Do you think the default smartphone mount is good? Or should I get another Ulanzi smartphone mount (ST-17) and mount it on this MT-34?

Smartphone mount is good and tightly fit any phone, it comes with spring tight. Overall, I think It's best for vlogging. If you use while driving then screw type mount is the best option because it's more secure and tight accordingly. Thanks for watching

Thanks for visit. I've been using it with my mobile which is around 260g. If you use first 3 0r 4 extensions with 500g it will be fine otherwise slightly bend on full extend however, it's great product for vlogging😀

Thanks for the visit. It can hold upto 500gm. if you have under 500gm DSLR then yes but it might be slightly bend on full extension.
