Brings me to tears Sherrie is amazing. I used to sing this song with my father on the piano he is gone now and a very large large part of my heart is gone with him.....
Left to Right............ Lynda Laurence, Scherrie Payne, Jean Terrell. Always loved this when I saw them here in the UK. it was the best song in their set, tingles up my spine time, along with "Stoned Love"
I am so shocked. I knew they could sing, and have been a fan for most of my life, but this performance is awesome. Glad to see Lynda representing Philly so well!
A superb performance, one of the best of the post Mary Wilson Supremes. A real group effort, all three members shine here. Excellent video and audio as well, choice gowns. You're right Ian, it was never the same without Jean Terrell.
Ths had to be the strongest line-up of the Supremes since Diana Ross. Three strong lead voices which blended so wonderfully together. I miss you Ms. Terrell as a part of the FLO's or as now must be said formerly of the Supremes. You added grace, charm, and elegance to the group along with Scherrie and Lynda...you are truly missed, my dear!
This shows that each of the ladies CAN!! sing!!! Jean often sounded screechy with May and Cindy. Here her voice has depth and power and is anything but screechy. Perhaps age lowered her voice - whatever the reason, she sounded amazing. Scherrie sounds amazing as always. This is the first time I heard Lynda belt it out - and she certainly can! Loved it!!!
Each of these awesome ladies are truly Supreme...cannot pick a favorite as they are all awesome in this great clip which shows someone dropped the ball and what a missed opportunity in the bankrupt music world...Bravo Supremes!!!
It's nice to know that in addition to Jean and Scherrie, Lynda's can lead also. This is surely an example that The Supremes could have soared to new Heights after Diana's exist. Motown missed an opportunity of a Lifetime. If they every come to Miami, I will be on the Front Row.
It's amazing how Jean has the grace and style taught by Miss Maxine Powell and YES she did work with Jean...it shows the Motown style! So elegant! Just watch her presence...and that is not to say that Scherrie and Lynda are NOT a Supreme... and ARE truly Supreme...just an observation. Love all the Ladies of the Supremes! They are all truly the Supremes! And Scherrie and Lynda carry on!!! I just wish that Jean had stayed! Love them all as I said earlier!
Yes, that is Scherrie Payne who took Jean Terrell's place when she was no longer with the group and the Supremes regrouped with Scherrie as lead, Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong returned later to leave and be replaced by the FANTASTIC Susaye Greene, who's voice is awsome!
another example of the stupid decisions that Berry Gordy made regarding the Supremes...this is one of the best (if not the best) live performances I've seen by the Supremes (sans Diana Ross).

Yes. This is the best of version of How Do You Keep The Music Playing and it is really a shame that it was never done in the studio with Jean.
This really really moved me. These ladies are great. I hope they tour together again.
great vocals.never saw this before.more ,more ,more
