Early performances before they have access to all the fancy tools are always crazy impressive they’re all balancing like three instruments in every song, often playing two opposing melodies with different rhythms at the same time. absolutely nutty level of musicianship
@@chachaslide8943 the amount of looping they’re doing is crazy impressive. Keeping that many people in sync who are all layering multiple loops is very impressive.
It's such a thoughtful thing that the lead singer of a band, at the end of a half hour interview/performance, didn't let the mention of the "bus driver" rest without getting his name out there so he gets recognized for the work he contributes. This interview was great, and Dave is the nicest guy.
I didn’t know that their goal was to transport others to a new world. I said those words before I even knew that was the goal: they give a sound that’s so out of this world, that makes you feel like you’re the pool itself, the currents of the waters, or the winds in the air, and to discover that this was their goal all along- I love that. They hit their goal so damn hard.
Also the Hazey performance was fucking so good, the way he said some of the words were oddly ‘seductive’ or... raw? Or like... needy? AND 13:32 The guitar sounds so fucking good! 😍
Could not agree more. This whole album is so cohesive without feeling repetative, absolutely one of those best enjoyed from start to finish in one go. I first heard Zaba about 6 yeard ago and since then it's been one of my most replayed albums, probably every year. Its entrancing every single time
I think it was David Gilmour of Pink Floyd that said something along the lines of: "We use the same instruments as everyone else, we just use them differently." I think these guys are the same exact way
This radio DJ/Host is one of my favorites. I've watched/listened to so much music I sort of forget where I find stuff, but I always enjoy when TH-cam autoplays a music video and this guy is hosting. He always has a really natural report with the band, and asks them genuinely well thought out and insightful questions. Great job Audiotree. Also, this band is pretty good too; their cover of "Crazy" is good in addition to this session.
i absolutely wore this out in 2015. feels like forever ago. i've had the mp3s ripped on my ipod / phone since then. i still use these songs as my alarms. still think these are the best versions of these songs
I have seen this video so many times before. Today, I just came here to screen record that one Drew clip for making an edit and ended up watching the whole performance again.
@@andyfranklin1213 I haven't been quarantined at all bc of my job so I've worked thru it and lemme tell you people are boldddd rn. Showing their true colors at least.

the wide paranoid eyes, overusing hand gestures out of context, his dopey face, his abstract thoughts, creating his own narrative in his head while others are talking to him, only to say what was in his head all along, even if it's not related to the current course of conversation. Just look at him after the first song. He's either really high, or possibly autistic.
are wavey davey and babie drew married yet? is it just me who feels the LOVE between them. and absolute connection. makes me happy hearing their sweet sounds and watching 2 people vibing like THAT

They certainly do have the gift.
They’re just recording loops lol, it’s not that complex

I’ve been a fan for 7 years and this is the first time I’ve seen this performance. Literal tears. I miss this unique sound.

I can't stop listening to Glass Animals. I just got to move every time I hear one of their songs.
Not getting bored of playing this on repeat

i guess we gotta wait longer now. but i bet dreamland is gonna be a hit cuz heat waves did really well even tho it’s only been out for like a week
I feel like I'm dunking my french fries into my milkshake again for the very first time.
Gooey feels like swimming in the milkshake. But it's warm. Warm peanut butter.... v i b e s...
Love it when these boys are in the states, i saw them in Kansas City at the Beach Ball music fest and they tore the place apart.
Dang... They are magical.

Year and a half and no dislikes. Well done.
this band is SO underrated!!
I smile because I want to
I’ve been listening to them since late 2014/early 2015 and this gives me all the feels
Cooler than 10 Plutos. Even better live. Glass Animals is the goofy gumby gold
They're so talented.

Words can not describe how much i love this band, i don't know what I'd do without them 💛
coming over from Wild Beasts after all these years, i am so glad this band exists- i'm obsessed
I wish my drumkit sounded as sexy as that
Best snare I've heard in years.. Like he's hitting it with a 2x4.
I listen to this daily
Fuck man, I so wanna jam with these guys!!
I have seen this video so many times before. Today, I just came here to screen record that one Drew clip for making an edit and ended up watching the whole performance again.

In Black Mambo is the bass even on? If it is it needs turned up
Nice session Audiotree. Question: Which camera you used to shoot this? Are you using a steady? ¡Saludos!
COOL
is the Audiotree host vogueing? why does he talk like a magician trying to misdirect?
I luv that he gave Kanye praise 🙌🏻

Ok I’m old so I get Radiohead but Kanye means Kanye west?
these ads in the middle of the songs are getting to me
Gotta get an ad blocker! it's a lifesaver!
Glass Animals are a lot like Wild Beasts, just made out of glass.
yeah! i love both bands so much!
Am I the only one who thinks that the intro is similar to RHCP's Hard to concentrate? I love it though

Drew's music (Lokki) is very heartwarming!
percussion on the first song is slightly out of sync and it bugs me so much
Just right at the beginning, I noticed that too!
Oh my god the Kanye cover!!!!
They performed that a day before my 12th birthday

oh fuck....
Way better than the new garbage they pushing out now
How dare you disregard cat playing keyboard!!!

What girl does Dave love
