I've watched lots and lots of videos of people trying to playing this solo and you are the closest to slash so far. Great job man.

Few TAB corrections (if I may :) ):
- measure 136: penultimate note needs to be 12 on G, not 15 on B, and the final note lacks a bend (14 on the G string)
- measure 142: the first note is an 8th, not a 16th, and the following three notes should be a triplet
Other than that, terrific job! It may not be 100% precise as Slash plays it, but it sounds phenomenal and it's very easy to follow!

Why is anyone who can play guitar talented, i mean he knows it, but its no Holy shit moment, gotta love beginners. I play this and taught myself in 92 can't be that hard, guy good he can play great so can a million other people.

This is by far the most in depth lesson out there for this solo. Ethan....you did a wonderful job on this lesson. I just wish I would have found it earlier when I was first learning it. As far as the 169 dislikes....that must have been from the ones that couldn't do it.

first of all, i know it doesnt sound like that but im playing the entire solo on my bridge pickup ( some dimarzio high gain pickup forgot its name...)..
besides that, im using my marshall jcm 800 head (master and pre amp on 10)
and im using 2 effects:
1. some lexicon reverb plugin
2. my fulltone clyde deluxe wha wha pedal
but the real "secret" is that my wha wha pedal is turned on the entire video lesson and only when the second solo part goes in im just pushing it down..

Pretty happy with the lesson, I learned quite a bit from it and it was easy to understand what is going on, but not easy to play it anyway :D As a total beginner I must say I've learned quite a bit cool stuff here.

Very good video and lesson to the guy that made this thanks so much . I nailed the first part till 6:19 . Very hard to learn but its totally worth it such a iconic solo
Even though I already know the solo, the fact that Ethan posted the scales that the solo are based around make things a whole lot more fun (and easier) to play... so long as you learn the scale, you should be able to fart around on it to add your own flaver/improv to the solo.. just hit the signature licks and you're awesome.

At 19:50 you say to use you pinky and I've heard other teachers say use your ring finger for this note and then use your middle finger for the g string bend. I watched videos of Slash and you are right, he does use his pinky for this lick.

Tom Ya Koz its called ‘Wah’ and you use a Wah Pedal for it
Wah pedal and reverb pedal is very useful!! Also buy a distortion or fuzz
