Thanks for this. They all feel like no brainers to me so I'm not too worried about making these mistakes. Funnily enough, I interviewed onsite last year and one of the interviewers said that they don't debrief together. Had a feeling that wasn't the truth.
You'd be surprised. I didn't make them up. They're real errors candidates made with me repeatedly. 🧙♀️

GG, my hiring manager interveiw is tomorrow, I was prepped by my recruiter, he said I was the most prepped for his call of any candidate, I spilled the beans said I watch a few creators 🤣 on repeat while studying. TYSM! I hope to have good news for you!

We recommend avoiding these types of examples. It’s easy to get it very very wrong.

Hey Cecilia-That's fine to share just don't be impolite about anyone. You can say you felt someone made the wrong decision just don't say it's because they were an idiot or arrogant or .....
In Amazon interviews, there are very particular questions which everybody may not has a story related with that question even he-she works for a very prestigious fast paced big company. So, what to do instead of overclaiming and making up answers (lying)? Would you please answer?

Hey what were the behavioral questions that were asked to you?
Is it okay to say 'I haven't had such an experience yet' in case I truly didn't experience a situation the interviewer wants me to talk about, or I am simply unable to frame a strong response? I guess it's not okay but still would love to hear your thoughts on it - and how best to handle such a scenario.

You should always avoid the 10k feet answer. See my video "how long should my answer be" to get a good sense of length.

Well it’s going to depend massively on your role. I’m a marketer originally so an example might be creating reoccurring charges and hiding them when customers purchase.

first one : tell me about the time you failed at the project? here i can say some project that i did and failed and what i learned from it but one guy told me if there is a follow-up question that told you why did not go deep in your situation and fix the issue before starting the project or why did not understand the project before starting to avoid any mistake so here, of course, I will be stuck as i don't have a real answer,,
second one: if i need to support our client and i did a temporary solution to avoid long downtime ( impact ) but the follow-up question is you didn't think of long term and your solution is not meet LP,
what should i answer here plz ,

Hi- I can't give you the exact answer as of course it's your experience. But the whole point of asking about people's failures is to find out what they learnt and how they have taken that learning and used it to do better. So if the follow up question is "why didn't you dive deeper", explain the truth about why you didn't Dive Deeper at the time, how you see that to be an error in judgement and then share an example of the next time you came across a scenario and used that experience to remind you to dive deep, therefore not making the same mistake twice. Amazon doesn't expect you to be perfect. In fact it expects you to be imperfect, but to learn from your mistakes. Ignore anyone that tells you not expose your errors, the key is to do so but ALWAYS show your ability to learn and grow. Amazon wants people with "growth potential".

Tell your truth but ALWAYS illustrate what you learned and how you have applied your learning since. The second but is vital!!
In short liers wins everywhere including at the job, the better you are at deceiving, the better prepared you are

I know few folks personally who were not good with coding and never done true management role at company, were just about ok, but cracked SDM at amazon by creating stories, simple funda is fake it till you make it, and you perfect that art by giving multiple interviews. Not sure if Amazon considers tech expertise in SDM role at all.

The answer to both of theses questions is dependent on your team. There’s a lot of flexibility in what they can do. You need to ask your Recruiter.

I lost points in my last interview for speaking badly of my last employer.

Can we give the same example for a Customer Obsession question when it asked in different rounds?
I advise strongly against that. Amazon is looking for as much breadth of data to show you operate at bar raising levels consistently. Using exactly the same example for the same LP is just a waste. It's the same data given twice. You need to aim for additive data. Hope that helps 🧙♀️

Hi, thank you so much for awesome tips. I cleared first technical phone interview. Recruiter said that the phone interview went well and asked me availability for 2nd round phone interview. I am waiting for interview schedule right now. Is the 2nd round going to be behavioral questions or technical? How many rounds of interviews will be there?
Congratulations. Both questions are I'm afraid not ones I can give a definitive answer to. Each team will do things sightly differently. Generally if you haven't done behavioural questions in Round 1 then they'll come in Round 2. No one should get to Panel without having been tested on the LPs. In terms of number of rounds, I would expect 3 but again some technical teams do slip in an extra one from time to time. 🧙♀️

I will prepare for both to answer my best in 2nd round. While attending this interview, is it ok if I apply for other positions in Amazon? Or Does Amazon has any clause like once the candidate gave an interview for one position then he/she can’t apply

You can apply to other roles while in process for one. You'll only have to wait 6 months if you get a Not Inclined No Recycle outcome. See my video on Outcomes. 🧙♀️

I'd spin it a bit differently "you want to work somewhere faster paced with advanced technology". You make it about your ambition not their inadequacy. Good luck
Hello, sorry i don't know your name, i have a interview tomorrow for Amazon and i have just listened to this video. Amazon are now doing 2 seperate 30 min interviews for RME Technicians. i just wanted to know am i ok to repeat the same examples and stories to both interviewers or will they expect different responses?
i get the impression on chapter 4 that is is ok just to repeat what i said in the 2 interviews? i hope i can, its less to recall! am i allowed to use notes like you do? so i dont forget? haha

You should avoid repeating if you can- especially if you only have 2 interviews. If you repeat the same stories you present yourself as not being a consistent, regular high performer.
