It's a DIY, people. It's not a DIY AT HOME. You can actually do it yourself after you get the tools and the materials he used. He showed how he did it, he never said you would have every single thing he used in your house. I think this is a great tutorial.
With so much time that could have been saved by just making it functional, you cut no corners and addressed every detail. Very very nice. Only negative is you wrapped up the video playing the same music you can find on 10,000,000 other videos on TH-cam.

Good wood-working skills, however there are some issues with the design: Use 45 degree angles to prevent standing waves, calculate the enclosure size to given parameters of the sub to prevent infinite baffle, choose porting type and calculate the length of it according to porting type, enclosure size and chosen tuning frequenty, make sure that the enclosure is completely airtight to maximize performance of the port and above all make sure that your sub matches your other speakers. Sound has to be balanced at all times, a sub is meant to reach the low hertz, not to boost mid-bass too much creating unbalanced sound.

Wow!!! I’ve seen other build with diy speakers. I’ve even made my own with a 6.75” sub. & 2 4” speakers but you have greatly one- uped every build here on youtube! Congrats! Wish the sound quality was better on youtube tho to hear that bass!!
Very nice build. If you already have the tools, this is a great project. Well done on the appearance. About $100 of parts, and another $40 for the walnut board. The router circular jig was excellent. A similar too exists for cutting circles with a cutting torch. Well done! A ratcheting cargo strap is also good for holding glued parts together.
What I am about to say is just my opinion, not to against anyone or even the guy in the video!! This guy is an expert on what he is doing. So if anyone out there are planning to make this by yourself... GOOD LUCK! For me, If I do really want a SUBWOOFER like the one in the video, I will rather buy it instead. He is an EXPERT/PROFESSIONAL and you can tell that it would take him couple days or even a week to make that (with all the TOOLS that he used in the video), so how long do you think it is going to take you to make this.. ??? But the video was 100% satisfying to watch though!!
It is a good build, i hear a lot of port shuffing noise tho! Take use of some port design programs to help you calculate the ideal dimentions for your build👍 it might help.

1) get Thielle-Small parameters for the speaker 2) calculate optimal volume 3) ask yourself if you need bass reflex (it introduces phase delay) and calculate its diameter and lenght. 4) do it !
Hey i want to modify this build to an 5.1 Amplifier/Subwoofer. I have some Speaker from an old 5.1 Sound system but the Amplifier/Subwoofer just broke completly. Do you know an Amplifier-Board wich i could use for this purpose? i can't find one. If possible with bluetooth and USB as well.
A bunch of things shouldve been done differently for a better sounding quality out of the box. But what is more important, is that you did this by yourself, and that's one thing to be happy about regardless of whether it follows professional guidance.

I really liked everything except for the USB port. There has to be a better solution. Open USB port held with super glue? looks bad and wont be very good for plugging in and out.
Very cool build. My only very small nit picks are....That small amount of glue on the USB connector won't last long, I dunno if I'd have the bass tube red. Last you breezed over how did you determine the length of the bass tube? OK small stuff since this is a nice build.

Там и светодиодная подсветка видимо от выхода усилителя работает, то есть там стоит какой-никакой диодный выпрямитель на аудиовыходе и это не хорошо для акустики

Unfortunately by the time that I acquired all the tools that you have to make something like this I could have just bought one lol. But then I wouldn't have a bunch of awesome tools to build another one. Now I'm all confused.

i use to dj back in the day. and use to have folded horns and scoop cabinets with 18" subwoofer in it. wondering if can create a mini version of a scoop or folded horn cabinets fitted for like smaller woofers like 10 and 12 in. Also with built in powered amplifier

@@kolakola3678 фигня этот ЧВ, стоял у меня несколько лет на одной 12", переделал на две 12" ФИ (размерами чуть больше того чв) . звук у ЧВ не плотный размытый, контроля динамика нет, болтается как хуй между ног, как следствие демпфирования нет - мощи много не вольешь. для бастбустеров глухих, лишь бы гудело на 40 герцах

Как по мне, так лучше пойти и купить достойную аппаратуру. Не думаю, что у мастера из этого ролика нет достойно оплачиваемой работы. Но за процессом изготовления понаблюдать было интересно, так что ЛАЙК!

He could adjust the bass and bass frequency and the total volume.
Example: if your bass is too high. Decrease your bass and increase the total volume/main volume
