I want this motor in my 22' GR86, everything factory, different rear gearing and this engine. If it could be done retaining all factory functions and features itd be an amazing swap
A 1,000hp 2JZ swap would be significantly cheaper than this engine. It’s 2 1.2 liter hyabusa motors somehow fitted together in a V configuration to make a 2.4 litre V-8. Don’t ask me how they did it but I heard the conversation cost $80,000.
@@mikea5205 True, but I think you're missing the point. This is not about max horsepower or top speed. BRZ with a naturally aspirated, high revving V8 in the hood is like an enthusiast's dream car.
@@tomokokishi3066 - Nope, I totally get it. Actually I would prefer this engine over a 1,000 hp 2JZ. I was just saying it's cheaper for him in the US to just swap in a 2JZ....way cheaper. Unless he has $80,000 sitting around then go for it.
@@jimmyyoshioshibata9222 because we want high revving screamers, not a muscle car. Like the other guy said, you could do many different swaps for significantly cheaper with much more power, but it's not the point.

Last I saw on juns site they had it up for sale and it was bought. Dont know where the car is now but someone owns a monster
Sold for 8 mil JPY. Not a bad deal considering the effort of the tuner.

ZX-12Rは乾燥車体重量 210kg 装備重量でも230㎏程度だから 2台で460㎏なんだけれど クルマに積んだら その倍の 920㎏以上の重さに
なるんだろうか 重さがが500㎏以上ある ZX-12Rは遅いだろうから このクルマのウリは高回転まで回る音だけだと思う。
単純計算じゃダメだよ
クランク軸が2つあるわけじゃないから単純に2倍の重量になるわけじゃない
junオート曰く、純正エンジンより30キロ軽いってよ
装備重量云々は、12Rのエンジン以外の車体を含めた重さなので参考にならないのでは。
