. run the same darts through 40 times and see if it makes a difference

Being a person only really interested in hvz and 130-150 fps cap games, you wouldn't think I would be interested in this channel, but because of your very professional and new modder friendly nature I find quite a lot of enjoyment in your vids despite no desire to join this part of the hobby. I'm getting about 170 fps average with the stock spring with mine. I also tried it with the Turf spring and was getting about a 220 or so average. This is without any other mods done so far.

Hey I recently put the aluminum priming bar and plunger tube set in with my nexus that I put this kit in already. Man does it ever make higher spring loads easier to prime and makes everything sturdier. Both kits combined costs more than 2 nexus pros but I think it worth it for anyone that wants to truly primary a nexus. I would recommend from what I experienced is lube every single moving part because there were plastic shaving everywhere. I definitely wanna see you review the full set up. These kits together are the best transformation to a nexus in my eyes. I've been through all the mods. Oh with a drac metal trigger too. Definitely completes it.
I installed both worker metal kits along with many other small upgrades on my nexus pro and hit 350 fps with a very big 3d printed spacer I designed myself and a upgraded spring
The Nexus is such a great platform. An even cheaper mod was simply replacing the spring with a Ceda/Nexus spring from Foam Freaks. Immediately started seeing 200fps with just that cheap and easy of a mod.

Literally everything about the priming system is trash. Its guaranteed to break, and you'll have to spend all this money on what is essentially a kids toy.
Just installed mine with a 12KG spring and spacer. It keeps blowing apart my worker darts (the glow in the dark ones). I removed my o-rings to get the plastic piece back onto the breach.
You plan on doing a review of the worker prime bridge chamber kit they have since then released for the NP? I got mine in this last weekend went to install, and the plunger fits in too loose from what I can tell, so I tried the ole Teflon tape around it till the plunger felt like it was catching just enough to seal but still move freely (because if you didn't Teflon it there was literally no seal it felt like, atleast on mine) and upon firing the prime is ubsurd and very crunchy, I'll have to take it back down and try less Teflon I presume, but ultimately I always enjoy your insight and highligjts on the kits and maybe I can finally see how to get this thing to feel like a dream.
If I shot someone in a local nerf war with these mods, I would probably get in some trouble. It's amazing to see how well this plaster performs, I can't wait to get one!
how accurate is it though. I have Nerf Fornite which fire Mega dart too and the flying path is all over the place beyond 15 feet. We use short dart for a obvious reason which is accuracy.
Great foam blaster channel, this is the sort of content we need, no BS, great stats (fcuking love the stats), not shilling for nerf or constantly throwing out hints to their online foam shop that just sells unnecessary cosmetic junk. I recently installed this kit and I believe the inconstant FPS readings are down to the inconsistency with AF pro darts, some fit snugly in the Worker barrel, others too tight. The Worker Gen3s seem to come out at a more consistent FPS.

As for Nerf I don't mind it, good ones shoot further and straighter than any gel blaster so they fill the role of sniper. But gel blasters dominate up close for sure.
If you dont mind can you share the best perform gel ball brand you ussually used for your gel blaster? i have an issue with accuracy test when i used golden milky gel ball in jingji slr.

Hi Bradley, AKBlasterMod has just released a second metal kit for the Nexus Pro. It includes a metal priming bar, a metal catch plate, a metal air chamber and a metal mag release lever. This kit combined with the kit mentioned here in the video and a 16 kg spring makes the Nexus Pro an absolute powerhouse. I am getting an average of 250, 260 fps now. The kit is available in silver and red and costs 50 usd. Highly recommend.

Nice video! I have that same worker kit. With a OOD 175 tuning cap and I used some Teflon tape on the barrel where it gets bolted into the gate, I get an average 198-210 with brand new pro darts.
If you play nerf at around 300fps (which is paintball speeds), I can see why you think full length darts are trash. Here in the US, many organized nerf wars cap speeds anywhere between 130 and 150 fps as kids are often welcome and play beside adults, and in places like public parks. So, not much more than eye pro is worn. I've been hit it the kidney before by a caliburn accidentally triggered at around 20ft and 200fps with short darts. OUCH! Worse than getting bunkered in the kidney at 300fps in paintball.
I bought a Nexus Pro this week to join in the office warfare that has recently developed with people returning from work from home. What lubricant should I use to keep the slide actions consistent and protect the components? Dry spray silicone?
I think that a better bang for your buck is just put a spring spacer, it would allow 175 fps without a new barrel and there is no taking the blaster apart. this kit is really for people who want that extra little bit of performance, and for a kit that costs this much ( a brass barrel is less than 5 dollars) is a bit much. A CNC top rail is a bit much, an injection mold plastic part would do just fine and make it much cheaper. I wish they made things like a reinforced trigger mechanism for robustness and longevity because their parts are super well made. Maybe even adding bracers along the inside side of the blaster to make it a bit more rigid when priming.

Luke from out of darts recommends not using the 175 tuning cap with the turf or worker upgrade spring. I gotta say I agree. Trying it out makes for a crazy prime, and feels brutal on the blaster. I assume you’re just using a smaller spacer?

How can the length of a scar barrel affect the performance of different lengths of darts: Long scar vs. half and full length darts; short scar vs. half and full length darts? Of course, the kind and brand of darts would be a constant, unless you test it on the most widely used darts in the hobby (AF Waffles vs. AF Pro darts vs. DZ Bamboos vs. Worker Gen 3). Thanks.
I don't use full length darts because they aren't as good as half length darts, but I imagine being longer you'd want less scar barrel to achieve the same amount of spin.

The Turf CEDA spring is a really heavy prime. I think for most people stick with the spacer and stock spring.

You could easily apply a lot of this to your HvZ games simply with shorter barrels and weaker springs

I’ve done everything I can think of and I still can’t get a thumb over the barrel pull the trigger release the pop air seal.

It's performing very well without one, a scar will of course tighten the groupings even further though so I'd suggest using one.

Add 20fps. If you buy a Nexus Pro in Australia though it comes with the spacer, hence why I used that.

Generally you don't want lube in the actual barrel. Just on the o'rings.
was thinking something like how Chris Kartaya uses pledge to lessen friction, maybe lubricating was the wrong term.
So, because the barrel is longer with the barrel extension, isn’t that just more space for the darts to bounce around inside of it and slow down?
No because on actually good blasters the barrel is tight on the darts. There is no "bouncing around"

Waiting for Out of Darts to get the kits in stock. They’ve received a shipment and mentioned that the kits were in one of the shipments. Hoping to mod my nexus with the metal parts.

How can the length of a scar barrel affect the performance of different lengths of darts: Long scar vs. half and full length darts; short scar vs. half and full length darts? Of course, the kind and brand of darts would be a constant, unless you test it on the most widely used darts in the hobby (AF Waffles vs. AF Pro darts vs. DZ Bamboos vs. Worker Gen 3). Thanks.
I don't use full length darts because they aren't as good as half length darts, but I imagine being longer you'd want less scar barrel to achieve the same amount of spin.

I'm getting 240+ with a brass barrel and stretched out ceda spring.
You must use fresh darts tho so don't leave ur mags full for extended times.
CEDA spring is getting around 220 with this kit
Could you try some other springs with this kit like 25N, 28N, and the turf ceda spring?
The owner of the red one tested the Turf CEDA spring and got 220fps
You said you have a metal priming bar as well for the second kit- Did it come. With it or did you buy one? If so where?

I can only imagine the power I’d get with that spring, a spacer, and this kit.
With just the Turf spring you're looking at 220fps

What’s the difference between Ceda Turf spring and Nexus Pro Turf spring?
Which one should I choose?
Nexus Pro one is likely a little wider to fit over the plunger which with the Turf spring would need to be shaved down a little to fit it

Good video mate and thankz for moding the nexus pro for us we have put that one in our hire blaster collection for players to try out and to hire out, Brandon used it at our last event when he was a mersoney up in the top of the tower for the domination game mode and was very impressed with it. Yes, any for a 16mm diameter barrel will work

I like the kit but honestly, I think the spacer is putting in all the work!
With the length of the barrel it's really optimised for the spacer or stronger springs such as the Turf CEDA spring which shoots around 220fps
How long was the spacer?
