look how happy some smooth ground and a few ledges makes most skaters, i think cities that want to make a skatepark but dont have the budget should use this as an example and learn that skateparks dont always have to be huge concrete ramps (deathtraps if you cheap out and have them made people who dont understand skating) look at this park, rosa parks skate plaza in san francisco and cherry park skatepark in long beach. skaters love those parks and theyre just simple obstacle on a smooth concrete pad

Exactly what I was thinking. The skate plazas appeal to rail skaters as well, a little flatbar would be perfect. I remember wanting to step up my handrail skating when I was like 15, i was skating the 7-9 stair rails near my house, but then there was only hugeee handrails, nothing in between. it was before I could drive and rob dyrdeks first skate plaza had opened up. That one looked amazing! What ever happened to that place? I don’t see footage of it ever. Unless I do and just don’t recognize it. It was in Kettering Ohio from what I remember. It had like every obstacle imaginable. And different sizes of those obstacles. But of course for a little plaza like this just a flatbar added would be perfect

This is awesome if you are a ledge/manny skater. I'd argue, though, that other kinds of obstacles are also desirable, if they are designed well. There are many kinds of skateboarders in the world.

@@fdggfgdfgd251 the whole point of this park is that it feels like a street spot... I'm sure they have other more "traditional" skateparks near there with transition. But this is what a lot of people want now a days, me included lol. I'd love to have a skatepark just like this, all ledges, manny pads, etc. Technical street skating type of skatepark
