You saved my wife's laptop. Not shown at 2:15 but there are a few ribbon cables that need to be undone from behind the keyboard. This repair is not for the faint of heart. Use an old credit card, or old plastic hotel room key to gently work around the outside of the keyboard cover, and back panel. My old CMOS batter was showing 2.5 volts. I gently removed the covering from the old CMOS battery, and using a razor blade and needlenose pliers to remove the wires from the old battery. Then I carefully taped the wires to a new CR2032 battery, stretching the electrical tape so the wires stay in contact. Be careful running the neg/black wire because the side of the battery is positive. Works perfectly now. Take your time with the connectors and ribbon cables. I broke the top of the jack the speaker wires go into, so be gentle.

Happened to me too - thanks for posting this video. Hard believe they'd make a computer that would become useless just because the memory backup battery got low! For mine I just used a holder for a CR2032 battery, used longer wires so that I could put in in an empty space inside the laptop.
