Gotta love when NL plays an interesting game out of the usual rotation of SAP, SAP, SAP and SAP. I watch those too, I’m allowed to use hater technology.

I was super interested in this game up til I played the LudoNarraCon demo, and saw that you could only get a refresher on the initial tutorial in a gimped text document and by doing practice sharking which is entirely randomized (which is a terrible way to learn the patterns).
uninstalled it with the next tutorial after the gunshot cuz the timing was so exacting, even on easy mode. was more interested in it for the story, but the game is absolutely, ludicrously balanced in difficulty for that purpose.
so personally, I think the likes of Shotgun King and Peglin are FAR more interesting than Card Shark. not that Card Shark is bad, as such, but it had some pretty glaring issues that kick it all the way to the bottom of my gaming to-do list (LNC was only a few weeks ago, I highly doubt my qualms with it have been fixed in that time). by far the worst demo I tried during LNC after Trolley Problem, Inc., tbh (tho that's cuz it was the weakest in such a good bunch, imo).

I am pretty interested in the story since I have heard a bit about the irl count of st. Germaine. so I tried playing it on my own, I was done by trick 14.

The buddy could have been cheating to get the Compte to win, with the idea of splitting the money after. Or perhaps the buddy was trying to cheat and sucking at it.

@@gunfighter009 for me this game feels like a good tv show/novel, you finish it and you feel empty for a while...and going straight back into the monotonous routine of SAP really took me out. Not that i hate SAP since i play it more than NL but still....
