My Take... US sanctions and tariffs against China just backfired on the US Economy (America Shocked)

Living in America I don't see it. It's booming here. Russia's war on Europe really pushed a lot of companies into America.

@@ryanwalters6184 Boom in the stock market doesn't mean the economy is doing well. The tech industry is already entering several rounds of layoffs with the worst to come. Job creation rate is dismal, inflation is crushing, and interest rates stifle business growth. Deficit spending is booming. National debt is skyrocketing. America has a surplus of Genocide.

Huawei took 4 years to 1) make advance chips for smartphones, 2) 5G chips, 3) replace US Oracle software with own software, 4) replace Android with HarmonyOS. It has better graphic cards than the reduced spec for China nVidia cards. Matter of a few years before Huawei catches up to nVidia.

The entrepreneur owners of Nvidia (& other tech oligarchs) kept quiet when the sanctions were started. They should’ve publicly stated their opposition to it. They should’ve known you cannot attempt to halt human progress in this ridiculous way.

Nobody cares what they think in America. Not sure why you think they have power.

Qualcomm actually sent an entire delegation to the Trump white house when the sanctions against Huawei started to warn them, but they didn’t listen 🤷🏻

Moral of the story? Sanctions create new markets...

Nvidia can for yet a while sell all the AI chips that TSMC can produce for them, so they don't suffer much yet.
But China doesn't want the huobbled chips Nvidia is allowed to sell to them. This loss of market will imped the future of Nvidia.
China themselves can produce the kind of AI chips Nvidia sells them. So, the Chinese producers has a market that allows them to improve themselves.
It might take years before they become better than Nvidia. But with the current politics they are sure to catch them eventually.
They have the growing market and profit enough to grow!

Huawei has always been at the cutting edge of chip design. The question is, can SMIC produce it?

Where are the chips manufactured? I dont doubt Huawei designing capabilities but the stranglehold on equipments for chip foundry production at 5nm or 3nm may hinder the performance of the AI chip unless they are using 7nm workaround chips similar to the mate n pura smartphones. Or they could this by stacking mature chips. Any updates on such technicality. If SMIC or SMEE accomplish a EUV breakthrough, that will be good for mankind

NVDA has a cutting-edge lead on Huawei. NVDA will be ahead for a long time until another US company becomes the frontrunner.

Can Huawei challenge Nvidia? You obviously have not read the interview with Mr. Huang, Nvidia's founder. Mr. Huang said that Huawei is competitor.

No, unless Huawei can steal Nvidia's technology, as it's done in the past with other tech firms.

Nvidia can make ton and ton of chips , but there is no buyers except China but US sanction on China, why makes and wastes

Nvidia manufactures AI chips at a 5 and 3nm process. Its going to be hard for Chinese chip manufacturers to reproduce this standard without the necessary equipment . These new Huawei chips are cumbersome and difficult to mass-produce .
