Is it true seat scamming with tourists are common in Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kaghmandu oute.
Bus conductors force foreign passengers to accept back seat even after confirmed seat number to give local passengers extra facility?

@@JumpingPlaces Yes, a few restaurants and not much lodging at all...we camped by the lake in our VW bus and spent about 10 days there, the most beautiful clouds I ever saw were there...everyone was in awe and a lot of very high people on mushrooms. The road to Kathmandu was very narrow...thanks so much for the memory...I love you guys...are you getting tired, Wow you are really doing it all the way!

I visited Nepal recently myself. When travelling from Pokhara to Kathmandu I flew with Buddha air to save time. I think the flight was about 30 mins and it cost about $70. Something to consider if you are travelling back to Kathmandu and want to avoid traffic

Road and traffic is an increasing problem in Nepal. The highway was built more than 40 years ago by King Mahendra. But after the massacre of last king the country began to downfall due to corruption. And still the Highway is not repaired and build at all. But now Chinese are building a wide road to Pokhara so it's going to be good hopefully. Hope you enjoyed the time in Nepal and hope you will visit again and next time you visit the Himalayan region. Stay safe

@@makadoxvsdk9530 This journey brings many happy memories for me. I travelled KTM to PKR on this Prithvi Rajmarg many times over the last 40 years. It is named after King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the Ghorkali founder of modern Nepal. Last time I travelled was in 2017 and first time was in 1982 and the journey took 8 hours then - still today it can take 8 hours. One time it took 10 hours because of construction work and traffic jams. 🙂. Today some parts are better, but some are not - there was always construction and very bumpy sections on every journey I made. But the journey is still one of my favourite bus rides in the world. It was actually first opened in 1971, so now over 50 years old. One time I travelled in a big local bus - about 50 seats. It was very cheap (about NPRs50) but very uncomfortable because the seats were very small and just wooden seats with wooden backs. It was all local passengers and no other tourists. But the experience was still worth it. If you can book your seat early, like a week in advance and get a seat at the front it will be so much more comfortable. I'm planning on returning to Nepal in February 2023 for 3 months, so I will travel this road again as I have friends in KTM and Dharke and PKR 🙂

Interesting your are showing views I never saw in Pokhara, must have changed a lot, too. - We always stayed in small guest houses along the lake side, very basic, and the bus, well, to say the least, very basic as well! The tallest mountain behind the lake is called Machapuchre, it was my morning view right from the window of one of the guesthouses I stayed, been there at least 4 times!

I first visited Nepal in 1982. Kathmandu and Pokhara have changed SO SO much since then. No small guest houses on Lakeside now. First guest house I stayed in was Snowland Lodge. Just 4 rooms. No electricity, no glass in the windows, only one cold water shower, but I absolutely loved it. I felt I was in heaven as I could hear the owners cow right outside my window at night. 🙂 Sadly Pokhara has now lost some of it's charm and attraction for me, but is still VERY beautiful and I will visit again in a few months. 🙏

Second, when you pointed out a hotel look like a temple, we stayed first night in that brick color hotel. We also visited Devil's fall, and Gupteshwar Mahadev. And at the end, you mentioned a resort hotel in middle of lake, we stayed there one night. That was awesome place to stay. Pokhara is most beautiful city on Nepal.

Good show. I read that if you drink water, you’ll want to go pp. If you have a few swallows of Gatorade it should be enough. Don’t eat salty or sweet foods, you won’t get thirsty.

Can you please tell the bus company name?

FYI anyone travelling this route soon, there is almost no tarmac road so the journey is about 9 hours and extremely bumpy. You will want to take this luxury bus as we did, because you are constantly bumping out of your chair 😅

@@evelinholmes6401 we paid way more than the actual ride is worth still, keep in mind that in a lot of these countries you will be charged 4-5 times the actual price (this is actually a common tactic, charge super high so that even when the tourist haggles the price will still be high for them) They actually have a ride share app there which showed it was only 95 rupees for a 2-3 min ride but we paid 300 so he was more than happy for sure. We had been going a distance of 25 mins for 600-700 rupees the other days so there is no way 2-3 mins was going to be 400 rupees lol

Those coach buses are pretty much like our buses here in the Philippines. Aircon is so cold you need to bring a hoodie!
