    ____________________________________
= For this piece I used the following ALCOHOL INKS:
    Piñata from Jacquard:
    Señorita Magenta and Baja Blue
🔹 I really recommend this “Exciter Pack” (so appropriately named 😊) of nine gorgeous, rich Piñata inks ... including the colors I used : amzn.to/2G2tkAB
    🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2HzXn3c
** [Please note, this is my personal, unbiased opinion ... I will always only share things I love using and fully believe will make your heart sing too. ] **
Copic Sketch Markers : Pale Sepia (YR24)
    Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker CT1
    91% Isopropyl Alcohol
    = 🔹This was done on DURA-LAR by Grafix : amzn.to/2HbLYVZ
    🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2qw88eN
= STYLUSES come in many styles (from inexpensive wooden ones to slightly pricier ones with pretty handles). Most of the time sets under $5 - $10 will come directly from China and will take a couple weeks to arrive. You can pay 2 to 3 times more from vendors in the States ( they got theirs from China too) ... you’ll just get them much faster.
I have 3 possible sets of styluses listed in amazon.com/shop/MyriamsNature ... you may find a set you prefer from the related items area of one of these listings. In the end, they all work the same ... just pick the price, look, and quantity you prefer. 😊
    = SEALING / VARNISHING =
To seal an alcohol ink piece I use a museum quality spray by Krylon: Kamar Varnish. Unlike most spray varnishes and acrylic sprays, it will not react with the alcohol inks. 🔹Here is a link: amzn.to/2jGh3KO
If done on something paper thin like Duralar, the piece can be framed under glass or acrylic without being sprayed. Avoid placing your alcohol ink work where it will be exposed to direct sunlight however. Some inks can fade quite a bit in the sun.
A UV Protecting spray can help minimize fading.
To see more products I use, love and recommend for fluid painting (and to possibly discover new products 😊) :
www.amazon.com... (Please note that vendors may change their prices without notice. Whenever possible I chose the vendors with the best prices but sometimes a price increases, so, if a price seems "wrong", please choose a vendor with a price your prefer.)
Thank you in advance for watching the videos, sharing them, commenting and leaving a thumbs up. Your kindness helps my channel continue and it is all greatly appreciated! May the alcohol inks, resin, and paints be kind, and may the pours be with you. 😊💕

Miriam!!! Your 'With' art paper is absolutely gorgeous!! And, I think the bubbles add so much more dimension to it than the first paper, 'Without'! However, I do love the colors, and I could visualize that 'feel of fabric' you mentioned, along with the 'windswept moves' (which sounds much more magical than 'ink blown around with a hair blower) of some colors over others that do their part to highlight that 'wispy-look' that you first wanted to show us in this part of your tutorial!! I was so intrigued with your use of 'embellishments' when showing us how to make the 'bubbles', and I wonder if there are other 'embellishments' you might show us in future tutorials that we can learn about and also try? Are these embellishments (your 'bubbles') your own design? Or, is there a special site or store where we can go to find more embellishments like the 'bubbles'?! I have been trying to watch and learn more about Alcohol Inks by enjoying several of your tutorials on You-Tube, where I have also enjoyed your wonderful sense of humor, as well!! (A few of my art-loving friends had suggested I watch 'Myriam's Nature' tutorials here if I was ready to try out Alcohol Inks, because they already know how much I love designing and creating jewelry, and how much I wanted to incorporate the Alcohol Inks into my jewelry designs!! I must admit that I do love the sound of your voice, as I find it quite soothing, along with your relaxed, friendly, and talented style of teaching!! With the exception of needing to purchase more of the Yupo paper, I have collected many more inks and other necessary supplies where I feel more confident now after watching your tutorials where I would love to try some of your tricks and tips when making my own designs with Alcohol Inks! (Currently, with the month of March only a few days away from ending, and April, 2020 starting soon, because of the COVID-19, the 90% Alcohol is extremely hard to find, and I think they are saving it just for hospitals! So I will have to wait to purchase that very important supply to play with my Alcohol Inks!!) Thank you so very much for giving so generously of your time, your wonderful Tips and Tricks, and letting us see your talent as you develop your art right before our eyes!!! Thank you again!! And Bless you, Myriam for sharing your exciting designs with all of us!!

With with with with with! Loving the bubbles! They look like glass beads which have rolled down the folds of the silk fabric & nestled in. I can't wait to try this technique tomorrow as I have styluses. Thank you for your invaluable tip about letting left over inks dry in the palette to be reactivated at a later date. Thank you, thank you Suku! Once my alcohol ink paintings dry totally, I spray them with a clear, glossy varnish designed for varying mediums including acrylics, oils and watercolors. A wonderful thing about this particular spray is that it is the only varnish I have ever found which has no bleeding impact on alcohol inks. It will not cause the inks to move in any way… Even the finest alcohol ink details are preserved and protected. Here is a link for it - Kamar Varnish: amzn.to/2Evyv9N I hope that helps a bit. 😊💕

I really love both. Can you put the dots on a Christmas bauble??? I make baubels every Christmas in 3-4 different mediums. Alcohol ink (inside/outside) , acrylic paint interior and dirty pour with acrylic on the outside with and without an activator. I'm trying with pure pigments this year and of coarse in alcohol ink. In alcohol ink this year I bought sparkling ink and glow in the dark. So knowing if the dots work would be excellent to know. Also, do you think I could put my main color in the bauble and put the dots on the exterior for a cool new look??? Thank you! ❤😊❤

      @MyriamsNature  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Cha! Thank you so much for the kind words. 😊💕The dryer would have been on the coolest setting so as not to dry the inks TOO quickly. Nowadays I use a different blower (it’s also meant for hair 😅)... it blows softer than a full on hair dryer. You’ll see it shown in detail in this video (the first time I used it in a video): th-cam.com/video/mKosKCyTzDY/w-d-xo.html I hope you can find something similar in South Africa 😃. Happy inking! 😘💖

I didn’t alcohol ink on tile. You inspired me! It reminds me of stained glass or water colors. I want to paint the edges of the tile and then seal the tile. I would really like to use an epoxy resin to seal the alcohol ink and use it on my bathroom county as a tray. I have never used resin and do not know if will work for this. Is there something I should spray it with first and then use an Epoxy resin? I would love to have the alcohol ink not affected and keep what I created untouched. I can’t thank you enough. I need to find your Amazon links but I’m not sure what to buy.

    • @MyriamsNature
      @MyriamsNature  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lori,
Epoxy resin would be ideal for your project. In order to protect your alcohol ink from possibly bleeding or being reactivated by the resin, spray it with 2 light coats of Kamar varnish first (they dry fairly quickly). Here is a link for the Kamar : amzn.to/2Evyv9N
As for resin, I’d recommend Clearcast 7050. If you use the coupon code MYRIAM you’ll get 20% off your order. Here is the link for that: : bit.ly/CC7050
I hope that helps a bit. 😊💕 Have fun with your project!

I'm just hoping that you get that "ooohh...I wonder what would happen if..." excitement about the workshop idea...it WOULD be REALLY fun! I'd totally sign up!! :)

sometimes I do not need to watch your tutorial but I put one on anyway while I am picking up email or something just so that I can hear your voice in the background as it is such a positive voice and it puts me in a positive mood. You are a blessing to the art world and to our world in general. God bless you.

You have me hook, line and sinker - LOL! So easy to listen to and understand, I love when the how and why are explained. Both pieces are beautiful but I think I love the one that is embellished more. I would love to know what you do with your finished pieces, like do you stamp, die cut or just frame them? Tip of my alcohol life was practicing on freezer paper - genius and I thank you ever so much for that! Also have to thank for a new paper choice also. Many thanks for all you share.

Oh Myriam, I have missed you !! I am so happy to see you !!
You posted not only a video, but the technique I am having so much trouble with.
Gosh, having to choose between 2 Gorgeous Paintings. What a dilemma !
Okay, my heart enjoys the unembellished the most.
I am happy to see any video you create on any technique or materials.
Now that I am remembering, on a past video, you showed some of your jewelry.
It was fast and I don't believe you mentioned them at all. I will try to find that one.

I love both! I just discovered you on TH-cam and can’t wait to watch your other videos. I have made alcohol ink backgrounds for my cards. Ready to try on ceramic and larger pieces. I am also very intrigued by resin. I will see what videos you have on using resin. Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve already learned several new things regarding alcohol inks. 😊

OMG!!! Congratulations on 20k subscribers! I just rewatched your first video. What a trip. Your the first person I've followed from the beginning. This technique you just did was wonderful. I like them both. A good piece of stationery paper mounted to the back would turn these into great gift cards. Also love the blow dryer tip. Thank goodness I didn't get rid of my spare. Can't wait to see your 50th video! I know it will be outstanding just like the past 49. And again congratulations.

Many many thanks for your amazing support Janet! The 20k blows my mind... I would never have believed it possible.
I’m so happy that you got something out of this video. The stationery paper idea would work beautifully with this given the translucent nature of both the inks and the Duralar! Hmmm... I wonder if there’s a video idea there 😄😂?
Thanks again for the kind words! I’ll be super happy to hear from you after #50. 😘💕

Hi today is Oct 24, 2019 I just found this wonderful video. It’s so helpful, so different, so easy to follow. I just enjoyed watching it through then saved it so I could watch it again and take any notes I night need plus see what supplies I need to get. Can’t wait to try this, you are a great trainer, Thanks! Oh and I know I’m late but I like both styles with circles & without it depends on your mood & who your making your master piece for, plus the colors.

I like both pieces but I love the embellished piece and aspire to do more of that with my own work. Myriam with a 'Y'...I'm crazy about your tutorials and your art pieces! Thank you so much. I am forever learning from you. And I want you to know how much I adore your laugh and good humor. I laugh out loud right along with you. Your voice is soothing. Your instruction is point on. I would like to see more about sealing alcohol inks and how to paint landscapes and scenes. The Alcohol inks are so unlike any other medium I have used. Very tricky. Thank you again and again!

Beautiful! I am taking a class tomorrow and this has me really excited. I like the one without all of the bubbles and I am wondering how it would look with glitter or some gold/silver embellishments....Thank you for sharing your talent!
