Red River, NM. It's a mountain valley town near some good skiing in Northern, NM. Haven't been in winter yet but it was a very neat place when I rolled through in the summer. They have ski lifts that start in the town and go up the mountain. Would love to ride those but they weren't in operation when I was through.
Have you heard that the lake is reaching toxic levels? They don't recommend actually swimming in it right now. It has a bunch of mining equipment sunken in it thats releasing toxic chemicals. Sad
I LOVE Coeur D'Alene! Such a beautiful lake and town. I remember jet skiing on that lake with my cousin and brother and it was probably one of the funnest vacation experiences I have ever had.
@@allisonanderson honestly as a local of Coeur d'alene I don't really like the celebrities because they think they're so important. They also bring paparazzi which isn't something we have since the only celebs around here are authors and illustrators.
Allison, I felt the same way growing up in Missoula! I couldn’t wait to get out and experience a big city, so I moved to SF in college. Now, I feel like there’s no place I’d rather be than back in MT, around family and in my beautiful hometown. Life’s complicated and I’m now married, stuck in CA (for the time being) and can’t wait to get back.
I really want to visit Idaho because of your videos. I went to Florida on July and I just finished editing that video which I’ll post on Tuesday. I love traveling. Thanks to your channel, I feel like I’m traveling every time you upload.
I live in CDA, the only thing not correct is the celeb sightings. We do get some high profile people however there is a special hidden ranch they all go to. It’s very exclusive and stocked so that they want for nothing, very very rare for them to come into town. They have contracts that make them invisible except for passing them in traffic.
WOOOOW the water looks so so calming and tranquil. I feel like all the places I have visited in the past have been tourist destinations and haven't been to a "little town"

It really isn't a little town for Idaho. As a local we'll be nice to you when you say you're a tourist but we don't really want you here of you won't clean up after yourself or respect us. We're being overrun by Californians so our town is expanding and we aren't very happy about it. You'll get better treatment if you come up here in the winter when tourist season is peetering out because we don't have to deal with mobs of tourists. All of us here in Northern Idaho want it to stay as clean as possible you see.
We go there often. We live in Central WA. Love your videos. You (and Mr. Mckinnon) inspired my daughter to enroll in Colorado Mountains Professional Photography courses this year. Keep up the videos and great work.
I also live here in the Coeur d' Alene area, I moved here 26 years ago and still just love it. I go camping and hiking, it is a hikers paradise!! Winters are long but if you like snowmobiling, skiing or snow shoeing you would love it.
I am from the Tacoma, WA area and got married in Coeur d’Alene - we had a VERY small wedding and rented the penthouse/top floor suite of the resort overlooking the lake. Haven’t been back in the last 7 years - you are making me want to go back there and rent a boat!! 💗
Mason Twin totally agree, shhhhh ur not supposed to talk about sandpoint lol keep that one a secret. My hubby’s from sandpoint!!! we went horseback riding on Schweitzer this summer that was rad.
I road-tripped there with my dad when I was 10. We went to a breakfast restaurant where I had what felt like the world’s biggest plate of pancakes. It was so much food that I literally didn’t eat pancakes again until I was about 30! Nice town! I have been enjoying lots of your videos lately! - Paula from Victoria B.C.
My heart. I worked in CDA the last 3 months at my mentors chiropractic office, as well as lived in that region during undergrad - you bet ima move back to open my own chiropractic office in just under 2 years there!
I randomly cane across your channel at the beginning of quarantine szn and so far everything I've watched has intrigued me so much!! Your content is A1 and you're an interesting person to watch and listen too. Thanks for doing what you love Allison, & sharing your adventures with us!!! 🌞 Cheers to many more adventures ❤ love from South Africa ❤ (also, this location is so randomly cool because i just finished reading a book where this place was the main location lol)
That's funny what you were saying about high school you because when I was 15 we did a road trip to Coeur d'Alene from Vancouver Island and it was my favorite place. I wanted to move there and I always said I would when I grew up:) I never did, but as soon as we can travel again I want to do a trip with my kids through BC to Idaho ❤
It's so crazy to see celebrities coming to Idaho. I've grown up in a small town a couple hours south of CDA and we consider it a pretty big town. Some celebs actually have vacation homes up there, a lot of really beautiful mansions around the lake.
Yea my math teacher was just telling me today about how he use to serve and he served like kardashian and Mark wahlburg and kobe Bryant it crazy how many celebritys come here
Holy crap, one Fourth of July we went there because my grandparents have a lake house there and we went on a boat ride and saw Kanye’s and Kim’s boat, I remember them playing music really loud
@@drivewayauto9440 We have a 22 foot Bennington and boat almost every weekend. CDA is nice when it is not choppy. For locals weekday boating has much smoother water.
I live here. Plenty on the lake but expensive. Also yes you need a car. This is a city. Not a small town. Ha. Lots of good food. Worth the visit. Promise
It really is a little heaven on earth❤ used to go there every year❤ actually the highway from there along the border of Canada and Washington is the most gorgeous drive you will ever experience with a lot of cute little towns on the way
great! ------------ what do you think on this adventure:VADER retired PADDLE boarding on LA RIVER (Narrated by Jones Earl James) - S2E1 The River Wild full"
The winter is harsh, cold and gloomy. We moved there and left within a year. Many Californians go there, so housing is high and too many retirees. I would never go back. Not that great.
Use to be nicer.. able 5o have more lake access and places to dock up on the shore or fish off the shore.?? But since they did all this "progress" you just cant enjoy it like you use to.. sad really. I had many good memories.. now pretty hard to share that with my kids now.
Yes this is a beautiful area but stop showing it off us locals dont want people from california Oregon and washington moving here. We dont need liberals movong in messing up our area
Coeur d'Alene is such a cool place - what is your favorite little town?
Leavenworth WA. Chelan, WA
My favorite little town is called Allison Anderson! 🤣🤣

A favorite of mine is Sedona, AZ. Red Rock Country just stunning.

Thank you for wearing a life jacket!!! Water safety is so important and often overlooked when boating! Thank you thank you thank you!

It's such a great spot. No wonder the celebs are flocking there!

The dislikes on the video must be Idahoans who don’t want the secret to get out that our state and city of CDA are beautiful ❤️
Busted😂
Yeah we really just don't need a bunch of Californians coming up here ..
Pretty much. Stay away Californians. Lol

I live here and I dislike this place getting exposed like this because with Tourists there comes trash and trashy people.

I live in Coeur d Alene myself and sometimes I have to stop myself and remember how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place.
Boating is a great sponsor for you - loving these water vlogs. Would have liked a walk through the town as well.

@@wynterfir Definately the traffic has gotten.much worse in general with all these Californians selling there house and building mansions up here
Wow it looks so nice! As someone from NYC I completely forget how beautiful other parts of the country can be lol
My friend’s parents moved there maybe 6 years ago or so and I’d never heard of it back then and now I see people talking about it everywhere!!
Oh no! The secrets gotten out
You should check it out; it’s really beautiful in all seasons
I just spent the weekend in CDA, such an awesome place. Definitely will be going back, next time with a boat and for a week!

Being near an ocean or lake or waterfall has always been my "happy place" thanks for reminding me in this video to do more of that.
I live vicariously through you right now. Please continue to post videos!

Great question, “Jenny Lake” Wyoming at the base of the Tetons ❤️

I was born in Idaho and love the entire state - it's absolutely gorgeous! Enjoy your channel, new subscriber here.
I used to live in CdA. Wonderful place for sure.

I once met Ben Stein in my hometown of Sandpoint, it definitely is a strange thing to see someone famous like that in real life lol 😄
What a beautiful place!
All I don't understand is why now it getting kind of cold here in cda already specially for boating
Do you always travel alone or with your husband? The place looks absolutely beautiful.
Another beautiful lake!! Could you make a video of your favorite Seattle spots? Or awesome spots nearby? :)

Kodi James how do you get there? I tried looking at airfare and got confused . Thank you for the info
You would fly into spokane
I recommend the resort it's the most touristy and it would be part of the experience
What did you use to film this?
Sony A7iii for scenic/cinematic shots, DJI Mavic Pro in the air, Sony RX100 vii for handheld talking shots of me.
I used to live there. You should also go to sandpoint!
Never have I been so happy to live there
Have a Gooey at the resort restaurant

I love water .Thank I want travel more.
I live in Riverside Harbor, in Post Falls ID right next to CDA. This place is better.
My hometown!!!!!
Added to the travel list. I need a smaller apartment so I can afford all the travel I want to do. Lol
Now, I want to go to boating school. I feel like Spongebob right now. 😆
