I personally find it a little awkward, but I also find it actually helps so much! Everything afterwards seems so much easier and sounds so much better.
I have heard that playing and singing helps improve tone, but I have never understood how it helps. Thank you for explaining the "how". Now that I understand how, I will do it more often and pay attention to what i am feeling. Thank you! 🎶 ❤️
Hi Angela, have done it a couple of times, but will practice a few scales or long tones with this technique, I imagine that with practice a Flutists could even play Harmonies, specially Thirds. Thanks for another awesome video, take care, be safe, and God Bless
Now your talkin. You have shared the secret of how Rock & Roll Sax players get that growl. It is not an advanced technique, the guys I play with do it ALL the time. Remember that evolution profile picture from ape to human? From Primate to Homo Sapien ? We're about 3rd from the left..... It's OK, I feel very much at home. But we definitely need a lesson on Posture. You talk to them. They'll listen to you.
The begging was magical
I can't wait to get home and try this. I think that at times I am tense and not open. Other time I am. Warming up like this will be a way to get open.
Fantastic Mark! I really hope that this really works for you to keep open. It is so much more comfortable and your tone will get better and better.
Wow , I've got to try it.! Also I think I already had hummed in lower notes , thanks again.
It really works. Keep me posted on what you think after you have tried it.
Thank you, Dr. McBrearty!
