Since watching your videos, I have been buying more "cat food" at my local grocery store or butcher shop. One store, has more exotic meat, such as venison, ostrich and wild boar. Beautiful sweater. The Voice is a fashion plate!

Ooo have you ever looked into pet food express? I’m not sure if it’s just a California thing but you can order online too and they have frozen raw and lots of other good freeze dried raw treats and better litter, etc. I love it so much I know this video is old but I’d love to see someone talk about it 🥰

Just checked and Chewy no longer carries JustfoodforCats. Some freeze dried treats but not regular food. May 2024.

I love Chewy for lots of things, but I am fortunate enough in Albuquerque to have Long Leash on Life (giving them a shout out, cause they deserve it), which is an awesome small store. Not all towns are lucky enough. They only sell more quality foods (for instance, No Purina, Hill, Fancy Feast, Science Diet).
Nice!! I just looked. Glad to see they have small batch and steve's. And many other brands I talk about. I have some better quality pet stores near me too. I would love to do more about those brands, but that would only apply to people that actually live here. Maybe I will do a series anyway!

Thanks. I know you'll be gone for a while, but I remember using this for my cats in the past. The stuff I've been feeding them makes them throw up. Also gnats come out later when I open the trash can to put something in.
I would NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE MAKING HOMEMADE RAW FOOD.
Is it better for CKD cats to have the eggshells instead of ground bones in your opinion?

Great videos, I’ve PMR my dogs for almost 20yrs but had no experience with cats. I was able to convert one one our new cats, and working on the other. Your tips have been very helpful. I did overhear some confusion with Cassava and yuca. They are the same thing, tapioca starch is extracted from cassava/yuca/manioc.
I've a kitty with failing kidneys. All the renal food is digusting to my cat....

What about "Gentle Giants NonGMO Salmon Cat and Kitten Can Food"? Ingredients sound good but I haven't seen any expert reviews on it.
Do you think freeze-dried food is good in case of emergencies like power outage or natural disasters? You have no idea how worried I get if our power goes out and I have tons of raw cat food frozen in the freezer only for it to melt and rot. No one really talks about what to do with raw feeding in the case of emergencies.
Any natural recommendations for dewormer in cats?

I stopped using Chewy after a while, their packaging is just terrible and I had the worst experience with them. Busted boxes and cans, broken containers, so on and so forth. A lot of people seem to complain about it a lot on the site and it just looks like they're not doing anything about it.
They got worse after petsmart bought them

That's awful! I haven't had this issue. Typically I order cat litter and freeze-dried treats from them. Maybe it's because of the hard cans. I'm sad to hear this.

In my experience it's the couriers that mess up my packages, not Chewys.

Not in the slightest. But there are cats that would rather starve than switch. Some cats will fast and fasting isn't good for cats, in fact can be dangerous.So others aren't ncessarily bad pet parents because they "allow" it.
That's a good thing if your cat isn't picky! This is probably the #1 issue cat parents face. Jericho isn't picky either because he gets lots of variety.
My cat lost a lot of weight when I tried to stop her pickiness. I am now trying to correct that so that she goes back to a healthy weight.
also chewy sells a "vegetarian" cat food and the worst part is that it's aafco approved for regular feeding! 😡
