This (part one and two) have been the best explanations of Massive I've found on youtube yet.

I like how Massive does all of the work for me. I currently use Sytrus to get the hang of FM synthesis.

appreciate the tutorial. massive is indeed....massive. things like this help break it down into pieces though, which is very helpful for beginners and experts alike. keep up the good work over @ dubspot. more tutorials for the native instruments vst's would be greatly appreciated. komplete 7 looks like it's packing some incredible software

After watching your video, I went back to a sound I created earlier on, added this technique... And... it... was, awesome.

Very good tut, the one thing I do not like about Massive is that modulated controls are not animated, it would be a good feature to add as it allows to see and not just hear the modulation.

Hello, this is a great tutorial. I was wondering how you get only a certain amount of steps to play in the stepper? I have the first 8 edited and only want them to by cycled through but it goes through all 16. Thank you, please keep it up!

@basspayer You probably have an older version of Massive, so you'll have to hold down ALT as you move the stepper ;)

I agree completely! Awesome tutorial!! I have one question I've been trying to find. I notice Massive just has LFO programming for 16 steps. What if I want to change it up after 16 steps? Can a 2nd set of LFO programming be created inside of Massive or does another instance or pattern of Massive have to be created? Thanks!

You can check their website, they have reason tutorials, logic, ableton and a few more go check it out!
Even though i would highly recommend ableton and getting it in an early phase (yes i know your comment is 3 months old).
FL is very good for beginners, but sometimes ableton is more powerful and can do a little more advanced stuff.
Ofc avicii, porter robinson, and a few others use fl studio, it's personal preference :D

i know u can automate most of massives parameters thru ableton in the arrangement view, but how can i automate the rate of the LFO once it is synced with the tempo? u know since once u sync it there is no knob u just have to adjust the numbers

Do you have to have ableton to take one of the online classes? Because I think a class would be awesome but i only have FL studio right now!
