I enjoy your Scottish parkrun videos.VIctoria Belfast was my first parkrun and Victoria Glasgow was my first Scottish parkrun. I have also done,Springburn,Greenock,Drumchapel, and Eglinton. I jump on my motorbike and get the early morning ferry from Belfast and nip up the road to Greater Glasgow to do a parkrun. Try to find a local swimming pool to freshen up after and then go for lunch before heading home.

Thanks Derek, glad to hear you enjoy the videos 😊 That sounds like a pretty cool way to do some parkrun tourism! What time is the ferry at? Must be quite an early start to the day! And is it Cairnryan you go to? If so, there’s a whole bunch up and down the Ayrshire coast you could do too 😃

Yeah its the 3.30 am Ferry which arrives in Cairnryan at 6 am.Its all down to timing really. Its two hours plus to Glasgow and that gives me plenty of time to get there.WHereas I could be hanging around Ayr or Girvan for a couple of hours before they start.Did Eglinton last time and really enjoyed it .Couple of the Glasgow ones I just arrived in the nick of time after getting lost.I look after my old mum who has alzheimers so can't do overnights away at present. For me though getting the boat over to Scotland and the ride up the ayrshire coast, doing a parkrun and going for a swim somewhere like.Gourock outdoor pool is a grand day out.Your videos give me a great insight into the parkruns and are also useful for seeing where people pqrk etc.Keep up the good work.

Great video. That was our wet weather course. The dry weather course is prettier.

Thanks 😊 Yeah, I’ve done the dry weather course a bunch of times. Just happened to be raining the day we came to do the video. I’ve been planning to come back and do an updated video on a nice day ☀️

Thinking 1886 would have been Queen Victoria's 50th (or even 49th) year on the throne rather than the centenary - comment from some random blok bingeing on your Scottish parkrun tour.

Yup you’re right! I got my stats a bit mixed up. It was 1887 it opened, and it was for Queen Victoria’s jubilee. I hope you’re enjoying the tour 😊
