There's that saying in Fight Club..."the things you own end up owning you"
The one thing to consider with a massive 98" TV is that it becomes like a massive piece of equipment/furniture that you can't just easy move, get rid of, replace...etc. You can probably unload a 65" OLED on a used market but no one is buying that 98" TV in the future. You have to pay someone to take it.
So im not saying not to get that TV but realize it's not just about price or quality vs quality. Some guys have fun with installs but others may not like dealing with some of the things that come with the ownership of a TV that big. So just be cognizant before hitting the buy button that you will need to deal with moving this TV in the future and it's not like dealing with a smaller OLED.
This is still one of the reasons why I think projectors have a place in the future.

The bigger the tv the higher the source's bitrate needs to be. OLED is better for a larger tv.
Bitrate shows up in the clarity of distant faces needing more subtle information, OLED is better at this.

Ive learned more than 10 years ago that picture quality is better than size. My brother bought a panasonic plasma full hd 42" and I bought a samsung 51" "hd". And when i bought i thought 9" is a lot, and it is. But after every time i watched my tv and his it was such a big difference that ive learned my lesson. It's a tough one but I saw a 65 inch TV at an AirBnB that was the same distance as my 55 inch TV and it's quite overwhelming. The sofa was 11 feet away.

    • @techsamurai11
      @techsamurai11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@gosman949 Are you asking what the benefits were?
I can see the entire image of the field in my focal part of my eye which means I miss nothing.
The 65 inch TV is 40% larger but the 55 inch is 40% more detailed per pixel since content quality is the same. What my focal area sees is significantly better on a 55 inch than a 65 inch. Now if 65 inch TVs got 40% higher quality content, this would have been okay but content bitrate doesn't change based on TV size.
That plus the AirBnB had a cheap Samsung with all kinds of chromatic abberations and no Reality creation like a Sony so the field looked probably half as detailed and almost like the grass was artificial 🙂

Huge upgrade. As long as you have space and aren't 6' away, it should be awesome.

Size is king. Far too many people have TVs too small for their viewing distance.
Figure out what size screen you need for a 40 degree viewing angle then buy what you consider to be the best technology you can afford around that size.
Unless you're rich oleds are too small for anything except bedrooms or tiny living rooms. Heck 100" LCDs are probably too small for a lot of people's living spaces.
Once you hit around the 4000 bucks price range if you shop around you can get the AWOL 3000 pro and a fixed 120" screen.

@@airixxxx yea I’m not talking about the tv’s shown in the vid, we are trying to decide upon quality over size.
For you personally would you rather spend 2,900 on a 98in TCL or 4,000 on a 65in A95L?

It just depends on how much I can afford at the time of purchase. If I can afford the best then I’ll get that. If I can’t then I’ll get the best bang for my budget

The bigger you go in size the better quality tv you need because the big screen is going to show up the artifacts and poor quality in the picture even more.
