    Do you know how appreciative I am for this video??!! I was ready to buy a brand new system!! 15 minutes later, I had a working filter/pump. THANK YOU SO MUCH for saving me $300-$400!!!

      Glad it helped! I have done this a couple times sadly as water intrusion affects the adapter over time.

      You are welcome! I was in the same position when I figured this out. I've actually had to do it multiple times now since I kept forgetting to waterproof everything.

    Thanks so much! Thought I was being smart putting my GFCI on my Intex Saltwater System in a rigged up plastic container- until I forgot to close the lid and it got rained on... you just saved me $100+ for a new system and a big tantrum!!

    Worked perfectly! Plugged my system in from the year before and found the reset light wasn't going on, saw some water in it too. After opening it up to swap, found there was a lot of water in it, replacement worked like a charm. Thanks!

    Thanks a lot, worked for me. Got lucky found an old hot tub pump with the exact GFI connector.
    The price of a new pump is insane.

    Thank you... will try this! Mine went bad after a huge rainstorm and the unit is not old, so this is probably the problem.

    I usually make a plexiglass Box. And just cover all electrical connection. Even a plastic bowl or Tupperware. You can find big ones and just place upside-down on exposed connections gfci switches or buttons.

      I've had to do that recently and works like a charm. Except I get ant hills all the time near them.

    Any suggestions on how to replace the FUSE ... Replaced our outlet but realized that the larger fuse is blown and it is soldered to the circuit board since we dont have a soldering gun....

    Thank you very much for your informative video. I’m far from handy, but I took your advice and purchased a replacement GFCI at Lowe’s (the exact Tower one you referenced) and it worked like a charm.
    Unfortunately, two days later, the ‘Service’ light appeared on the Intex system and I can’t figure out how to resolve the problem. I took the unit apart and scrubbed all parts with a toothbrush and vinegar, put it back together (fixing a leaky fitting I found during the process) and there was no change. The unit starts up normally, stays on for roughly two minutes, but ultimately shuts off when the ‘Service’ light comes on again. Any suggestions for this issue?

    Ok, I changed the GFCI plug end and now my pump works, but I have no display lights on my pump control board/panel. My Intex saltwater sand pump is ECO20110-2. Any ideas???

    If you’re plugging into a gfi outlet can you just remove this?

  • @patburt9558
    @patburt9558 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm curious why instead of cutting the cord and stripping the wire, why didn't you just remove the 4 screws from the lower cover, loosen the terminal screws (that were already terminated with blade connectors)? would've been a 5 minute fix.

    (clears throat )Dude, you’re worried about Insuring a water-tight seal for the terminals in your new purchase but you have all the equipment plugged into an orange T adapter exposed to the elements running on what looks to be an orange undersized
    2 wire extension cord w/a ground adapter?
